The Musafir

The Musafir
A Trap That Doesn't Look Like a Trap

“Hero Man should have known about the Sky Starter, right?”

MANTINGan simply nodded his head in return.

“News rumors from the martial world, Koying Palace opens the door wide for you.”

The store is actually very spacious, inversely proportional to what appears from the outside. There are many barriers. Inside the blocks are stored a variety of herbal plants. The aroma is very thick and piercing. There is also a basement, and that's where Wilguna brought Mantingan.

“Are you going to receive it?” ask Wilguna while continuing down the stairs.

“I don't think so, Grandma. I'm not used to staying in one place for too long. And I do not want to be involved with matters of state whose complexity is like unbreakable.” The mantan said softly, as if he had not spoken of rejection at all.

“Indeed that's how it happened in the kingdom. Like you said, there are so many complexities that seem unresolved. But there, your life will be happy. Bountiful money, good food, beautiful mistresses, obedient ladies, troops willing to protect with life. Ah, just so much.”

Manten. It sounded terrible in his ears. Commonly mistresses? He only wants one woman. He just wants his Sasmita ....

What are the protective forces? Mantingan knew very well that the Koying Kingdom would instead use it to protect the entire kingdom, not limited to the palace alone.

The mantan also does not want to live with the treasure. As long as the money is still enough for the purpose of traveling, then everything can be considered to be fine.

Good food? Indeed, Mantingan prefers to eat the dishes of a million travelers: beef jerky that is smoked to dry.

They finished down the stairs. In this basement, there are four passageways leading to four majors. Wilguna quickly led Mantingan into the hallway that leads to the west.

“But however, I am very happy to hear your decision. As warriors, we do live in a martial world, not a lay world. It must be a little bit to separate, if you do not want chaos that is not needed.” Wilguna chuckled softly with his hoarse voice. “The warriors have absolutely no need of kings in the lay world, including the Sky Stakeholders, it is only a strategy of kings to destroy the martial world.”

This time Mantingan nodded his head. The old woman's words were a lot of truth. The Sky Stake will only destroy the martial world, so be slow but sure.

Wilguna stopped right in front of one of the doors of the room connected to the hallway. He grasped the doorknob with his wrinkled hands, but urung opened it. He looked at Mantingan with more seriousness.

Mantingan stared flatly before saying flatly anyway, “Grandmother, why do you still want to trap me?”

Wilguna could not hide his surprise. It was clearly on his face. Lips vibrate. His eyes did not dare to stare directly at Mantingan, thus just staring dryly at the floor of the hallway.

“Who's waiting in there, Grandma?” The mantel asked back.

“Our network chief.” Wilguna answered briefly.

The mantang nodded his head. From the beginning, he had suspected that this store had involvement with the underground network of the martial world. For what if a small shop has an underground building so vast that it can accommodate dozens of medium-sized rooms in it?

“What is your business with me?” The mantan began to grip the headwaters of the Savrinadeya Sword on his waist belt, as well as unlocking the Kiai Kedai Sword.

“We need your help, if you'd like. We will not force you, but listen first to what our network leader will say in this room. We've been waiting for you for a long time.”

“Waiting me?” Mantang folding forehead. “So you guys have found out about my trip? With another question, have you guys been spying on me for a long time?”

“Not at all, Hero Man don't get me wrong.” Wilguna gulped, how the murderous air Mantingan accidentally let out had pressed down on him. “Good steps if Hero Man enters first. The chairman will explain everything to you.”

Wilguna pushed the door. It shows a dark-gulita room inside. His face looks convincing.

Glancing at the suspicions on Mantingan's face, Wilguna started looking down very low. Almost prostrate. “This old woman begs you, Hero Man.”

Mantingan stepped in, while Wilguna still continued to bow deeply in his place. Very grateful.

The door closed right after Mantingan stepped in. But not thumping. Except very soft and delicate. Almost no sound. Appearing a greenish glowing magic seal on the door body, Mantingan knows that it is a soundproof spell. Not a danger.

Four torches in each corner of the room lit up. Removing the contents of the room. Longitudinal. There were only two benches facing each other between a table. On one of the benches, there was a person in a wide and long black robe, in black gloves, and in wide cloth with a black cloth on his periphery—so that his face had been completely covered.

The mantle scrunched his forehead. That person was very covered in black. Not one bit Mantingan see the original look. Not even a piece of skin.

With his hand, the man pointed at the bench opposite to where he was sitting. Ask Mantingan to sit there. The young man complied too.

“Welcome, Hero Man.”

It seems like a female voice! From what was heard, the voice was smooth and soft, although the owner of the voice tried to display his decisiveness. Clearly still young.

The mantan fell silent while staring flatly. Don't know what to reply to. Moreover, he was figuring out why the Science of Hearing Dew Drops could not see the appearance of the person in front of him, as if there was only an empty bench there.

“It looks like you're not too happy.”

How sweet, gentle, and sweet the voice of the woman! The originally hard mantle, somehow became softened. The voice killed him.

“I am not happy.” That's how Mantingan replied. His voice sounded much heavier when compared to the voice of the woman in front of him. “You can be considered to have kidnapped me. Who would love to be kidnapped?”

“We had to do it, O mighty Hero Man. If you are not happy, then truly forgive us. All sorts—”

“Tell as necessary. I'm in a hurry.” The coat cuts finely. Not so sharp.

I heard the breath of the woman in front of him. Then he heard her say, “We managed to gather all sorts of news about you. We know that you have a very close relationship with Tapa Balian. And now, after the old man has been kidnapped, you are moving towards Koying. But we can only guess what you will do to free Tapa Balian. You may not know what to do to achieve that goal either. So here, I want to offer you something that might be called cooperation. And if you agree later, I'm sure you'll succeed in freeing Tapa Balian.”

The mantle held up his back. With an eye between curiosity and surprise.
