Title: Is It Happy for Me? (Part 4)

_________________________

'Hey, sneak down dong. You are sleeping yes. It's in front of your house, nih.'

'What?'

'No horror, yes! I screamed, you know.'

'Yes. yeah, I'm coming down, ' Ana said.

'What were you doing earlier?'

'A…'

'What did you do earlier?' repeat Dicka.

'Oh, again…'

Not yet had Ana continue her words, Dicka had already cut, 'Against me, huh? I'm a saucy.'

'Narcissistic basic!' ann replied while patting Dicka on the back rather loudly.

'Adaaww, sick tofu!'

'Belgain.'

After speaking for a while, Dicka passed. At that time, Ana did not realize that her father was watching her from behind curtains.

'An…'

That voice, Ana's mind in shock.

'Yes, dad?' asked Ana while turning to face her father.

'You promised…'

'Yes.'

'Of course, you will not avoid.'

Ana felt her body go limp in an instant. He will never forget his promise to me. Yes, he can no longer avoid. It won't be able to.

Ana looked at the ceiling in her room. Indeed, there's nothing there. It's just, Ana seemed to see the shadow of father with himself talking in the living room…

When he got home, he was reading the paper over coffee. In fact, I don't usually go home this afternoon. Yet, thankfully. Dad could help her.

'Dad!'

'What's up?' ask dad. He never once looked at Ana.

'Dad, I need…'

'Money? How many?'

I can read Ana's mind.

'Twenty-six million.'

Even if you don't react or show your emotions. Ana became afraid.

'Make what?' Finally, he said after a long silence. Ana waited tensely.

'Make my friend.'

'That's it? Ana, listen. I won't help your friend if you don't give me a reasonable excuse.'

Ana surrendered. He has no other choice. Only Dad can help her.

'An, avoid him.'

'But, father.' Ana protested, 'he helped me.'

'Yes, I have heard, ' replied the father firmly, 'Who was your friend's name?'

'Dicka.'

'Dad feels you don't fit in with him. He just wants to use you. You don't deserve to hang out with him.'

'Dad knows what about me? There aren't. Dad doesn't understand me. I also never knew who the real father was, Ana complained in a hoarse voice. Withheld tears that want to flow down with difficulty.

'Then, father can't help her either…'

'Dad.' Missing is the only hope. Ana knows Dicka's not a rich kid. After all, his father was on duty for a few months and it felt really impossible to contact him.

'… unless you want to accept father's terms.'

Ana's hopes are back.

'What?' asked Ana with enthusiasm.

'You can't find him. Four more months you're going to college, and you won't see him again. So, get everything done from now on, ' said Dad.

'Yes, dad. I promise.'

Do I have any other choice? thought Ana.

'Dad knows you're an adult.'

Ana did not understand what her father was saying.

Now, just one more month. Ana hasn't said anything to Dicka yet. He's still confused. What reaction will Dicka show? Sad or just calm down?

Why do I think he'll be sad? We're just regular friends. She must have forgotten me in a moment, Ana thought.

'What do you want to say, anyway?'

'I'm serious, Ka.'

'yes. Then…'

'I'll go…'

'I want to go I have to say something. Don't forget about it, yeah.'

Ana's heart became worried. Say it or not? He was not given a chance twice.

After sighing, Ana said, 'Ka, I'll be gone in a month. So, maybe we won't meet again after that.'

'For what?'

'Lecture,' Ana replied briefly.

Dicka. Then, he said, 'Oh, congratulations yes. You're gonna be a college student, dong. You're smart, not like me.'

Ana is sad. Dicka too. However, they do not want to show their feelings honestly.

'I didn't mean to…'

'Udah first, yes. I want to go, Dicka said. She doesn't want Ana to know that she needs him the most. Always needed Ana's presence. Always was! Always was! And always! Right now, he couldn't bear having to deal with Ana any longer.

'Wait…'

'What?'

'There's nothing.'

Let this feeling of love be hidden in my heart, Ana.

When she got home, Dicka blamed himself.

'Stupid! You idiot! You idiot! You stupid Dicka. Why am I not aware?' he said while banging his head with his hands, ' There are already many signs that Ana is showing. Is it too late now?'

Dicka recalled their strange encounter. Ana helped him out at the stall, at the racecourse. He smiled to himself.

Ana always takes care of him, gives him encouragement, and always supports him. He was a friend who was always by his side. Unlike other people who just claimed to be friends when they like it.

Dicka remembers Ana saying, 'God exists. He is always beside us. We are given priceless health. Lots of rich people are sick, you know. So what are their treasures for? Ka, you don't ruin yourself, yeah. Make what? It will be of no use. Your actions will only trouble others.'

Then, Ana patted her shoulder softly.

Right now, she's going to be gone from Dicka's life, maybe forever. He didn't know whether to be sad or laugh. Apparently, God was happy to play tricks on him. If Ana's not around, what about her?

'Do I feel happy when he leaves? No.'

I don't know since when, Dicka stopped playing girls and drinking. Ana has given her color in her life. Then, he would just lose it?

The next day, Dicka rushes to meet Ana.

'Lho, why are your eyes?'

'Ah, it's okay. I can't sleep all night.'

'What are you thinking until you can't sleep?'

'Thinking you.'

'Huh?'

'I love you, An.'

'Wait 'wait! Wait up.'

'What?'

'you mean?'

'I mean, I really love you. Will you be…'

Ana was of course shocked to death to hear that.

'What the fuck? Why suddenly?'

'Your answer?'

'Ka, you have a fever again, yes.'

'Your answer?'

Ana actually wanted to say 'yes', but again her father's words entered her mind.

'Sorry. I can't.'

'Why? Don't you love me too?'

Ana's heart was completely dislodged from its place. Since when does Dicka know? Now, there's no point in lying.

'Yes, I do love you, ' Ana said bitterly.

'Then, what's the problem? We can still meet when you get home.'

'… But, I promised you, ' said Ana, 'if you would give me twenty-six million…'

Ana was surprised by herself. What did he say just now? Fortunately, Dicka couldn't have known about it.

'So, you're the one. Tell me, An. Why did you do it. I don't need your help.'

Dicka looked just as shocked as Ana.

'Ka, I'm scared. I have no other way. I don't want to lose you. Well, at least I can see you to this day, ' said Ana while trying to smile, even though she wanted to cry.

Actually, Dicka wanted to hug Ana and whisper the words that everything would be fine. However, it turned out that he was just stuck in his place, until Ana said, 'Tomorrow I will go.'

'Quick that?' dicka asked in shock.

'Yes, my departure accelerated by one week.'

Silent.

A moment later, 'So, forget me.'

When saying it, Ana's heart was like being sliced open. It feels so painful.

'Yeah, if you were my destiny, someday, somewhere, somewhere, somewhere, we'd meet again. And I won't forget you.'

Dicka really understood, he couldn't possibly be worthy of Ana. He's too tall to reach.

Ana looked around. Her feelings told her that Dicka was nearby, looking at her.

'You see what? Quick ride!'

'Yes, dad.'

'An, come!' exclaimed mother.

Ana rushed to the car. Again, his eyes were opened. Suddenly, his eyes were fixed on the figure of someone standing behind the lush trees.

Dicka was looking at the car as if he wanted to pierce through the dark glass of the car to look at Ana. And, Ana was eager to run towards him, but by then the car had already sped away from the courtyard of the house.

Forgive me, you will always be stored in my heart, inner Ana.

After Ana's death, Dicka's life becomes chaotic and empty. He ignored his friends who invited him to race. He doesn't want anything. She just wants to be with Ana. His smile, his eyes, his voice, everything. Why does he feel so tormented?

Yes, he must end it all.

When she opened her eyes, Dicka was in the hospital. And, his father was sleepy beside him. Waiting for him? So, when did you come home? And, why did he not remember at all what happened to him. Dicka was alone. It was as if he had just woken up from a long sleep.

'The child does not know himself. What if I didn't come home!' shouted his father.

'Sir, please calm down, ' said one of the nurses.

'Sorry, ' Dad replied, without reducing the volume of his voice.

'What am I, then?' dicka was confused.

'I should have asked. Why did you do it?'

'Do what?'

'Look at your hand, ' replied Dad in annoyance.

And, looking at the bandage in her hand, Dicka recalled it all. All the problems that lay in his mind, until he decided to…

'Daddy nolong Dicka everything?' protest, 'I want to die. I'm too tired…'

Plaque! A slap landed on Dicka's cheek.

'Dad…'

His father no longer cared about the shocked look around them.

'But, wouldn't you rather I disappear forever?'

'Dicka, you're the only father in the world. How can you live without you? I love you so much, ' said Dad, holding Dicka's trembling hand.

'But, wasn't it all this time…'

'Sssst. The matter should not be taken up again, ' said his father softly.

Since when was the last time you called him 'son'? Dicka doesn't remember it anymore.

'Dad admit if all this time the wrong father for ignoring you. Your father failed. Sorry, lad. I let you grow up alone.'

'Yes! Dad is outrageous, wants to win by yourself…!'

Dicka did not continue his words when he saw father looking at him blankly.

'Dad?'

Suddenly Dad said, 'When you look at me, you always feel like you're dealing with that woman.' And, Dicka saw there was pain in my father's eye.

'Who? Mum?' ask Dicka.

'Don't mention his name again.'

Dicka was silent without comment.

Then, he said, 'Dad doesn't expect much if you're willing to forgive dad. You've been hurt too much.'

Dicka was worried. On one hand, he really wanted to forgive his father, but he still clearly remembered how he beat him without mercy.

But suddenly he remembered Ana's words.

'Forgive Dicka too, Dad. I've never made you feel proud.'

Yes, there must be a second chance for both of us, Dicka's inner self. And, they're smiling. A smile full of relief.

There is no warm embrace. However, that was when Dicka felt a warmth flowing into his heart. She knew one of her happiness had returned. I love him, worry about him.

'Dad, I'll try to change.'

'Yes, dad too.'

From that moment on, Dad really proved his point. And so is Dicka. He did not want to disappoint his father.
