Chapter 60: Final decision

Meanwhile at Clara's house, the commotion still continued. At present Kei's patience is at the threshold of every human weakness. "We're divorced." Kei looked at Clara for a moment, then he put his clothes back in the suitcase.

"Divorce?" ask Clara. "what's my fault?"

"Then why would you divorce me." Clara pulls Kei's arm.

"I'm disappointed in you" Kei replied gruntingly.

"No, I don't want a divorce" Clara refused.

Kei doesn't care about Clara's answer anymore, like it or not Kei will stick to his decision.

"Whatever, I don't need your approval." Kei lowered the suitcase from the top of the bed, and stepped his foot.

"Let's! I don't want a divorce! what about Keila!" clara followed Kei from behind.

"It's none of my business, I'm already disappointed" Kei replied as he continued walking down the stairs.

"You divorced me, because you wanted to be close to the dying woman, didn't you, Kei?"

Kei stopped his steps, then looked back at Clara.

"So your mouth, you don't know what."

"I don't want a divorce!" scream Clara. Heard by Alya.

"What did you say?" alya. "You divorced your wife because of that crazy woman?"

"It's not Layla who's crazy, but it's Mom who's gone crazy for treasure!" exclaim Kei. "Until I don't have a conscience anymore!" Pekik Kei yelled at Alya so upset. Not that he hated Alya, but Kei did not like Alya's attitude and speech.

"How dare you snatch your own mother!" exclaim Alya.

"Enough Mom!" exclaim Kei. "I don't want to argue with Mom anymore, I'm tired!"

"You.dare to be the same mother" said Alya feeling hurt.

"Now I want to go and never stop me again" Kei said. "And you're Clara, I'll take care of the divorce papers myself and you can sign them."

Kei stepped foot into the courtyard of the house and got into the car.

"Y!!" clara's screams chase Kei into the courtyard of the house. But the car that Kei drove away from Clara's house.

"I don't want a divorce" said Clara Lirih.

"Son, don't cry. Let Kei's dad take him home." Alya rubbed Clara's back soothingly.

Clara hugged Alya, "Mother, I don't want a divorce."

"Please son, Kei will be back. Mom and Dad would never let that happen."

Clara nodded her head, then she let go of her embrace sobbing.

"We go inside." Alya grabbed Clara's shoulders and entered the house.

While Kei continues to run his car to the hospital, Layla is usually treated.

"I'm tired, I'd rather live alone than like this continue" Kei murmured softly.

Crossed Layla's face and all the good old times memories. Kei smiled bitterly, a tearful feather fell onto his cheek. Kei wiped his own tears.

"Layla, you kept your promise. But I can't keep my word to you Layla" he said slowly. His heart was broken as he recalled the bitter times he had to go through with other women and always get in opposition.

"But on my appeal, Layla suffered more. She is indeed an amazing girl, it is not wrong that I maintain my love for her" Kei murmured again.

Until it was not felt, he had arrived at the hospital yard. Kei got out of the car and went straight inside. When he arrived at the hospital. Kei immediately asked where Layla's room was being treated to one of the Sisters.

After getting information on where Layla was being treated, Kei headed straight for the operating room. From far away Kei saw another Raiden still faithfully waiting in front of the operating room door.

"Are there any developments about Layla?" kei asked his best friend Valeri.

Valeri looked at Kei, shaking his head.

"Not yet Kei" Valeri replied.

Kei sighed deeply, "How many hours?" tanyakanya.

"Two hours, Layla had to undergo surgery" Stela said.

"Operation?" Kei frowned staring at Stela.

"Right," said Stela.

"It's all because of you." Raiden stood over to Kei.

"Why do you always blame me?" ask Kei. "Can't you be a grown-up?" Kei snorted in annoyance.

"Enough!" exclaim Asha.

Asha stands between Kei and Raiden. Asha looked at Kei then turned to look at Raiden.

"You are like children, you can only fuss and fuss constantly."

"But-?"

"Tie!" exclaim Asha.

Raiden silently did not continue, he looked at Asha who looked annoyed.

"You should be mature, don't just think about your own egos." Asha pushed Raiden's body slightly away from Kei.

"Layla doesn't have much time to see you're more mature, you should try to see how Layla stays." Asha stared hard at Raiden.

"Yes right, Layla loves you all, make her happy for the rest of her life. Not just showing your stupidity in front of Layla" Stela said.

Raiden and Kei fell silent, what his best friend said was indeed true.

Kei and the others immediately turned their heads towards the open door. Doctor Kenzi and Doctor Adrian are seen coming out of the operating room. They walked over to the two doctors.

"How's Doc?" ask Raiden and Kei at the same time.

Doctor Kenzi looked at them all, then glanced at Doctor Adrian for a moment.

"The operation went well but, uh" Dr. Kenzi said. "Layla we're going into a coma to speed up her recovery."

"How long will Layla be in Doc's coma?" Kei's voice sounded vibrating.

"We see the development, if Layla's body responds well to the drugs given, Layla will wake up faster."

"Will Layla wake up?" Kei looked at Doctor Kenzi.

"I don't know Kei." Dr. Kenzi knew that he could not give Layla's family any hope. They need to be prepared for the worst. It could be today or tomorrow Layla drop.

"Then we'll excuse us." Dr. Kenzi and Dr. Adrian nodded his head for a moment. Then they went back into the room.

Kei let out a long sigh, he leaned against the wall. Raiden was sitting limp in the chair.

"Kei..we go home first, let us know if anything is wrong." Eventually Asha and the others decided to go home first, because they had a family.

"Yes.thank you" Kei replied softly.

Four days passed since Layla came out of the operating room, she was placed in an intensive room with twenty-four hours of access to anticipate if something happened to Layla. To this day Layla has not been aware of her coma.

Every day Kei and Raiden are by Layla's side, Kei and Raiden choose to follow her best friend's words, though there is still a sense of resentment between the two. But Kei and Raiden chose to be quiet.

Kei grabbed the chair and sat on the chair, he reached out his hand grasping Layla's hand and rubbed it gently.

"Layla.wake up" Kei whispered in Layla's ear, as if Layla would hear his words.

today Raiden is not in the hospital. Raiden has to finish his pending job and needs his direct supervision. Kei is the one who takes care of Layla.

"If you still have plenty of time, get up and marry me Layla." Kei's eyes are glassy.

On the fifth day Layla was in a coma, there were not many significant changes. The doctor and the nurse go in and check Layla's blood pressure and take Layla to the MRI and CT-scan room to check Layla's physical condition.

"Bamgunlah dear, I want to see your smile again. I want to hear your verse again, wake up Layla." Kei lowered his head kissing Layla's fingers.

"Den" said Mbok Darmi from behind.

Kei looked back at Mbok Darmi.

"Yes Mbok?" answer Kei.

"Did Den Kei need anything?" ask Mbok Darmi.

Kei shook his head, then he turned to look at Layla's face again.

"No Mbok," said Kei.

"In that case, Mbok went home first. Later in the afternoon here again bring Den Kei food."

Kei nodded his head without looking at Mbok Darmi.

"Yes Mbok."

Then Mbok Darmi stepped out of the room. Kei stayed inside waiting for Layla alone.
