Kei And Layla

Kei And Layla
Chapter 64: Reply

While at Clara's house, commotion often occurs. Each of them forced their will on Kei. So Kei can't do anything. Moreover, their way of using Keila to force Kei not to divorce Clara.

But no matter how much trouble and situation Kei faces, it does not dampen his love for Layla, and steals time to meet Layla or just want to know Layla's news. Kei knows the risk is very risky with a fight. And Kei also understood that what he was doing was wrong, by silently meeting Layla. But Kei also had a reason why he did such a thing. He felt that he married Clara because of memory loss, not because of love.

Everyone thinks, and has good reason. The justification for what they thought was right further brought trouble to the labyrinthine passageway with no way out.

"Where else are you going Kei?" clara asked with a look full of eyes.

"It's none of your business" Kei replied flatly.

"But me-?"

"But I'm your wife, I need to know what you're doing, what about Keila!" cut Kei stared intently at Clara. "That's what you keep telling me!"

"Let's!" clara approached Kei.

"What?!" Kei looked at Clara.

"That's not what I mean, I love you just as much as you love Layla" Clara said. "Where is my fault?'

" Different!" exclaim Kei. "Obviously different." Kei brought his face closer to Clara's face, he stared deeply into Clara's eyeballs.

"Where's the difference, and where's the fault?!"

Kei smiled slanted, then he turned his gaze to the Mirror and looked at Clara in the mirror.

"The love you have is lust, you understand?"

"You should remember Kei, all this time I took care of you during amnesia. What happens when you're on the street when you're amnesiac!"

Kei turned around, and chuckled as he raised his two hands, "OK! thank you for your kindness," Kei lowered both his hands. "I have returned your kindness by not divorcing you, so do not stop me for anything else. Okay?!"

Kei put his foot out of the room. Clara rushed after Kei and pulled Kei's hand back to face Clara.

"Otherwise?" ask Kei.

"Don't go" said Clara. "I want you to accompany me tonight." Clara reached out her right hand and stroked the chest of Kei's field.

"No!" Kei brushes Clara's hand and leaves Clara alone screaming for her.

"Key!!"

Clara tries to catch up with Kei, but her cell phone rings. He looked at his phone screen and turned off the red icon on the phone screen. He returned to his feet after Kei, but Kei had already left the house.

It didn't take long, Kei had already reached Layla's courtyard. He got out of the car door to Layla's open door.

His hand was outstretched about to knock on the door, but he paled when he saw Mbok Darmi was removing Layla's head covering, and replaced it with a new one.

Instantly Kei's heart seemed to be broken, how not? when he saw the person he loved in a state of battling brain cancer alone. Without both parents, and especially himself.

Kei's eyes were glassy, his body felt limp, and he felt his knees tremble. Kei tried to remain stable, but when he heard Layla's moaning that felt a pain in his head when Mbok Darmi put on the headgear, Kei could not hold himself back anymore. Kei ran over and hit Layla and hugged her tightly. Until Mbok Darmi took a step back and abandoned his intention to wear a head covering.

"Layla.." Kei's voice shook.

"Key?" Layla smiled and touched Kei's chest.

"I'm sorry Layla.I'm sorry" Kei did not continue, he could no longer.

Layla smiled, she stretched out her hand rubbing the tears that were dripping down her cheek.

Kei did not answer Layla's words, all he wanted right now was to hug Layla and give her a little strength to defend against the brain cancer that Layla suffered.

Mbok Darmi who watched the two of them, quietly shed tears, then Mbok Darmi stepped his feet towards the kitchen.

"Layla.." said Kei.

"Yes?"

Kei let go of his embrace and squatted down in front of Layla, he extended his hand cupping Layla's face.

"You promised me that you wouldn't leave me" Kei said. "Did you remember?" ask Kei.

"Of course" Layla replied.

"Your sick friend Layla, hold on for me." Kei lowered his hand then hugged Layla tightly.

"Kei, I'm sorry" Layla said softly.

"I'm sorry for what?" Kei let go of his embrace and stared into Layla's two eyeballs.

"I promised never to leave you."

"Then?"

"But to fight brain cancer..." Layla's speechless.

"What?" Kei raised both his eyebrows staring at Layla.

"I'm tired of Kei.I give up"

"Stttt!"

Kei put a finger on Layla's lips, "don't talk like that, I don't want to hear it."

"Sorry.." said Layla.

"I'm wearing the head covering, right?" Kei stood up and set his foot in the kitchen looking for Mbok Darmi to ask for Layla's head covering, after which he returned with a head covering made of soft, creamy fur.

Then Kei put on the head covering for the first time during Layla's illness, with all the feelings Kei had, he put the head covering on lovingly.

"It's getting dark, you better take a break, Layla darling." Kei kissed Layla's forehead for a moment.

"Alright Kei" Layla replied.

"I'll keep you company until you fall asleep." Kei walked to the back of the wheelchair and pushed her into Layla's private room.

Arriving at the room, Kei held Layla and laid her on the bed.

"You sleep in peace, I'll accompany you." Kei kissed Layla on the forehead for a moment, then he wrapped Layla's body in a blanket.

"Good night Kei" Layla smiled.

"Night too, dear." Kei rubbed Layla's cheek gently, then he walked over to the sofa not far from Layla's bed.

Kei sat on the sofa, he leaned back with a gaze towards Layla. He kept staring at Layla until Layla fell asleep.

"Sleep baby, I'll accompany you."
