"Melani's company goes home, Jend," Jenar's orders don't care about her husband's words worrying about his health.
"I can go home by myself, Mom." Melani does not want any debate because she has agreed to go home alone without Jendra.
"Mama heard it for yourself, right? Melani can go home by herself. This isn't the first time she's come to this town, Ma."
"Mayo!" said Surendra growled with a hardened jaw.
"No, Mel. He brought you here, then he must take responsibility."
Melani just wanted to talk, but Mr. Surendra already spoke first.
"My wife was right, Mel," Surendra said. "Since long ago, he couldn't be mature. Dating, stay. Dating, stay."
"You want how many girls you hurt, Jend?" Surendra made Jendra look at his parents alternately.
"But, Melani's not my boyfriend, Pa. He even rejected me!"
Though what Surendra said had nothing to do with him allowing Melani who would go home alone.
Surendra and Jenar immediately looked at his son.
Melani heart pounding violently while holding in anger. The man could have been honest.
"When?" ask Jenar who doesn't believe what her son is saying.
"Last night. Just ask her!" Jendra pointed at Melani with his chin.
Holy hooch! What does this lion gil* actually want? Why even corner me in such a difficult situation.
Jendra smiled thinly. Who told me to reject me. Said I was thinking a lot, anyway. Look what I can do!
"Basic liar!" Jendra was shocked when his father accused him of lying.
"I'm not lying, Pa. Ask her." Jendra pointed at Melani with an open palm.
"I asked him to be my lover, but he didn't answer at all" she said.
Jendra did not care at all about Melani's face that began to blush. Not because of blushing but because of holding back anger.
"Mel" Jenar looked at Melani. "What did Jendra say?"
Melani looked towards the pair of old men in turn. Both of them were staring at him, waiting for him to answer the question.
Melani glances at Jendra at a glance. The man blinked one eye and grinned.
Bastard* motherfucker! He did this intentionally? melani's wrath in her heart.
"Mails,"
Melani nodded. Just wait for my revenge.
"Yes, Mom. Mr. Jendra did invite me to start a special relationship."
Melani sighed. "But I'm not against it."
Both of them immediately looked at Jendra who was stretching his hands on the back of the sofa while watching Melani nervous.
"But, I just asked Mr. Jendra to think again, Mom."
The two looked back at Melani.
"I think Mr. Jendra has too much in mind."
"He heard our conversation yesterday, ma'am."
"And with reason, if your choice is not wrong, then he took the initiative to build a relationship with me." Melani laughed lightly.
"My life, it's been 30 years, ma'am."
"Mom can sing when a man invites dating without involving feelings."
"Then, what if I get married?"
"Then, what if that trial-and-error marriage fails? I was pregnant or had children, and divorced."
Melani. "Too bitter for a poor woman like me, Mom."
"I've been saying, all this time you were the only girl around me, Mel." Jendra repeated his words last night.
"Remember, Sir. We're close because of work, not feelings!" Melani stared intently at Jendra.
"But, Mel. I'm not kidding."
"I'm used to being around you near me. Hence, I asked to start a serious relationship."
"I don't want to!"
The atmosphere changed instantly. What initially sounded fierce debate, now feels lonely.
"Mel, I won't force you to accept Jendra." Jenar. As a parent, he should be able to mediate between Jendra and Melani.
"You understand very well how he's been behaving all this time."
"Tante realized, maybe that's why you can't see Jendra as a man."
"You really just think of him as your boss."
I also consider him a lion gil*
"It's over!" Surendra stood up from his chair. "You guys out!" The man pointed towards the door.
"Mom should take a break, Jend!"
"Mel, sorry. But this is for my wife's health."
"I'll excuse you, ma'am. Hope you recover soon and can return home soon."
Melani came out of the room.
"Follow him!" muttered Surendra while coding Jendra.
Lazily, Jendra stepped out of the room. "I'm not going back to the hospital. I'm going home this afternoon" Jendra said before closing the door.
Jendra changed his mind. The paper is correct, it is indeed a peng*cut. And when will it continue to be so.
Jendra runs and balances steps with Melani after being next to the girl.
"We need to talk, Mel."
"Indeed. We should talk."
"Where?" ask Jendra.
"At home!"
***
"Marry me, Mel." Jendra held Melani's hand.
Melani hastily let go of Jendra's hand. He pulled his hand and hid it under the table.
The two had arrived home, and they were sitting face to face at the dinner table after Jendra gave him some water to drink.
"I can't, Sir!"
"I don't want to start a relationship just because of trial and error."
"Teach me to love you, Mel."
"Love grows on its own, sir. Not in a learned way!" melani answers who never fell in love with any man.
All this time he was just interested and admiring. Just like it, but do not want to make a commitment to be together.
"How do I convince you, Mel?"
"Dating doesn't want to, getting married doesn't want to, then how do you make sure I'm serious."
"Boyo loves me?" ask Melani.
"Not yet, but will." Jendra's answer made Melani smile.
Melani stands. "Convince yourself first, and convince me afterwards!"
***
"I'll take you to the apartment, Mel!" jendra said still in an annoyed tone when Melani insisted on taking a taxi.
"But, Sir."
"This time don't argue!"
"When have I ever denied his orders?" muttered Melani annoyed.
Almost an hour later, they finally arrived at the Melani apartment building.
"I'll just get off here, sir!" Melani asks the driver to stop the car on the side of the road.
"I'm taking it inside."
"No need, I dare" said Melani who rejected Jendra's offer.
Melani was about to open the car door, but she paused because she saw two men who were neighbors walking a little stagger towards their car.
Lothawat! There are them!"
Melani needs to be vigilant. The neighbors are a little strange and suspicious. Several times came home drunk and several times also knocked on the door of his apartment on the grounds of the wrong room.
Yes, both of them did live with one more man who was the younger brother of one of them.
"Why hasn't it come down yet?" ask Jendra who noticed the change in Melani's facial expression. The girl seemed doubtful.
"Want me to deliver?"
Melani. He immediately got down and walked while pulling his suitcase.
"Hi mbak Melaniiii!"
"Oh, my God!" murmured Melani rolled her eyeballs as the two men instead greeted her.
"Go away, before I hit you in the head with heels!" threatening Melani didn't scare the two.
The two men laughed and blocked his path. "It's a jutek, anyway? Where from, mbak? Vacation huh? With who? Om-om old?" one of the men asked without pause by extending the neck to see the car that Melani was riding earlier.
The smell of alcohol made Melani hold her breath. Both were not drunk. Seen from the talk of those who do not digress.
"It's none of your business! Move over!" pinta Melani is firm.
"don't want. Answer me, dong!"
"I told you, it's none of your business!" Melani's patience is running out.
"Absolute, we don't like om-om. Take it easy, we won't take it!" They laughed wide.
"I'm her future husband. What do you want?"
Melani looked back. Jendra was folding his hands to his chest.
