Jendra was left speechless when Melani said it took more than just an excuse to start a relationship.
He did not understand what Melani had in mind. How could Melani not have any feelings for him while they had been together for long enough?
He could have been worried earlier when Melani was sick. And he meant that there was indeed one feeling he had for the girl.
Jendra has not yet defined the feeling as a feeling of love, but he believes his concerns are justified.
Over the past few months, only Melani has become her friend. Not to tell a story, but just to forget the bitter story because its relationship with the Light did not work.
"I'm going home first, Mel!" She stood up from the sofa after the two said nothing more.
"Cheal quickly and go to the doctor if necessary!"
Jendra walked towards the door. He paused to pick up one of the two access cards on the sidewall of the door.
"Tomorrow I'll give it back!"
That way, Melani won't have to take him down. He stepped out with a feeling he himself did not understand.
It felt so sad to see her secretary living alone. And when it hurts like this, the girl has to take care of herself.
While in the kitchen, Jendra saw there was a teflon still located on the stove and an egg shell in the trash. That means, Melani only breakfast with eggs, without rice. Maybe with the bread because Jendra didn't see the ricecooker lights on. It means there is no rice in it.
Jendra saw the contents of the refrigerator were not much food because the girl went with him yesterday and did not have time for monthly shopping.
Jendra finally entered a supermarket that is still located in the apartment area. He bought a lot of food. Starting from the raw, to the ready-to-eat. Jendra took whatever origin, let alone the item he had seen in the refrigerator in his kitchen.
He was not ashamed at all when many eyes looked at him while shopping. Strangely enough, the man in a neat suit pushed the trolley and bought a lot of groceries.
Meanwhile, Melani sits pensively on the sofa. He bent his knees, and held both hands above his knees. He has not even moved after more than 30 minutes of Jendra's departure.
Melani remembers every incident of the last few days that always made her unable to sleep. Perhaps that is why his health is declining.
And the climax was this morning, the moment so surprisingly, the man came along as well as the man's mouthful in his heart.
And what about me, who repeatedly asked you to get married. Not only ignoring, you are refusing outright!
Then, what about the feeling of my mother blatantly begging you, Mel?
Why don't you give me that chance?
"Why don't I give you that precision?" mumbling slowly.
And he was surprised when he realized a drop of water was wetting his hand.
Melani stared at the ceiling, but why was her gaze blurry?
Melani rubbed her eyes. Wet?
Melani rubbed it again and right, her eyes were wet. He did not expect himself to cry because he could not accept every word Jendra. He felt so bad for those who were so good to him.
Why do I have so many reasons to refuse? Why don't I find a reason to accept it?
Of love? Why do I use that word as an excuse? Do I know what love is like? Have I ever felt what it feels like to fall in love?
What scares me to be with him? Risk abandoned? Didn't the players in the office also originally love each other with their partners, but they could still play with fire with their own partners?
What, what, what and what am I looking for?
Why, why can't I accept it? Is it because he's not a good guy? Then what about me? Am I a good woman?
I don't even know who my parents are. I don't even know my origins. I'm just a nursing home kid who just happened to be lucky.
"Mil ...."
Melani stared at the door when she heard Jendra's voice. And sure enough, the man came in with a few bags of groceries.
Melani hurriedly wiped her tears. He tried to keep his face away from Jendra's sight. He did not want to look weak in the eyes of the man.
Jendra put the groceries on the dining table. "This is food. I bought it because I saw your fridge was empty."
Jendra got out of that apartment. He heard the girl say thank you. He did not want to look at the girl's face.
He saw clearly, Melani was crying. But Jendra doesn't want Melani to be ashamed of knowing she saw him.
Was he crying because of what I said? What is he feeling? Is the pain severe?
Jendra returns to his office and sees Kalandra sitting in front of Kayla's desk.
"Pick up for lunch, Kal?" tanyakanya. He pulled an empty chair in front of Melani's desk and sat down near Kalandra.
"Not really, I'm accompanying my wife" replied Kalandra who still noticed Kayla working with her computer.
"I've been here two hours."
Jendra's surprised. "Why can? Kayla asked you to come?"
"No!" Kalandra. "I want to. I called him and asked him where you were. He said that you and Melani were not in the office."
"Where from?" ask Kalandra who started jahil. "Walk Melani?"
Jendra. Why is it so precise.
"Not to answer. I already know."
"Sokay know!" exclaim Jendra.
"I saw your car go into his apartment!"
Checkmate!
"Ck!" Jendra clucked
"Start growing the seeds of love, it seems." Kalandra laughs.
"Love?"
"Don't be a plain-ass, rusty playboy!" Kalandra punched Jendra's stomach slowly. Not seriously, just messing around.
"Look clearly, you're worried about her."
Jendra shrugged his shoulders. "Mama asked her to marry me." He used to tell the problem to Kalandra even though he would not find a solution.
Not only was Kalandra surprised, but Kayla too. He stopped working to see the seriousness in Jendra's face.
"Tante Jenar wants to, then you?" ask Kalandra. "You and him, Jend!"
"Don't be influenced by other people even if it's your own mama."
Jendra stared cynically at Kalandra. "What a fitting thing, that word comes out of the mouth of you who are married also because of a deal, Kal!"
Kayla sighed. It is true, our marriage was not originally due to our will either. But because of circumstances.
Kalandra laughed softly. "It's precisely because of that, Jend. I regret marrying that way. I loved Kayla so quickly, why didn't we approach first."
"Then, he refused?" kalandra asked back to their conversation.
Jendra nodded. "Yes, for the reason that he doesn't love me."
Kalandra laughs. "That's why don't you freak out, Jend. She's a woman, her feelings are very sensitive."
"It looks like a bar, but his heart is still as soft as cotton sugar."
"Ck!" Jendra Decak. "Where do you learn from, Kay!"
Kayla smiles. "The experience that taught him, sir!"
Kalandra smiled looking at his wife. The man showed a finger heart with his thumb and index finger.
"Hoe! I want to puke!" Jendra walked into his room leaving a couple who were widened.
