Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir

Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir
Chapter 96 S2 Home

Jendra just stirred up a glass of juice in front of him with a straw. The man seemed to be propping up his chin and watching the juice swirling along with the movement of the straw in his hand.

The debate at the hospital was the trigger for a change in Jendra's attitude. He wanted to bring his parents back to live with him, but the couple compactly refused.

Seeing his mother who was not ready to discuss it made him more worried about the condition of the woman who had given birth to him.

"Mama's head even hurt just because we discussed the issue of where they live, Mel," Jendra told a secretary who always accompanied him.

"What's wrong if I ask them to stay with me? At least close to where I live."

"They didn't think about how troublesome I was to come so often that I was so busy."

They had lunch at a restaurant not far from the hospital. Surendra asks Melani to invite Jendra to come out for a while so that Jenar can rest for a moment.

Melani smiled thinly. His hands were folded on the table and he kept staring at the man in front of him.

"Bu Jenar didn't ask you to come, sir!"

"But, Mr. Surendra asked, right?"

Jendra stared lazily at Melani. "Just the same, Mel."

"I just want you to understand that I don't want to be away from them when their health condition is declining due to age."

Okay, I-I'm you again?

"I know, I mean father."

"You may not feel like you're really in love and you're not a parent yet."

"Trust me, Ms. Jenar actually doesn't want to trouble you."

"And Mr. Surendra ...."

"You should understand how scared he was to lose Jenar's mother, the woman he loved the most."

"It's only natural that Mr. Surendra asks you to come. Although it was a little late, at least he knew that someone else would strengthen him."

"Sir Surendra needs you, sir. Whether it was just as a friend to discuss further actions for Bu Jenar's treatment, or maybe even to encourage Bu Jenar to get well soon."

"Don't blame or get angry at either of them. They're innocent."

"So, what should I do, Mel?"

"Let the Jenar ma'am heal first. Then after that, you can talk to the three of you with a calm heart and a cool head."

Jendra nodded slowly. "Thank you, Mel. It's always been next to me."

Melani nodded. His body felt frozen as Jendra's hand rubbed his hand.

"All this time, you're the only one I can count on."

Melani felt her heart beating fast. He could not resist the touch of Jendra's hand that made his body as if flowed by electric current.

"And you can always bother," continued Melani and laughed so as not to feel awkward.

Jendra laughed too.

In the afternoon, Melani sits next to Jenar. He painstakingly feeds the food in his hand.

"One more bribe, Mom!" Persuade Melani as Jenar shook her head slowly, refusing her last bribe.

Melani sighed and placed the plate on the table.

"Mom should eat a lot" said Melani while giving a glass of water to Jenar.

"Mom should get well soon. I saw, Mr. Jendra's face looked panicked as we headed for the airport earlier."

"Sir Jendra also looked dreamy, but checked his phone often."

"I'm not really why Mel. I didn't want Jendra to come just because I fainted."

Melani smiles. "If I were in Mr. Jendra's position, I would do the same, ma'am."

"If I could borrow a door anywhere that belonged to a doraemon, I would borrow it."

Melani and Jenar laughed together.

"If I knew you were sick, I would have asked Mr. Jendra to see you soon."

Jenar rubbed Melani's arm. "Take me as your mother, Mel. I know it's because I don't have any parents anymore either."

Melani nodded and wiped her tears. "Ah, I have to take medicine."

Melani gave the medicine that had been given by the nurse. It also helps to give a glass of water.

"Mother rest, yes. I'll keep mom here."

Jenar smiled and nodded as Melani tidied up the blanket that covered half her body.

"Mil ...."

"Yes, Mom."

"Can't Jendra make you fall in love with her?"

Melani gasped at the question. Jendra made her fall in love? Is possible?

During this time, Jendra only made him bother, overtime continued and occasionally felt annoyed. What part could make her fall in love with that man?

"Ehm .. I mean, is there nothing that interests you from Jendra? You've been together a long time."

Melani shook her head slowly. "Sorry, Mom."

"I never get my feelings involved while I'm at work. He's my boss and I'm just his secretary."

Melani saw Jenar's face looked disappointed. He did not want to lie to her and his heart.

"Maybe we'll stay back with him after he gets married. And I wish that girl was you."

"Better, I'll rest first. Don't think of anything that's not, Mom."

"Focus on your recovery because there are husbands and children who expect it."

Without them realizing it, Jendra was already in front of the nursery room. He had just accompanied his father back home to pick up a few pairs of change of clothes.

He came back first, because his father still had to see a doctor.

Jendra sat in the waiting chair in front of the room. He rubbed his increasingly disheveled face.

*Why should Melani, Ma? Isn't there another girl you could point to be my wife?

Melani is a good girl, I know that. And it's not fair if I marry her because I'm not a nice guy. I've done too much dirty with my ex*.

"Why is it still here, Jend?" surendra asked when she saw her son sitting in a waiting chair with a suitcase he had not put in the nursery.

"What are you thinking? Papa look from a distance, you rubbed your face many times."

Jendra nodded slowly. "I heard mama was laughing with Melani, so I didn't want to interrupt."

Surendra went into that ward. Melani was sitting on the sofa and her wife closed her eyes.

"Ma, have you eaten?" surendra asked when he saw the plate on the table was empty.

Jenar nodded. "Already, Pa. Melani's the one who's bribing me."

Jendra sat down next to Melani. He saw the girl checking the message on her phone.

"Take Melani home, Jend! Let papa take care of mama here!"

Jendra and Melani were both shocked to hear the request of the man in his fifties over.

"You rest at home, and come here again tomorrow morning."

"Sa-I will stay at a hotel around here, sir," said Melani, who did not want to trouble anyone.

"Mel, go! Auntie knows, you must be exhausted!"

Melani was again stunned when she heard Jenar say the word aunt after they chatted at length with Mother's call.

Jenar does not want Melani to consider him as a superior or a person to be respected because he is Jendra's mother. She wanted Melani to be familiar with her.

"Come, go home!" bring Jendra.

Melani was speechless again as Jendra grabbed her hand.

"We go home first, Ma, Pa," said Jendra before leaving the room.
