Chapter 25 Former

During the meeting Kayla was very attentive. This was his first meeting with an important client during his time as Jendra's secretary. Because Melani usually goes with her boss.

Kayla could see the woman named Clara continuously looking at Kalandra who was sitting right next to her. Clara sat opposite them.

"Kal, I want us to talk together" Clara said as the meeting finished and everyone prepared to leave the room including Kayla.

Kayla was surprised by Clara's request to openly invite Kalandra to talk alone.

"Jend, borrow this room.." Clara said.

Jendra grinned and then nodded. The man also glanced at the ordinary-looking Kayla.

"I can't." Reject Kalandra firmly.

"Just a second!" please Clara.

"I don't have time."

"Please! Please!"

Kayla walked behind Jendra who was about to walk out of the meeting room. While inside left only Kalandra and Clara.

"Kaila. Stay here!" Kayla stopped her steps. So is Jendra who was surprised by the request of his best friend.

"I just want two, Kal!"

"Stay here Kay! Jend, please leave us!"

Jendra came out of the room. He looked at Kayla and nodded. "Stay here!" his orders.

Kayla turned around and immediately sat down in her chair. "What's up, sir? I have to go back..."

"I order you to stay here, Kay!" kalandra said firmly.

"Kal's... Why did you ask him to come here?" ask Clara who began to be confused because Kalandra instead involved Jendra's secretary.

"She's my wife!" answer Kalandra firmly.

Duaaaarrr!

It wasn't Clara's heart that was struck by lightning. But Kayla's heart was shocked. This is the first time Kalandra admitted herself as a wife in front of others.

"Kal, so he's the one?" ask Clara not to believe it. He knew Kalandra was married, but did not find out who the woman he married was.

"I think you're just joking about him being just an ordinary person." Clara glanced at Kayla with a cynical look. He had seen the news that Kalandra said that in front of the media.

"I never mess with my words," Kalandra replied still in a cold tone.

The man sitting next to Kayla clearly looked uncomfortable in this position. And sure enough, Kalandra moved her legs so she could touch Kayla's feet as a code for Kayla to help her.

Kayla just shut up. He won't do anything because it's none of his business. He was happy, and wanted to see further what would happen next.

"There's a lot of girls out there, Kal. Why should he?" point at Clara again with her chin.

"You're a company leader. And why did you choose a secretary instead?"

"There are still many children of businessmen who want to be your wife."

"Including yourself?" kalandra asked by pulling one corner of her lips and then throwing her face away, not wanting to look at Clara.

Clara rounded her eyes. "No!" The woman replied with a nervousness that seemed to be covered up.

"No." Clara laughs. "I'm married."

"Why do you regret marrying me?" ask Kalandra again.

"I just feel like he doesn't deserve you!"

Wow... to the point, huh? Makes my heart tear to shreds. Inner Kayla who was trying to restrain herself from being released. After all Clara is an important client for Jendra and Kalandra's company.

"Worthy or not it's not you who judge, Cla. But I feel it."

"And just so you know, he was with me before I became CEO."

"Come baby! We should have lunch before the break runs out." Kalandra clasped Kayla's wrist.

"Mas, wait a minute. I have to bring this file." Kayla took the file on the table with her other hand.

Kayla threw a small smile at Clara. Just find safe.

Kalandra heard it but refused to respond. She doesn't really want to involve Kayla in the relationship between herself and Clara.

Kalandra assumes her relationship and Clara is over. But, Clara still approached her even though she just wanted to be friends.

During these decades, Clara never even appeared again in her life. Then, why suddenly now comes by offering a friendship that has disappeared for a long time.

"Jend, borrow him!" kalandra said to Jendra who was still at Melani's desk.

"Return it without one less!" reply Jendra by seeing Kalandra at a glance.

Kayla puts the file on Melani's desk and picks up her bag and goes with Kalandra.

Clara stood beside Jendra. "You're the one who set them up?" ask the man who was watching Melani eat fried noodles with chopsticks.

Jendra allowed the secretary to eat at the desk as long as it did not litter and damage the files.

"Yes..." Jendra looked at Clara with a slight look. "I'm the one who set them up. Wh why? Any issues?"

"Ti. no." replied Clara nervously.

"Only, I feel like they don't fit."

Jendra laughs. "Why do you say so, while those who undergo just fine-fine!"

"I'm afraid, that woman is just using Kalandra."

Jendra frowned while Melani had already sucked half a cup of cold sweet tea from almost choking on hearing Clara's protest.

"You think that's how it is?" ask Jendra enthusiastically.

Clara nodded. "Yes, I think so."

"What else does the woman look for if not Kalandra's wealth."

Jendra laughed loudly. "Don't be naive, Cla!"

Clara rounded her eyes at Jendra's words.

"Kalandra is handsome, dashing, mighty. Many girls would open their thighs to sweat with it."

Melani almost choked again to hear the phrase lakn*at spoken from the mouth of her superior.

"So, why would he choose the materialistic if the sincere is a lot!"

Jendra stood opposite Clara. "Thirteen years is a very long time, Cla."

"Kalandra can turn into anything. He's not the cupu who just keeps quiet, expecting a love reply from a girl!"

"And one more, Cla. I hope you can tell the difference between cooperation and personal matters."

"You come to offer cooperation, so be consistent. Don't mix up a past that can't be repeated."

"I'll excuse you."

"Mel, get OB to deliver my coffee!" jendra's orders went straight into his room.

While Melani who had been a silent witness suddenly gasped at Jendra's orders.

Clara stared at Melani. "Don't leak it!" Threaten Clara with her index finger. "Or I'll get you out of this office!"

It's not me who's gonna leak it, but maybe a crazy lion in there. Inner Melani.

Clara left with her broad steps. He was upset by Jendra's words. He thought Kalandra was still the same person. Apparently not.

He came back from abroad because he saw the news of Kalandra being rumored by same-sex enthusiasts. He felt, the cause of Kalandra did not have a lover all this time because waiting for his return.

Clara realized, she had scratched a deep wound in Kalandra's heart. He wants to go back and repair his relationship with the man. But it seems too late. Kalandra is married, either with or without love.

Clara still wanted to be with Kalandra after seeing the man act cold to her. Clara interpreted it as an anger that Kalandra pendam for him.

And have not forgiven, he defined as still a feeling for himself. A little crazy, but that's what Clara had in mind.

He still wanted to get close to Kalandra and make sure it was true or not that the man still harbored a taste for her.
