Chapter 48: The Truth of Love

Raiden and Layla reach the school gate, and Raiden drops Layla into a wheelchair. Then he pushed her into the gate.

"Master Teacher!" greet a student from behind.

Raiden reverses Layla's wheelchair. He and Layla saw Keila coming out of the car door and approaching her.

"Mom's To." Keila kisses Layla and Raiden's hands.

"By Keila too, let's go in. You'll be late." Layla rubbed Keila's hair for a moment.

Keila nodded her head, "Mother, meet Keila's father and mother." Finished talking like that, Keila immediately ran over and got into the car. Asking Kei and Clara to get acquainted with Layla. Kei and Clara finally fulfill Keila's wish. They got out of the car and walked over to Layla and Raiden.

Layla and Raiden widened their eyes, staring at the familiar figure.

"Key?" said Raiden slowly.

"Key?" layla lirih.

They don't believe what they see. Kei's figure was in front of them. Layla and Raiden rubbed their eyes to make sure.

"Good morning" said Kei and Clara in unison.

Clara and Kei looked at each other for a moment, they frowned looking at Layla and Raiden who were dumbfounded.

"Key, are you alive?" raiden asked, both hands outstretched and directly hugging Kei tightly.

"Key?"

"Crazy for you, where are we looking for you." Raiden continued to hug Kei tightly. He overflowed all his longing and resentment for not finding him for fifteen years.

"Sorry, my name is Samuel, not Kei." Kei pushed Raiden's body back two steps.

"Samuel?" layla said slowly.

"Are you crazy? your name's Kei!" said Raiden slightly raising his tone in annoyance.

"I'm sorry, this is my husband, his name is Samuel" Clara said as she pulled Kei's arm back.

"Haha! no way! you're kidding, aren't you?" Raiden shook his head, and thought Kei was joking.

"We're not kidding, he's my husband Samuel. Not Kei." Clara makes clear Raiden's doubts.

"Maybe he's right Rai, he's not Kei." Layla pulls Raiden's hand back so Raiden doesn't insist on assuming the man's husband is Kei.

"No Layal! he's Kei! I know that!" exciting Raiden.

"Not Rai." Actually Layla also believes that the man in front of her is Kei, but what makes Layla not stubborn is the presence of a woman next to Kei who claims to be his wife.

"Like my dream last night" Layla said softly, to the point of being unheard by others.

"Then we'll excuse you" said Clara. "Son, you're in, you'll have bad luck."

"Good Mother." Keila ran into the class.

"Once again, sorry." Clara lowered her head for a moment, then she pulled Kei's arm.

"Wait Kei! don't you see Layla! Raiden blocks Kei and Clara's steps.

" Look Layla!" Raiden pointed towards Layla.

Kei turned his head to look at Layla who lowered her head while crying.

"You can forget about me Kei, but you can't treat Layla like this, she doesn't stop looking for you Kei!" Raiden was increasingly furious at Kei's attitude which seemed indifferent to Layla.

"Layla" Kei began to feel his head throbbing violently. He held his head and shouted.

"No!! no!!"

Kei dropped his body down and sat down while holding his head. "No!"

"I told you! he's not Kei! he's my husband Samuel!" Clara gets angry and berates Raiden. He tries to lift Kei's body, and breaks him into the car.

"No way, what happened to Kei?" raiden stared at Clara's car leaving school.

"It's Rai." Layla's eyes shed tears.

Raiden approached Layal, then squatted in front of Layla. "Don't cry, I'll find out" Raiden said.

"I want to go home" Layla said.

"All right, we're home." Raiden pushes Layla's wheelchair, and drives her home.

Then Raiden returned to the school where Keila studied. He asks Valeri and Stela to find Keila's data and the home address. After Raiden gets the address of Keila's father and mother's house, Raiden leaves for Clara and Kei's house.

It didn't take long, Raiden finally found the address. For a moment he stayed in the car watching Clara's house. He pulled the car over and approached Clara's door.

Raiden knocks on Clara's door, but unfortunately, Clara and Kei are not home. The only one at home is Minah alone.

"Same mother Father, to the hospital." Minah lowered her head for a moment.

"May I ask you about Ms Clara's husband?" asked Raiden looking at Minah.

"Is it true that Ms Clara's husband is Mr Samuel?" ask Raiden to Minah.

Minah was silent for a moment, "true sir."

Raiden sighed deeply, he thought again. "Maybe it's true, it's not Kei."

"Are you unclear?" greeting someone from behind, Raiden turned his head to look at Clara who was already standing behind him. But Raiden doesn't see Kei with Clara.

"I beg you, tell me the truth, Miss Clara." Raiden folded his hands and looked at Clara.

Clara is silent, she feels guilty if it is true they are her family, but Clara also does not want to lose Kei. "He's Samuel, not Kei!"

"Well, if that's the case but, before I go. I'll tell you why I'm like this."

Raiden lowered his hand and walked closer to Clara. He stands behind Clara while telling her all about Layla and Kei. How Kei and Layla struggle until the abduction event again separates them.

"Then, excuse me." Raiden glanced for a moment at Clara. Then he put his foot up.

"Wait!"

Raiden stopped his steps, then he looked back at Clara who was walking towards him.

Clara breathed deeply. "Yes, Samuel I found in a state of memory loss."

"Amnesia?" ask Raiden

Clara nodded her head, "right" he said. Then Clara recounts the first time she discovered Kei.

"I already love him, and I don't want to lose him."

"But what about Layla?" Raiden asked back.

"Do you also think, how does my son feel?" ask Clara.

Both of them remained in their place.

"I don't like lies, I'll tell Layla Kei's condition."

"But?" said Clara. "How's my son?"

Raiden shook his head, he looked at the sad looking Clara, as sad as his heart that was hurting at any moment.

Raiden turned back, and he left Clara's house. He decides to go home and tell Layla.

Arriving home, Raiden meets Layla. He told me all the information he got from Clara.

"Kei, it's been amnesia for over fifteen years, and Clara's been treating it." Raiden ended the story

"I see now, why doesn't Kei recognize me."

"You don't be sad, there's still me." Raiden squatted in front of Layla. His face looked up at Layla who was smiling sweetly.

"No longer Rai, the important thing is that I know that Kei is alive and happy despite his amnesia."

"You're Iklas Layla?" ask Raiden.

Layla nodded her head smiling, though her heart ached. Kei is married to Clara.

Raiden hugged Layla tightly, he kissed Layla on the top of the head many times.

"Promise, you won't cry anymore."

"Yes, bring it up" Layla replied as she pinched Raiden's waist.

"www!" screeched Raiden, taking off his embrace.

Their age is no longer young, maturity soul more established and remain stable even though storms often hit their lives. There is nothing greater than Love, nothing that can defeat the Kala than compassion itself. Giving without wishing to return, giving without return. That is the truth of love and compassion.
