Chapter 21: The Mourning

On the way to Surya's house, in the car arrived Anita felt tightness in the chest.

"Sir, Mom's chest hurts so much." Anita bowed her body and her hands squeezed her left chest which hurt. His breathing was stingy as if he had run away. He has trouble breathing.

"Mom, why's Mom?" tanya Surya touched both of Anita's shoulders. Sweat on Anita's face makes Surya panic.

"Auntie why Om?" Raiden asked for a moment.

"Your sick mother relapsed again, son." Surya replied worriedly.

"We're taking Aunty to Om's Hospital." Without a second thought Raiden took Anita to a nearby hospital not far from the intersection of her home.

Arriving at the hospital yard Raiden immediately pulled over his car and helped Surya bring Anita into the hospital.

Arriving inside Anita directly brought to the ER room for examination.

"Mom, hold on Mom." Surya said holding Anita's unconscious hand.

"Sorry, you can't come in. Please wait outside." The nurse immediately closed the door to the ER room.

Surya and Raiden sit in the ER outdoor chair. Raiden and Surya waited very anxiously.

"Propay Om." Raiden's words touched Surya's back. Surya glanced for a moment at Raiden then turned towards the ER room door.

"Mom, strong Ma'am" Surya said with a vibrating tone.

"What was Aunt like this before?" asked Raiden looked at Surya who stood up and walked back and forth in front of the door of the room.

Surya shook his head. "No, I've been fine all along, it's just that I've been complaining of chest pain ever since Layla left the house."

Raiden nodded his head nodding to understand what had befallen Anita. Raiden stood up and walked up to Surya who looked very worried about Anita, her face pale and kept the wound behind the frown on her face.

"Mom must be okay, Om."

One second, two minutes, an hour passed. There was the sound of the door opening from inside. Surya and Raiden stared at the door of the room that was starting to open anxiously. The doctor who handled Anita came out from the door staring at Surya and Raiden alternately.

"Who are you, Bu Anita's husband?"

"I'm Doc." Surya approached the doctor closer.

"Solar Pak?" Ask Doctor.

Surya nodded his head. "What's wrong with my wife Doc?"

For a moment the Doctor fell silent not directly answering Surya's question. Makes Surya feel more afraid.

"OK, what's wrong with my wife? answer Doc!"

Surya shook the arm The doctor was already impatiently wanting to listen to the Doctet's reply.

"Sorry sir, we've tried our best, Ms. Anita's dead."

Surya shook his head by looking at the Doctor's face, his tears came down hunting each other and directly entered the room by walking slowly. His knees seemed to tremble his body shook violently approaching Anita's dead body that was no longer alive. And Raiden followed Surya into the room.

"Bb,u" he said.

Surya immediately hugged Anita's body while shaking Anita's body shake very tight, hoping Anita woke up again and spoke to her like Anita used to do.

"Mom, why did you leave me alone.why ma'am..!" Her speech was hysterical with tears falling on Anita's face.

"Mom, wake up Mom! Wake up!!"

Surya sobbed hysterically, his legs unable to bear the weight of the wounds in his heart. Eventually, Surya collapsed. Raiden who noticed and realized Surya fell unconscious immediately ran over and caught Surya's body so as not to fall to the floor.

"Om, Om." Raiden patted Surya's cheek softly, to get up. " Doctor! Sister" Raiden shouted to the Doctor and Sister who were outside the room. The Doctor and Sister go straight inside and help Raiden lift Surya's body onto the bed next to Anita's. The doctor immediately conducted a thorough examination at the installation of an electrocardiagram device so that he could know his heart rate. Doctors continued to make efforts to make Surya aware. But over time Surya's heart rate is getting weaker and does not show Surya will be aware.

Just now Raiden finished calling, from the door the doctor asked. " Are you his family?"

Raiden turned to look at the Doctor then got up from his seat and approached the Doctor.

"I'm not her family Doc, but soon her daughter will come." Raiden replied glancing into the room for a moment, he saw a tool that was mounted on Surya's body released by the Sister.

"How about Mr Surya Dok?" Raiden looked at the Doctor's face.

"Sorry, I've done everything I could, Mr. Surya is dead." The doctor lowered his head.

"What?!" Raiden covered his mouth with one hand and one hand he put on his waist. "Yes Rabb, this is impossible, impossible." Raiden muttered in the chair cupping his face.

"May the family be given fortitude." The doctor touched Raiden's shoulder for a moment. Then go back into the room.

Thirty minutes passed, from the direction of the sick rimah. Layla was running very fast towards Raiden, who was waiting for her.

Layla regulated her breathing by swallowing her difficult saliva. " What happened to my mom and dad?" layla asked with a gasp, her right hand clutching Raiden's.

A moment Raiden lowered his head, "Layal, Om and Aunt are gone." Raiden answered, bowing his head again.

"Deg!"

Layla's heart stopped beating. His chest hurt like it was hit by a sledgehammer. Layla momentarily glued by staring at Raiden's face expressionlessly. The next second Layla immediately ran into the room. Layla was stunned to see the bodies of Father and Mother had been covered in white cloth. The Doctor and Sister fell silent and retreated backwards giving Layla some space.

Layla was stunned for quite a long time, with tears falling down each other hunting down her cheeks. Still warm in his memory last night joking along with his parents.

"Dad, Mother." Mumbled wailing.

Layla walked slowly and approached her mother's body and slowly opened the white cloth that covered her mother's face. Layla looked at her mother's face which looked pale and lifeless again. " Mommy! wake up Mom, don't leave Layla! Layla promises to follow what you want, as long as you wake up!

Layla shakes Anita's body hoping her mother wakes up and scolds her like she used to.

"Mother, forgive Layla, forgive Layla Ma'am."

Layla hugged her mother for a long time while crying. "I'm sorry Layla Ma'am, I'm sorry Layla." She was in Anita's ear.

"Layla, calm your heart." Raiden touched Layla's shoulder. Layla turned to look at Raiden for a moment, then hugged her mother for a moment and kissed Anita's forehead one last time. Layla then got up and stepped on her feet to her father's body and opened the white cloth on her face.

"Dad."

Layla hugged Surya's body and whispered in Surya's ear. " I'm sorry Layla Dad, I'm sorry Layla." Lirih said, after that Layla kissed Surya's forehead deeply for the last time. After that Layla again covered Surya's face with a white cloth earlier.

"Ray."

Layla looks back at Raiden's face and hits Raiden's body and embraces him, drowning his face in the chest of Raiden's field crying a mouthful. Raiden replies to Layla's embrace and rubs Layla's back gently to calm down.

Then the doctor asked Layla to take care of all the administration and signed a letter. After that Raiden and Layla accompanied the ambulance car carrying the bodies of Anita and Surya. Upon arriving at Layla's house, the news of Layla's parents' death was heard from neighbors and relatives came to take care of the bodies and the funeral.

Without exception Abdul and Alya also came to serve, even though they had once been in a row with the Surya family. Abdul and Alya see Layla sitting next to Raiden who continues to provide calm. Alya and Abdul approach Layla and offer their condolences. "Layla, advertise your parents' departure to be calm at His side" Alya said, touching Layla's shoulder.

"Thank you Auntie." Layla said softly.

After all was done in the care, the bodies of Anita and Surya were taken to the cemetery. No one thought that Anita and Surya would die so quickly because they both the day before still look healthy and active.

Arriving at the funeral the corpse began to be buried, saw Layla who continued to cry in the arms of Raiden. He still could not forget the time when last night together laughed and joked. Layla also remembered the time when she had made her Mother and Father feel disappointed in her. Layla is growing more teary-eyed despite Raiden and his relatives trying to calm her down.

After the funeral was over, Layla was still sitting in front of her parents' gravestones. " I'm sorry Layla, I'm sorry Layla." Lirih said as her hands hugged the tombstone.

"Layla, you have to be heartened to take them off" said Raiden rubbing Layla's back gently.

"We go home Layla," Raiden looked up at the cloudy sky.

"Layla, let's go home before it rains." Raiden lifts Layla's body and embraces her. Then Raiden set foot with Layla to the side of the trail. Layla looked back at the navel of her parents. Soon after the rain fell soaking Anita and Surya.
