Mentari in the Night Sky
The Past: Experiments

Just one day ago I had a polygraph test done on me and Ken to find out what feelings we had and now I've finished that test. I wanted to know what agreement Ken and Dad had with Uncle Parker until he agreed to the test. Yesterday when I was talking about the cancellation of matchmaking, everyone was against the idea I gave and kept saying that polygraph tests can't detect 100% lies%. I also know that but at least with a polygraph test, they could observe any changes in my blood pressure, pulse, or breath that would end up knowing whether I was lying or not.

To be honest, this test was the only way I could scientifically prove the feelings I had, according to the terms of the agreement.

Mother told me that the marriage annulment agreement was made exactly one day before Aunt Lily's death. The existing agreement is a proposal from Uncle Parker and of course the results written in the agreement are not the results desired by the aunt or mother.

Both mother and aunt want the cancellation of the match can be done at any time without any conditions because they do not want in the future me or Ken feel what they feel due to the love story that has not ended from each of the love stories we might find in the future. More precisely mother and aunt do not want me to feel what they have experienced during their marriage. They don't want me to feel a betrayal of the sacred promise of marriage to be said. Aunt Lily was afraid that Ken would come down to her father's character and she was afraid that father's karma would come after me.

"Are you sure you're okay? Your face is still pale."

I turned my attention away from the birds flying in the hospital garden to the source of the voice that was now sitting beside me. I returned his eyes and smiled while nodding in response to the question he asked. Ken and I started the polygraph test at the same time but I finished it first. There was no way he could get any additional questions or other questions because everything was arranged and approved by my father directly so there could be no cheating.

"What will you do after this? Do you have another show?"

"I've got a date with Alvin's sister, a date I should have done last week."

"So, that outfit you're wearing right now, is that a farewell suit for me or for Brother Alvin?"

I was stunned to hear that question. I didn't even think that I was currently wearing farewell clothes.

"That means I still have one more chance to see your parting suit, right?" asked Ken while laughing as if he already knew the answer to his question.

"What do you want to do?" I finally gave up on staying silent in the face of Ken's rant.

"Love you right."

"Zeta, can't I get a second chance to wait for you during the time you need."

I immediately turned my head towards her and already found her gentle gaze. The sentence he had just spoken was the same as the sentence Alvin had said. One seemed unlikely to be able to think of such a sentence. There's no way he's listening to all my conversations with Alvin in the music room, is he?

"I'm sorry for listening to your conversation without your permission" he continued as if he was giving an answer to a question I gave him through my gaze.

"Ken, you didn't pay the people inside to manipulate the test results, did you?" ask me with fear.

"Your father was eager to annul our match and they were all men chosen directly by your father. How could I possibly pay them when they had already gotten a sizeable payment? And how can I make them betray when your father also gives them great fear?"

"..."

"I didn't do anything stupid, Zeta. And honestly I'm pretty happy with the result."

Ting.

"I think it's time for you to date Alvin. Go, your bodyguards also continue to look towards us daritadi. Enjoy your time."
