Kei And Layla

Chapter 13: Getting sick.

Since the events at Puncak Bogor, Abdul put two bodyguards right in front of Kei's room door. After the previous Kei moved to a room that does not have a window so that Kei can not escape from the house. Not only that, Abdul and Anita will accelerate the marriage of Kei and Dinda son of Pak Yuda, a businessman who is the wealthiest because it has an illegal business that is not known to Abdul and Alya.

That afternoon Surya and Alya decide to meet Yuda to discuss a good wedding date for their son later. They arrived at the house of Judah. The Yuda family welcomed Abdul and Alya.

Alya and Abdul also expressed the intention of his arrival to the family of Judah. Of course, very well welcomed. Eventually Dinda gets married to a nice, obedient man. It was in Judah's mind that his son would be happy with Kei. Moreover, Dinda liked Kei from the first sight because of Kei's good looks. But Judah did not know that what he thought was wrong.

"I agree Mr. Abdul, Mr. Alya. We will direct the wedding in the next two weeks" said Yuda with great joy.

While Dinda just kept quiet and lowered her head blushed in embarrassment.

"Then we will prepare everything" replied Abdul no less happy.

"Oh, no need sir. Let all I handle about the marriage of Mr. Abdul and Bu Alya just shut up and sit sweetly at home. Let me all be responsible."

Abdul and Alya looked at each other for a moment with a smile. "Well, thank you so much sir." Abdul lowered his head for a moment.

"Yes the same, for Dinda's sake whatever I will do" Yuda replied as she stroked Dinda's hair blushing in shame.

"Then we say sir." Alya decided to go home after all agreed.

"OK, I will tell you that everything is finished" Yuda replied as he rose from his seat, followed by Abdul and Layla. Then Abdul and Layla shook hands with each other. Without them knowing Abdul officially sold his son for the sake of the treasure.

Abdul and Alya withdrew and left the house of Yuda with a feeling of relief and happiness. But what about Kei?

Arriving at Alya's house and Abdul prepare dinner with all Kei's favorite foods to please Kei. Alya and Abdul enter Kei's room. They saw Kei just quietly sitting unmoved on the edge of the bed.

"Key?"

Kei turned his head to look at Abdul and Alya for a moment then returned silent with a blank look.

Alya approached Kei and pulled Kei's hand to stand up, "We eat dear, I've prepared your favorite meal."

"No, I don't want to eat" Kei replied coldly.

"You should eat and take care of Kei. In two weeks you'll be married to Dinda" Abdul stared intently at Kei's face.

"What?" Kei rounded his eyes not believing his father would do that. Forcing Kei to marry a woman Kei doesn't love.

Abdul nodded his head and said, "yes it's true."

"I don't want to get married! I'd rather die!" yelled Kei in a high tone until it sounded outside the room.

Hearing Kei's words, made Abdul rise in blood and unable to hold back his emotions.

"Gat!!"

Abdul slaps Kei to the side. Kei held his cheek and stared intently at Abdul with a hunting breath holding back the anger.

"Children don't know in profit! Dinda's a good and respectable girl! He's the best for you Kei!" pekik Abdul no less harsh.

"best? Dad sold me!"

"Plakkk!!

Abdul slaps Kei again to silence Kei. Alya who was watching shouted to mediate to the two, " Enough Sir! he's our son!"

"Turn him and advise him to be more polite!" Abdul turned his legs towards the door and left Kei's room.

"Key, understand. Forget Layla and follow our wishes. We want nothing more than to see you happy" Alya said, trying to persuade Kei.

"Happy? who do you think Mom is happy? " Kei started sobbing, her heart was sore. "If that's what Mom and Dad want, well I'll do but don't let Mom and Dad regret the end" Kei replied. Then he climbed up onto the bed and laid his body on the bed with a slanted sleeping position turned his back on Alya.

"Kei, let's eat." Layla sat on the edge of the bed touching Kei's shoulder.

"Don't you want to see me happy?" Kei turned his head to look at Alya for a moment then returned to his original position.

"What do you mean?" Alya's question did not understand Kei's intention.

"I'd be happier if I died, than if I had to marry a girl I didn't love."

"Let's!" alya exclaimed at Kei's reply.

"Didn't you want me to be happy? then let me die."

"You really pissed off Mother Kei!"

But Kei did not give any answer to Alya. He just kept quiet and didn't budge.

Alya gives up and leaves Kei's room, then asks his housekeeper to deliver the food into Kei's room.

Kei's day was spent in the room, during which time Kei fasted. He did not touch food or drink. All the food Alya made for Kei was untouched at all. Until Kei's body weakens and has a high fever.

Alya and Abdul were very worried but did not soften the hearts of Abdul or Alya to cancel the marriage. Finally Abdul called the Doctor home and checked Kei's condition.

"How's Doc?" ask Alya.

The doctor shook his head, "The condition is very weak, give this medicine regularly and try to make him eat and drink even a little." the doctor said as he handed him a piece of paper containing a prescription drug that Abdul had to buy.

"Well Doc, thank you" Abdul replied as he received the Doctor's prescription.

"I'm sorry then." The doctor lowered his head for a moment. Then say goodbye back home and delivered Abdul to the terrace of the house.

Abdul looked at the paper in his hand and said, "why are you so stubborn Kei." Abdul grunted annoyed.

After that he tells Alya to buy medicine and asks Alya to take care and give Kei to eat and drink. Because in two days Kei is getting married.

"Kei, just eat a little, let you recover quickly" said Alya staring at the bowl containing the porridge in his hand. But Kei remained silent and did not want to eat. Seeing Kei insist like that, Alya cried in front of Kei. Not because of fear of losing Kei but what makes Alya cry he is afraid that his marriage fails and he can be sued by Yuda.

Seeing his mother crying, Kei's heart was moved to eat the porridge even if only a little. Seeing Kei want to eat made Alya stop her crying and smile.

"Good boy." While rubbing Kei's cheeks that look sunken because they do not want to eat. After Kei eats, Alya leaves Kei in his room alone.

"Layla forgive me" Kei murmured softly and continued to be repeated many times with glassy eyes.

"Layla I'm sorry, if someday I'm no longer by your side. I'm waiting for you in eternity" Kei murmured softly.

Two souls fused into one in the sanctity of love, like a mystery that will somehow end. But true love will continue to paint history in every generation to generation and will always be remembered for the stories of lovers.

But, in a quiet, silent room, there was only sadness and tears. Kei sat curled up in the corner of his room. She cried by saying Layla.

"Layla, I promise. Even if I married that girl, I wouldn't touch her, not Layla."

Kei stared blankly, then turned his gaze to a table before him. Then he got up and stood up. Then Kei stepped his feet closer to the table. He looked at everything on the table as if someone was in his way.

"Silet." he said softly.

Kei stared at the razor blade lying on the table. Slowly his hand stretched out to take the razor that was on the table. Then he opened it and threw the razor bag onto the floor.

Kei let out a long breath. He closed his eyes, his lips closed. Then his right hand was raised up and the left hand that held the razor directly he scratched in his veins.

"Srett!

Fresh blood flowed profusely on Kei's wrist, kei grimacing enduring the pain and agony on his wrist. His eyes slowly blurred and darkness greeted him. Kei collapsed onto the floor unconscious.

But luck is still on Kei's side, which means the Almighty does not want Kei to die this way. Alya came to Kei's room with food. He opened the door of Kei's room, and immediately dropped the plate onto the floor.

" Brankkk!!"

"Y!!!"

Alya screamed hysterically calling Kei, he immediately approached Kei and lifted Kei's head into his lap.

"Byhurkey!! Hey, Paaakk!!" Alya screams calling Abdul.

Abdul, who was in the living room with his two bodyguards, ran towards the sound, when he heard Alya screaming hysterically.

"Let's!!" he immediately lifted Kei's body and carried it and placed it on the bed.

"Hurry up Doctor Ma'am!!" sermon Abdul

Alya immediately rushed to the living room to call the Doctor, While Surya picked up the cloth in the closet and tied Kei's wrist.

Shortly thereafter, the Doctor came with one nurse carrying the necessary medical instruments. They went straight into Kei's room and handled it.

Alya and Abdul wait outside Kei's room, they look very scared if they lose Kei. But not a bit of the heart of Abdul or Anita softened. Although various events have God sent messages to them. Abdul and Anita continue to accuse Layla of being the source of the problems. Until their hatred for Layla grows.

"Until I die, I won't let Kei marry that unlucky girl." Gigi Abdul was struggling to hold back the anger.

"May Kei be fine." Alya kept pacing back and forth in front of Kei's room door.

An hour passed, finally the Doctor came out of Kei's room. " Sir, Ma'am" said the Doctor.

"What about Kei, Doc?" alya asked worriedly.

"Alhamduliah, Son of Father and Mother, can be helped." The doctor lowered his head for a moment.

"Thank you Doc, can I come in?" ask Abdul.

"Don't you, sir, let Kei rest." The doctor and nurse came out and closed Kei's room door.

"How many days do you think Kei's healing process is, Doc?" ask Anita.

"The wounds on his hands can heal quickly, ma'am, but the wounds from inside him are hard to heal, so I hope. Mom and Dad didn't burden Kei's mind."

Alya and Abdul looked at each other for a moment, then they lowered their heads, "well Doc, and thank you."

The doctor nodded his head, then they said goodbye to go back to work, after giving a prescription that Abdul had to buy, the doctor will also come back again in the afternoon to check on Kei's condition.

Then Abdul delivered the Doctor to his front of his house, after which he went back inside the house.

"The boy became very stubborn." Abdul threw his body on the sofa.

"What about the wedding tomorrow? we can't possibly rewind Kei's wedding schedule?" anita asked, in the least as a mother her heart softened against her own flesh and blood. All he had in mind was the treasure of marriage.

"The wedding will still take place tomorrow Ma'am" said Surya. "If not, we will be caught by Judah." Abdul is pinching his temple.

As parents, they think only of their own ego, rather than the mere happiness of the Son.

Minutes passed, the clock changed. Kei had already regained his senses and was staring at the sky of the room.

"Why am I still alive, why would I live if I had to marry another girl."

Out of nowhere, a butterfly enters Kei's room and perches in Kei's hand. Kei looked at the large black and yellow beautiful Butterfly.

"Laila?" kei slowly said. "What do you want to say?" ask Kei to the Butterfly.

Then the Butterfly flew low alight on Kei's nose. Kei chuckled slightly staring at the Butterfly.

"What's? you're asking me not to be sad?" said Kei. "Well, Layla, if that's your request."

Then the Butterfly flew back up high and out of the room along with the door that opened. Kei sees Anita and Abdul coming into the room.

"Kei.." said Alya slowly. Then he sat down on the edge of the bed.

"How are you doing now?" ask Abdul.

Kei turned his face to the side. He did not talk to his parents at all.

"Key, I'm asking you."

Again Kei just kept quiet and still did not want to see the two of them. To bring Abdul back emotion.

"Let's!"

Alya immediately held Abdul's hand, so that Abdul did not speak loudly to Kei.

"Already sir, let Kei rest."

Abdul snorted angrily, then he turned back and stepped his feet out of the room.

Alya took a deep breath, "do you need anything?" ask Alya.

Kei was still silent, and turned his face away.

"All right, Mom's going out. You rest to recover quickly." Alya got up from her seat, momentarily staring at Kei. Then he turned around leaving Kei alone in his room.

"I'm sorry, Mom, Dad. You have disappointed me so much" Kei lirih said.
