Chapter 29: The Murder

" Basic *****! I pay you a heavy price not to be a coward!" yuda said in a high tone, looking at the two men of his man to finish off Raiden.

The two men lowered their heads and said. " I'm sorry sir, there were people watching us" one of the men replied.

"*****! just find your reason! anyway I don't want to know, you guys have to sort Raiden out today!" yuda said grimly staring at the two men.

"Well sir" the two men replied in unison.

"Go quickly! and do it well without a trace, you know!" Yuda widened his eyes looking at the two burly men.

The two burly men nodded their heads for a moment, and they left the office of Judah.

"Well!"

Yuda hit the table with his right hand very hard. "Basic useless!"

Two hours passed, after finishing buying stationery, Layla and Raiden left the store. Raiden glanced at his watch which showed at 19:30.

"Layla, I'm so hungry. How about we get some food first?" asked Raiden looking at Layla.

Layla nodded her head. "Yes can."

Then Layla and Raiden left the shop yard and walked towards the side of the road. Raiden clasped Layla's hand tightly, while the other hand held a bag containing stationery. Then they crossed the road. Raiden accidentally did not bring his car and chose to walk because the painting shop is not far from Layla's house. "Layla, how about we eat goat satay down the street?" asked Raiden pointing towards the end of the road.

Layla turned her head towards the end of the road and nodded her head. "Come on."

Raiden and Layla turn their bodies towards the end of the road approaching the satay seller who looks crowded visitors. Layla's feet suddenly stumbled upon a block of wood lying on the road.

"Sir"

Layla almost falls but Raiden swiftly restrains Layla's body so as not to fall. Layla held onto Raiden's arm and briefly glanced back.

Suddenly Layla pushes Raiden's body to the side, causing Raiden to fall into the street.

"Babhl!"

"Aakkhh" Layla held onto her stomach, she rounded her eyes looking at the two men before her. Then the two men immediately turned around running as fast as they could leaving Layla covered in blood on her stomach.

Unexpected events make Raiden not have time to do anything. Raiden was fixated with both eyes widened looking at Layla who was slowly falling and collapsing on the road.

"Lalinaa!!" raiden shouted straight up and ran towards Layla. Raiden turns Layla's body upside down and she immediately hysterically yells at Layla.

"Goddessa!"

Raiden holds a knife in Layla's stomach. Raiden also looked around and asked for help from people who were in the satay shop.

"Please! help!"

People who were in the satay shop immediately rushed to Raiden. "What's the Bang?" asked one of the residents to look at Raiden and Layla who were covered in blood.

"Please Bang, take me to the hospital" Raiden said in a panic.

"Let's help, let's help lift!"

"Layla, hold on dear" Raiden said, lifting Layla's body in a person's aid and putting her in the car of one of the men who helped Raiden to a nearby hospital.

"Layla hold on, hold on dear" said Raiden, hugging Layla tightly. The clothes Raiden was wearing were wet with bloodstains from Layla's constantly flowing belly.

"I'm sorry, Layla, we should go straight home, Layla I'm sorry" Raiden said.

"Defend Layla, hold on dear. Bang can be faster" said Raiden fear and panic mixed into one. He kept on letting out his words of regret along the way.

"Quick take it to the ER room" said Dr Adrian.

"Hold Layla, hold on dear" Raiden said along the hospital aisle. Arriving at the ER room door Doctor Adrian asks Raiden to wait outside the ER room.

Raiden stood pacing back and forth in front of the ER room door anxiously. He bit his index finger while pacing back and forth for some time. While in the room, Dr. Adrian was performing surgery.

Raiden was sitting limp in the room chair he cupped his face in. "Layla, hang on Layla" he said slowly.

Raiden lowered his hand to hear the sound of footsteps running down the hospital hallway. Raiden sees Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman approaching.

"Den..Den Rai..how is Neng Layla?" mbok Darmi asked with a stingy breath.

Raiden stood up and held the arms of Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman. "I don't know yet Mbok, Mang, the Doctor hasn't come out of the operating room" Raiden replied standing up and bowing his head.

Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman raised both hands and said. "Yes Rabb, heal Neng Layla, save Neng Layla Ya Rabb" said the two then they rub into the face after finishing praying for Layla's recovery.

"Why is this Den?" mbok Darmi asked with tears, looking at Raiden.

"I don't know how to begin the story of Mbok's incident, the stabbing of an unknown person so quickly."

"But why would they want to kill Neng Layla? as far as I know Neng Layla has no enemies Den?" mang Usman's question awakened Raiden, and he recalled the assault at Layla's parents' funeral, this was no coincidence. But someone's planning, but who? Yuda yet? that's what Raiden was thinking.

"While Usman has nothing to worry about, I will report it to the authorities and ask the Police to uncover the case" raiden stared at Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman who looked worried about Layla who was considered their own daughter. So did Layla, after the departure of her parents.

A few minutes of the atmosphere outside the room was silent for a moment. No talk of what. Meteka dissolves in grief and continues to pray for Layla's recovery.

Suddenly they heard the sound of the door opening from inside. Raiden, Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman immediately stood up and walked over to the door of the room. They saw Doctor Adrian coming out the door.

Raiden immediately approached Dr. Adrian. "What about Layla Dok?" asked Raiden anxiously.

Doctor Adrian sighed deeply while taking off his gloves. "Layla has passed her critical period, but now Layla is unconscious" replied Dr Adrian.

Raiden immediately thanked the Most Alive. Then back hugged Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman.

"Alhamdulillah" said Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman while returning Raiden's embrace.

"Raiden, you have to report the case to the authorities" Adrian said.

"Raiden took off his arms and turned to look at Doctor Adrian. " It's Doc."

"Then excuse me, you can see Layla inside" said Dr Adrian.

"Okay Doc, thank you."

Doctor Adrian nodded his head, then he stepped out of the room followed by the Sister who helped him.

Raiden went straight into the room followed by Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman. Raiden walked slowly closer to Layla who was lying weakly on the bed. Raiden took a chair and sat down on the chair.

"Thank you, you saved my life Layla" said Raiden, touching Layla's fingers and stroking her gently.

"I realized, love does not have to be said with words, this event at once awakened me. That you love me Layla" said Raiden, smiling bitterly at Layla's pale face.

"Neng Layla, Mbok's favorite.cepet healed" said Mbok Darmi who stood beside Layla's bed with tears. Mbok Darmi and Mang Usman witness the lives of the Surya and Anita families. How they struggle to get a child. And how Layla struggles to maintain her love for Kei. Mang Usman who saw Mbok Darmi crying, he stretched his hand rubbed Mbok Darmi's back to calm his heart.

"I will report this case, and if my guess is correct Judah will receive the appropriate consequences" Raiden said softly, bowing his head kissing Layla's fingers.

'Yuda??' mbok Darmi and Mang Usman said in their hearts they looked at each other. Then he looked at Raiden.
