Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir

Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir
Chapter 7 Heritage

Midnight...

Kalandra woke up feeling sultry. He who used to sleep without a shirt was forced to start getting used to sleeping with a t-shirt. Things he started to get used to a few days ago before getting married. Because he knew, he would sleep in the room with Kayla.

"Why is it so hot?" He muttered while tugging at the front of his shirt.

He looked at Ac. "Why is the temperature raised?"

Kalandra looks for the Ac remote on the nightstand and lowers back the temperature and goes back to sleep.

Meanwhile, Kayla began to shiver. He has raised the Ac temperature so that this room is not too cold. But now the air is cold again.

Kayla rubbed her eyes and saw the temperature of Ac return to its original state.

"Did he think of me like beef in a supermarket? Why didn't he just sleep in the fridge!" Kayla was upset because she was so cold. In his house there is no AC so he is not used to sleeping with this cold temperature.

He staggered slightly forward and back to pick up the Ac remote. It raises the temperature again and puts the original remote on the nightstand.

Gltak up! The clash of remote and nightstand makes Kalandra wake up. He sees Kayla walking like a zombie and goes back to sleep on the floor.

"Oh, it turns out he did it." Kalandra Gumam slowly.

Kalandra noticed Kayla sleeping on her back. The girl curled up behind a thick blanket of gray.

Kalandra sighed. "In his house he probably slept comfortably."

"But, because of this plan he had to sleep on the floor and get cold."

Kalandra looked at her spacious bed and there was still empty space just to accommodate Kayla's small body.

"What do I think I am?" Kalandra brushed off the bad idea in her brain. There was no way she would let Kayla sleep in her bed.

After all he was a normal man and he did not want to break the agreement between them. Kalandra lay back and fell asleep.

Morning time...

"Where are you going?" kalandra asked when she saw Kayla wearing a work suit while she was still curled up under the covers.

"I have to work."

The man was surprised. "Work?"

"Did that fucking Jendra not give you time off?"

"I don't want to, sir."

Kalandra took her phone and put it in her ear.

"Give Kayla a week off!"

Kayla immediately turned around and looked at Kalandra who was talking through her mobile phone.

"Sir!" prevent Kayla.

"It has. I've asked Jendra for permission." He put his phone back.

Kayla sighed. Even her boss didn't seem to have answered Kalandra's request, but the man had already ended his call.

"In that case, I'll go home for a bit."

"You what?"

"I have to find people to work cleaning my house a few days a week because I have to stay here."

Kalandra nodded. "Go! I have to go to the office, too." Kalandra went into the bathroom.

Kayla was stunned when she heard that sentence.

"He told me to take a day off, but he went to the office himself?" kayla grumbled in a soft voice.

The two went downstairs, for breakfast.

"The new bride is awake?" Welcome Riana as Kalandra and Kayla descend from the second floor in a work suit.

"Where are you going?" Riana continued because the two did not respond to her.

"Work!" Answer both compact.

Riana laughed cynically. "Where were the newlyweds married yesterday and straight to work!"

"There's." Answer Kalandra.

"No one, Andra!"

Gia looked at the two who looked stiff. Not like a newlywed couple who love each other. Gia began to feel suspicious.

"Ehm.. sister-in-law, how was your first night?"

"Uhukkis..." Kayla choked as she sipped a glass of water. He immediately looked at Gia who was smiling cynically.

"Slow down, baby!"

The deg!

This time he looked at Kalandra who had been thrusting tissue at him.

"Here, let me clean it!" Kalandra was about to wipe Kayla's lips but the girl refused.

Kayla smiled fakely. "Just me..."

Well, what should I call him?

"Just me, Mom!" Kayla takes tissue in Kalandra's hand.

"Gia, don't tease this new pair of brides." Riana glanced happily at Gia.

"It looks like they haven't.. Yeah.just look, the way it goes is still fine!" Riana and Gia laughed together.

Kayla rubbed her lips gently. He put his tissue on the table and folded his hands there.

"Why are you so dirty? Discussing such a sensitive matter at the dinner table."

"Mas, can we go now?" Take Kayla.

"I'm losing my appetite." He pretended to be afraid to sound Riana.

Kayla stood up and left the dining table. Kalandra also stood up and walked behind Kayla.

"Poor to belagu!" Riana Mumbled.

Kayla could still hear it, but she was not willing to reply to the insinuation.

"It turns out I was paid to face my mother-in-law and brother-in-law with my mouth unfiltered." Kayla muttered very slowly.

Kalandra laughed cynically. "Just ignore it if you don't want to get tired!"

"Good morning, Mum!" Kalandra stopped when her papa lawyer arrived home.

Kalandra and Kayla entered the house again because the lawyer wanted to talk about the will of the deceased Mr. Bagas.

Kayla was actually curious as to who the middle-aged man who was visiting this early in the morning was. But, he tried not to interfere because he was not told by Kalandra about this matter.

They gathered in the living room. Gia and Reiga sat next to each other. Kalandra and Kayla too. While Riana and the Lawyer sat facing each other.

"Why did you come so early in the morning, sir?" Ask Riana.

"And Andra just got married yesterday."

"I have to go to Bali in the afternoon. And I'll be there for a week."

The man issued a will written by the late Bagas.

"Since Mas Kalandra is married and the conditions for reading the father's will have been fulfilled, then I will read the will this morning."

The deg!

Kayla's heart stopped beating. Apparently because this is also what makes Kalandra have to get married? He used me for a lot of things. But whatever, it's important this time I don't want to interfere.

The lawyer read out the contents of Bagas' will very carefully. As long as the lawyer read out the will, Riana felt her heart would be dislodged. Not because the treasures he received were many, but because he did not get what he expected.

The house they lived in became the rights of Kalandra as the first child. If Riana wanted to stay in that house, she would have to follow the rules that Kalandra made as the new head of the family.

Riana and Reyga each get a two-story minimalist house unit in one of the housing complexes.

Kalandra gets 50 percent shares of the total 80 percent shares Bagas owns in the company. Riana gets 10 percent while Reyga gets 20 percent.

"Are you not mistaken when you read the will?" Ask Riana.

"Why is the division uneven like this?"

"I'm just saying what you wrote, Mom!"

Riana looked at Bagas' handwriting. He glanced at Kalandra who said nothing.

While Kayla also seemed calm because no matter how big of a legacy Kalandra had, there was not the least right there. She's just a contracted wife.
