Chapter 27: The Assault

After all Raiden's work was done, he immediately slid into Layla's house, as today he promised to accompany Layla to Anita and Surya's funeral.

Upon arrival in Layla's courtyard, Raiden opens the car door and exits.

Raiden turned towards Layla's door. Raiden saw Layla already standing in front of the door by crossing into two hands on her chest. She looks beautiful in a long cream dress and Raiden's black veil smiles as Layla begins to walk up to her with a sullen look.

"For a long time" Layla said as she opened the car door and sat in the chair. He looked at Raiden who was staring at him.

"Hey! even dumb, come on!" Layla pulls Raiden's arm.

"Ah yes" said Raiden immediately turned the direction and opened the car door and then entered and sat in the chair and closed the car door again.

Raiden chuckled, looking towards Layla. "You're beautiful?"

Layla immediately cut Raiden's words, her outstretched hand pinched Raiden's waist. "What's?what's?" layla pressed her lips.

"Haha!" Raiden laughed grimacingly, then he started his car. "Layla's pain" he said as he rubbed his waist.

"Come on a spit, don't joke around" Layla replied looking forward.

"Each Princess" said Raiden, glancing momentarily at Layla. Then he drove his car to his mom and dad's.

ten minutes passed, Layla and Raiden finally arrived at the funeral. Raiden and Layla get out of the car. Layla stood up and sighed deeply staring at the cemetery. Raiden who noticed Layla immediately grasped Layla's right hand tightly. He nodded his head and smiled faintly at Layla, strengthening Layla's heart. Layla smiles at Raiden and nods her head as a sign that she is doing well. Then they set foot near Anita and Surya.

Layla squats near the tombstone, followed by Raiden who squats next to Layla. As they looked at each other, Layla nodded her head asking Raiden to lead the idol and praise the Almighty. And pray Anita and Surya quiet in nature there and placed by His side.

Raiden notices Layla, and rubs Layla's back gently. Layla turned her head for a moment towards Raiden.

He cried and turned his face away, and he rested his face on Raiden's arm. Raiden could only rub Layla's back gently, that was all Raiden could do. There was a clash between the two.

Layla who was paying attention to their fight shouted out loud. "Wheel!! heart heart!!" Then he looked around at the cemetery and saw some people were about to make a pilgrimage. Layla intended to ask for help but her steps stopped because the man who had fallen pulled Layla's hand. Layla immediately kicked the man right in his stomach. The man staggered back as well as Layla falling to the ground. But Layla immediately stood up and ran screaming for help.

"Please!! help!!"

Residents who want to go to the cemetery immediately approached the direction of the sound.

The man curled Layla's neck and silenced Layla's mouth. Layla tried to rebel but her efforts were in vain.

Followed by the man who was fighting with Raiden also fled after realizing his actions were known to the residents. "You all right?" ask Layla and Raiden.

"Ah yes Bang, once again thank you" replied Raiden. Then the citizens left Layla and Raiden.

"Layla, are you okay?" said Raiden holding Layla's arm. Layla shook her head quickly. "I'm fine Rei, are you hurt?" tanya Layla touches Raiden's bloody lips.

"Aww" Raiden groaned in pain as his lips touched Layla.

"Ah, sorry" said Layla pulling her hand from Raiden's lips.

"Do you know them? why are they attacking you?" ask Layla again.

Raiden shook his head looking at Layla. "I don't know and I don't know them" replied Raiden holding his own lips.

"Let's go home Layla" Raiden pulls Layla's hand, then opens the car door. They finally decided to go home.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at Layla's house. Layla came straight out the car door, on Raiden's tail. They went straight into the house.

Layla yells at Mbok Darmi while helping Raiden sit in the living room seat.

Mbok Darmi walked hurriedly from the kitchen towards Layla. "What's the Non? Den Rai why?" mbok Darmi looked into Raiden's face.

"So someone attacked us at Mbok's funeral, Mbok I asked you to please bring warm water and cloth Mbok" Layla said staring at Mbok Darmi. Mbok Darmi nodded his head and turned his head to walk towards the kitchen.

"Yes, yes" Layla said, then returned to treat Raiden's wounds.
