Melani and Jendra arrive at a simple house but have a fairly large yard. A man opened the gate so that their car could enter the spacious yard.
Melani was amazed by the house dominated by wood material. And around the house looks beautiful because of the many plants that are well maintained.
"Let's get down, Mel."
Jendra carried her small backpack and helped carry Melani's suitcase. The man did not bring even a pair of change clothes, because his clothes are fully available in this house.
Melani sees Jendra taking the keys to the house in a pot of plants that are hung on the porch of the house.
"Mom and Dad never brought the keys to this house. This place is the safest storage for them" said Jendra accompanied by laughter when he saw Melani astonished.
Jendra opened the door and let him in. "You I'll take you straight to the room, Mel."
Jendra stopped in front of a door that was still closed. "This is your room." Jendra opened the door and looked like a bed with white sprey patterned on leaves.
"There's no bathroom in this room, Mel. You can use the bathroom next door." Jendra pointed at the bathroom that was parallel to the kitchen.
"Only in the room of the mother and the father who has the bathroom."
"This is my room!" Appoint Jendra to the room next to Melani's.
"If you need anything, please just say it."
Jendra went into his room. He picked up a change of clothes and put a towel on his shoulder.
He immediately took a shower because Melani would definitely use the bathroom as well.
Sure enough, when he just came out of the bathroom, it looked Melani who was sitting waiting for him near the kitchen, precisely at the dining table with a change of clothes that the girl would wear later.
"Why not bang on the door, Mel?" ask Jendra.
Melani gasps and stares at the fresh-looking Jendra with her wet hair.
"I haven't waited long, sir!"
Melani immediately went inside the bathroom because she felt awkward seeing Jendra.
I don't know, he was not used to seeing Jendra in his home clothes even though he had met Jendra several times without wearing formal clothes.
Melani flushed her head and bathed in an erratic feeling. He was surprised, all this time he thought Jendra's parents lived in a luxurious house with facilities that were no less luxurious as well. But in fact, this house with a large yard actually looks simple. Just a wooden house with many large windows made of glass.
There are no housekeepers living in this house. That also makes Melani more surprised. Melani does not know much about the life of Jendra's parents.
After taking a bath, he combed her hair and put a thin powder on her face. Melani lay down for a while, then came out of the room when she heard someone cooking in the kitchen.
He saw a strapping and stocky back with a plain white t-shirt wrapped in front of the stove.
"What are you doing, sir?"
Melani's voice shocked Jendra. He looked back and smiled a little.
"I'm cooking, Mel!"
Jendra resumed his activities. Melani walked towards the place where Jendra was standing. The girl who was wearing knee-length jeans in a t-shirt saw what Jendra was cooking.
"Fried chicken?" asked Melani when she saw Jendra was turning back a chicken covered with flour that was quite thick.
"Yes, fried chicken flour," replied Jendra who asked Melani to shift a little because the man was going to make his sauce.
Jendra peeled the onion and placed it in a bowl with the chili and tomatoes that had been prepared first.
Also seen pieces of cucumber fruit in a small bowl.
"You want to eat this or I'll order you some food, Mel?" tanyakanya.
Melani helps fry the chicken that has begun to ripen.
"I'll eat this, sir. It's okay, right?"
Jendra nodded. "I also cooked rice."
"Hopefully it'll ripen soon and we can eat right away."
"There really isn't a housekeeper, sir?" Melani leaned against the pantry while waiting for the fried chicken to ripen.
"Rush cook, mama did it herself."
"That's a vegetable garden, sir?" melani asked as she looked at the few rows of greenery in the backyard.
"Yes, there are several types of vegetables, there are also tomato trees, chili, some other rhizome plants."
Melani shook her head weakly and laughed softly. "Your parents really enjoy old age in a simple way, sir. But, very impressive for me."
"That's it, Mel. It's all their choice. Until my company controls itself."
"Papa wants his old days spent with mama."
Melani nodded. "It's obvious that your parents love each other."
Melani smiled slightly looking at Jendra. "You're very lucky."
Jendra saw a look of sadness on Melani's face. He felt sorry for the girl growing up without parents.
"You're right, Mel. I'm very lucky."
Melani drain fried chicken over tissue so as not to be too oily. He also fries the ingredients that will be used as sambal.
Melani took over, she glued the chili with cobek made of stone deftly.
"Why don't you get married soon, Mel?"
The question made Melani look at Jendra who was leaning on the pantry and was also looking at her.
Melani laughs. "Why do you suddenly ask that?" Melani back smoothing sambal.
"Because I see, you can cook."
Melani laughs. "Can cooking not be one reason for a woman to deserve marriage, sir."
Jendra laughed. "Ah, yes. But, normally a woman will learn to cook, if she's planning on getting married in the near future, Mel."
Either got information from where so Jendra could draw such a conclusion.
Melani laughed again. "Maybe that goes for your boyfriends. They are socialites, who when they want to eat something only need to order or maybe ask to be made by their household assistant."
"So, when they were getting married, they just learned to cook."
"If people like me, it can't be like that, sir. If you want to eat, cook it yourself. If you don't want to bother, buy."
"But you're fit to be a wife."
Melani looked at Jendra who seemed to feel like she had mispronounced.
Melani shrugged her shoulders. "I haven't found a man who wants to make me a wife."
"But you've found a mother who wants to make you her son-in-law, Mel."
Melani became misbehaved because she was sure, the mother Jendra meant was Jenar.
"Is the rice ripe, sir?" tanya Melani switched the conversation.
Jendra immediately saw the ricecooker. "Easy Spit. We're eating now?" tanyakanya.
Melani nodded.
Jendra picked up the plate in the drawer and immediately filled it with the still hot rice.
"You're not on a diet, are you, Mel?"
Melani. "I eat a lot of fat, why am I dieting, sir?"
Jendra laughs. "Sometimes there is a type of person who drinks water alone can turn into fat, once it enters his body."
Melani laughs. "Who said that, sir?"
"Miss."
Melani laughs. The woman with two children did have a fairly contained body. But what he said was also not true.
