Chapter 78: Layla's Choice

It took a few days to get the divorce papers, after all Rico delivered Layla's divorce papers to Kei's house after Layla's signature. "Ric..where are you? why don't you come over on our wedding day?" ask Raiden .

"Sorry Rai.I'm in the hospital again."

"Layla why?" cut Raiden.

"Layla passed out and is now being treated by Dr. Kenzi" Rico said.

"Tuuuttt" call disconnected, Rico frowned staring at the phone screen. Then he put the phone back in his pants pocket.

Fifteen minutes into Rico standing at the door, he saw Raiden and Sila walking down the hospital hallway approaching him.

"you guys? aren't you married today?" rico looked at the two of them.

"We left the wedding reception, we were worried about Layla's circumstances..Ric," said Raiden. Please nod your head justifying Raiden's speech.

"How's Layla doing?" tanya Sila stared at the closed door. Rico shook his head.

"I don't know yet." replied Rico quietly. They both looked at each other and then looked down. Before long, the sound of the door of the room opened from inside. Rico and the others immediately approached Doctor Kenzi when they saw him coming out of the room.

"Dok, what about Layla?" the three of them looked anxiously at Dr. Kenzis.

Dr. Kenzi took a deep breath, "Layla's brain cancer cells are spreading, but we'll try our best." Dr. Kenzi looked down for a moment. " The difficulty is now, Layla is pregnant. We only give one choice..Layla. or the baby.but we're going to keep trying to save both."

Raiden and Please look at each other for a moment, "what can we do Doc?" ask Raiden and Please. While Rico was silent, he could not say anything more.

"Make him happy, make him enjoy his life.don't let him be sad or don't give him a heavy burden of thought" explains Dr. Kenzis.

" Layla, you can take a look, and I'm sorry." They nodded, then entered the room where Layla was being treated. Rico immediately sat down on the chair and grabbed Layla's hand. Raiden and Sila sat to the right of Layla's bed.

"Congratulations, on your marriage," Layla said smilingly staring at Raiden and Sila. "Sorry, I can't come."

Please hug Layla, "you cheat, anyway after you get out of the hospital.you have to give us a gift," please. Layla laughs a little.

"Well.do you want what gift from me?" ask Layla. Please let go of his embrace. He stared fixedly at Layla's two eyeballs.

"I want a special gift from you" said Raiden.

"What?" ask Layla.

"I'll give it to you" Layla replied smiling.

"Thank you" said Sila hugging Layla for a moment.

"Rico.." said Layla slowly, he turned to look at Rico who was rubbing his eyes.

"Yes." said Rico turning his face away for a moment.

"I have a request, even if you don't mind."

"Tell Layla, all I can do is accept." Rico squeezed Layla's hand.

"Do you want to be the father of my son?" tanya Layla looked at Rico expectantly. "Will you?"

Rico chuckled, he touched Layla's cheek, "of course I want to, Layla.."

"really?" ask Layla.

"As sincerely as I love you sincerely" Rico hugged Layla. Layla cries when she hears Rico's answer. Rico took off his embrace and wiped the tears on Layla's cheek. "Don't cry anymore.smile for me.that's all I asked," Layla nodded her head smilingly looking fixedly at Rico's face. Then he turned to look at Raiden and Sila who were hugging. Layla laughed when she saw the two of them. Raiden dabmn Sila took off her arms staring confusedly at Layla.

"What's wrong? ask Sila.

"It's a hospital, you guys don't get friendly here" said Layla. Raiden and the others laughed even though it felt forced.

The burden on Layla's heart was slightly reduced, now she realized that all this time, she did not lack the affection of them. Layla promises to give her best for the rest of her life to those who have sacrificed so much for her. Before long Raiden and Sila say goodbye and promise to come again tomorrow morning.

While Layla rested in her room after taking medicine from Dr. Rico himself waits for Layla outdoors while playing a cell phone.

"Rican? what are you doing here?" Rico looked up at Kei who was standing before him.

"Is Layla sick again?" ask Kei. Rico was silent. Seeing Rico's silence, Kei becomes convinced that Rico is guarding Layla. Kei looked towards the door of the room where Layla was in the open, then he rushed to the door. But Rico stops him, he catches up with Kei and confronts him before Kei opens the door.

"Don't stop me!" kei looked at Rico's face.

"Enough Kei, don't hurt Layla.don't add to Layla's mind burden" Rico said slowly. "Let her be calm for the rest of her life.let her be happy because she deserves to be happy!"

Kei fell silent for a moment and said, "what do you mean?"

"Layla is faced with one choice, her life.or her baby.and Layla's brain cancer is very thin hope to heal, so I beg you.you don't bother Layla anymore.." Rico folded his arms, pleading expectantly, so that Kei would stay away from Layla. Kei let out a long sigh, he lowered his head.

"All my fault." he said slowly.
