Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir

Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir
Chapter 37 Debate

Riana hugged Kalandra from behind as the man had already kept the phone away from her ear.

"Please, Andra! Mama please, don't meet him." Riana was crying.

"Please, Andra! He's very dangerous. You don't know what he's like. He could've done something reckless beyond our expectations." Riana placed her head on Kalandra's back.

Oma was a little surprised to see this happen. All this time, the old woman had never seen Riana being sweet to her children, including Kalandra. But this time, the woman sobbed just out of fear that Kalandra would meet Leo.

What are you keeping secret, Riana? Why do you look 180 degrees different? What did Leo know about you that you desperately forbade Andra to meet that man?

Andra's grown up, she's already the leader in this house. And he will no longer remain silent as you and the man return to playing with fire.

The mama? Mama hugged me? Mama crying for me? Kalandra. His heart warmed as well as quivering.

The last hug I felt 20 years ago, when mommy left with Reyga.

The Flashback

"Andra! Mama has to go, baby!" Pamit Riana on Kalandra who is only 10 years old.

A little calandra doesn't understand anything. Kalandra who could only cry when her mother left by carrying a tote bag while holding Reyga who was then only 5 years old.

"Where are you going, Ma?" Kalandra. "Mama don't go.." she asked in her tears.

"Mom should go, baby."

"She's kind of like you, kid." Riana kissed Kalandra's forehead.

Kalandra stood on the balcony of her room because Riana locked her in the room because she was chasing after the beautiful woman who was leaving.

Kalandra stood on the balcony and looked at Leo, the man with a big smile greeted Riana in an embrace and then kissed the woman on the forehead.

Kalandra was crying. Her mother left with another man before her eyes. And what broke him the most was that the woman was just carrying her sister, and she was in living alone.

His mother betrayed him, but he was too young to know why he did it.

Every night Kalandra cried because she missed the warm embrace of her mother and the jolly Reyga. The little brother he played with every time he went home from school.

Since then, his father has always looked moody, irritable and busy at work. He lost his mother and attention from his father.

Crying every night became a routine. He would pretend to sleep whenever his father saw him in the room. His eyes were closed, but the breath and tears that had not dried up must have made his papa know that he had finished crying.

He always breathed a sigh of relief, every time Bagas came out of the room and closed the door. Kalandra will come back sobbing because she feels how her papa tidied up the blanket so that she does not get cold.

Two weeks later, Riana returned to the house. But the situation has changed. His parents never spoke to each other. And the house doesn't feel warm anymore.

And when he came home from school, the man who was with his mother met him. "You are my son, Andra!"

"You are my flesh and blood. You are not Bagas' son. Your mother has hidden this truth from you and you."

From then on, Kalandra's heart and feelings crumbled dimly. He wanted to tell his father, but was afraid of another quarrel and his mother left him again, separating him from Reyga.

Kalandra kept that up for years. And when he's done the DNA test, he sees the girl he loves leaving with Leo without any explanation."

Flashback Off

"Please, Andra! Don't go."

Kalandra flinched as the hand hugged her tighter. He wiped his tears and released the wrinkled hand slowly.

"Please! Leo just wants revenge. Don't meet him."

Kalandra nodded. She hugged Riana tightly.

Ma, this warmth that Andra wants from mama. Why did my mom never give it to me again? Why did you stay away when Andra was angry? Why didn't you ever explain anything about that guy? Kalandra.

"Don't meet him, Andra!"

Kalandra nodded slowly.

"Sir, today I am permission not to overtime" Melani told Jendra who was sitting at his desk.

Jendra looked at the clock on his wrist which showed it at 3pm.

"Why?" ask Jendra. Since these few days, Kayla has not gone to work due to an accident and Melani does all of their work alone. Not infrequently he was overtime until 8 pm.

"I'm going to Kayla's house to see her, sir," Melani replied.

Jendra stood up from his chair. "Then, come on!" Bring Jendra. He straightened up his suit and grabbed his laptop bag.

Melani gawks at what her boss is doing. He still doesn't understand.

"Mel, come!" Jendra made Melani wake up from her daydream.

"It's still working hours, sir!" melani answered nervously.

"No problem. Every now and then we go home quickly" replied Jendra as he walked away from Melani.

"Are you not bored of constantly working. I just feel so bored" he continued.

Melani soon overtakes Jendra. He also grabbed his bag which he put on his desk. His desk was already neatened so he could go straight away.

Jendra and Melani enter the elevator which will take them to the bottom floor.

"Sir..."

"Don't say anything, Mel."

"You're saying you didn't invite me, right?" Jendra looked at Melani who was slowly retreating because their distance was too close.

Melani looked at the handsome man before her. Of course he would answer "yes". Because he only asked for permission, not for company.

"Did you forget, she's my best friend's wife and also my secretary."

Melani nodded as she did not want to argue any longer. "Yes, sir. Sorry for not taking you."

"You I'm sorry." Jendra looked back ahead.

Elevator door opens. They immediately came out and Jendra paused for a moment at the reception desk. "If anyone's looking for me, just tell me I'm not in the office."

"Mails..." Call Jendra when you feel Melani is no longer following her.

"Yes." replied Melani from 5 meters away.

"Where are you going?"

"Waiting for a taxi, sir."

Jendra sighed. "You're coming with me!"

"But-but".

"This is an order, Mel!" Jendra walked back to the parking lot.

Melani stomped her legs irritated. "Forced basis!"

"I heard, Mel!" jendra's words made Melani lips.

They leave the office immediately. But they decided to buy some hands.

"Flower off, Mel!" jendra Proposal.

"Fruit or bread is better, sir."

"I think flowers are more luxurious."

"I'm visiting a friend, not a girlfriend!"

Jendra looked at Melani. "Giving flowers doesn't have to be to a boyfriend, Mel."

"Based on a playboy, a goat wearing a lipstick might even give flowers!" muttered Melani who understood the behavior of the heartbroken playboy.

"Don't insinuate me Mel."

"Always listen!" lamented Melani.

"Hi Kay! How are you doing?" melani asked Kayla who was resting in bed. While Jendra and Kalandra sat on the sofa and the room.

"Well, Ma'am!" kayla replied politely. "Thank you for taking the time to come."

"There's no need to bother."

"I have to come, Kay! So that we get well soon and enter the office." replied Melani.

"My head is about to break and my fingers are..." Melani showed ten fingers of her hand. "It's almost broken because it keeps pressing the keyboard key." Melani's complaint made Kayla laugh.

"I'll be at work soon."

"How come you guys came together?" whispered Kayla while glancing at Jendra who even played PS with Kalandra.

Melani shrugged her shoulders, "Somethe, suddenly she wanted to come, but I just asked her permission not to overtime today because she wanted to see you."

Kayla laughs. "It's not overtime, I'm going home early."

Melani laughs. "Maybe that's just the reason. Looks like he's tired of sitting all day in his big chair because there's no meeting today."

Kayla nodded in agreement. "Look, they're playing PS."

Both giggle.

"You're so lucky, Kay. Your husband turned out to be very rich." praise Melani.

"I just found out that Mr. Kalandra's house is this big." Melani looked around the spacious room. "The room is the size of my apartment."

Kayla smiled forcefully. He was confused as to what to behave. He was lucky, but all this was only for a year. If only Melani knew, then Kayla could guarantee the girl would gawk and not be able to say anything more.

"It's a windfall, Ma'am."

"Ah, yes. I saw an old grandma downstairs. Is that her grandmother Kalandra?"

Kayla nodded. "Yes, that's Omanya mas Kalandra."

"We just greeted him."

The long talk was not felt long enough. Melani said goodbye because the day was getting late.

"Kay, I'll go home first. Get well soon, yeah!"

"Sit there for a second, Mel." Jendra's orders.

"I will defeat Kalandra in a moment!" Jendra is focused on playing PS.

"Hahaha, you've lost 8 times, Jend!" Kalandra also remained focused even though she laughed.

"Oh Kal, you were just lucky" replied Jendra.

"Where is anyone lucky to win up to 8 times out of 10 games, Jend."

"Kaila! Watch out fall!" Shouted Jendra suddenly.

"Kay?" Kalandra looked at Kayla. She was worried that Kayla would fall while walking. It turned out to be just Jendra's stratagem. Kayla was still sitting on the bed.

"Yeeesss! I am, right?" Shouted Jendra in excitement.

"Hey.it's cheating, Jend!" kalandra Protest.

"I'm not cheating. I'm just saying Kay watch out for a fall!"

"But he's fine, Jend. He's even just sitting on the bed."

"I'm just warning you, Kal. You think the person sitting on the bed can't fall." They're arguing.

"Let's go home, Mel." Invite Jendra who managed to defeat Kalandra.

"Acquire of your defeat. Ahaha!" Jendra laughs.

Melani and Kayla could only laugh at the trivial quarrel between the 2 CEOs.
