Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir

Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir
Chapter 66 Kayla's Ideas

Kayla walked into her room with two cups of hot chocolate and her homemade nastar cake setoples.

Since he knew that Kalandra really liked the cake, he often made it. It's not hard for Kayla. Having a basic can cook, making it not the slightest difficulty even though only see how to make it from a video tutorial.

Kayla put the tray on the Kalandra desk. It was 11 p.m., but the man was still staring at his laptop screen.

Already these days, Kalandra always work late into the night. A problem the man was facing didn't seem to want him to share with Kayla.

"I don't know what you're dealing with, Mom." Said Kayla who was standing behind Kalandra as her hands massaged those burly shoulders.

"I noticed you looked glum and always worked even when you were at home."

"And now, I want to ask you that." Kayla hugged Kalandra's neck and with a slight bow she stuck her chin on her husband's shoulder.

"You don't want to share it with me?"

Kalandra smiled thinly. His face looked to the side, and he could briefly kiss his wife's cheek.

"You being here is enough, baby. I don't want to add to the burden of your mind. You're tired of working, and I don't want you to even think about my problems."

Kalandra took off Kayla's hand and led her to sit on her lap. He hugged the flat stomach and leaned his head against Kayla's chest. He hid his face in the white neck.

"Hugging you like this is very helpful. Makes me forget my problems."

Kayla rubs Kalandra's hair. "Actually I can find out if this concerns the company. Dea and Jeslyn will be happy to tell."

Kalandra laughs. "Have a new friend, or do you not make Dea as your spy to watch over me?" kalandra Canda.

Kayla laughed too. "My money isn't enough to pay him, Mas" Kayla replied.

"Again, I believe. If a man truly loves his wife, he will still remember who he is, his status and who the woman who always accompanies his sleep."

"So, no matter how attractive other women are around, the man will not be tempted."

Kalandra laughed again. "I'm moved."

"I'm not praising you, Mom!" reply Kayla.

"But I'm like that. Then I really love you!"

"Then, then tell me what your problem is, Mas. Shouldn't people who love each other not hide something from their partners?"

Kalandra laughed again. He looked at Kayla's eyes, which were getting sleepy. "You set me up on purpose, huh?"

Kayla laughs.

"All right." Kalandra sighed. "I'm looking to build a villa in area X."

"But some residents haven't wanted to take off their land so I haven't been able to start construction."

"That's all?" kayla asked in relief, because at least Kalandra's problem was not about the heart and other women.

Kalandra nodded steadily. "Yes, that's the problem. The area of land that has been bought, is still less a little more. But no one wants to sell their land anymore."

Kayla cupped Kalandra's cheeks. "Why did my husband become such an ambitious man? Very different from the Kalandra I knew yesterday."

"Kalandra's running the company casually."

"If the land is not as wide as the target, just build a smaller villa, Mas."

"I'm sure many architects will be happy to help you."

"But I already have the design," Kalandra retorted.

Kayla laughs. "How come you have the design, but don't know how much land you have?"

"You're sure that all the people there will sell their land to your company, Mas?" ask Kayla.

"Listen darling!" Kayla rubs Kalandra's cheek.

"Not everyone will be tempted by rupiah."

"Just like the people there who don't want to sell their land. Maybe the land is the legacy of their parents. Or there may even be a building of their childhood home. A lot of memories they don't want to exchange for money."

"I've already offered a piece of land with the same area elsewhere, Kay. But they still don't want to."

Kayla nodded. "Who would sell land to a stranger while they don't need money, Mas?"

"And it's likely true, the land is their parents' legacy."

"I hope you don't impose your will, Mom. Having a lot of money does not mean you become a ruler."

"Change the design, and adjust to the area of land you have."

"I'll think about it later," replied Kalandra who did have to go back to meet with the related team.

"Oh, yes Mas. Isn't that a pretty remote area?"

Kalandra nodded. "But it's easily accessible. The local government is repairing the facilities and infrastructure to the tourist attractions in the village that they are developing as well."

"Can I give you a suggestion?" kayla and Kalandra asked.

"You don't want to make a foundation there, Mas?" ask Kayla. "Take it as a form of your attention to the area that will stand your assets there."

Kalandra looked at Kayla waiting for his wife's explanation. "What foundation, Kay?"

Kayla smiles. "Give them a gift. Open a free school, for PAUD and Kindergarten kids, Mas."

"More for those who are less capable."

"The cost of education is not cheap, surely the presence of your foundation will greatly help them, Mas."

"Deliver funds every month. I'm sure the fees won't be as much as the monthly money you give me."

Kalandra nodded. According to him, what Kayla said had a point. For what he is too imposing a will. And the free school thing, it doesn't seem like bad advice.

Maybe it's time to share it with people in need. If all this time he only channeled a little money for an orphanage, now he wants to jump in by himself by giving help to the people in the village.

"I'll buy a piece of land and build a school there."

"Complete with a library or reading house for elementary school children up to High School, Mas."

"Because in addition to PAUD and TK children. Other children from SD to High School levels can also benefit, Mas."

Kalandra nodded back. She is lucky to have married Kayla. During her marriage, she never regretted her marriage.

Back then, getting back to familiarity with his mother was a dream for him. But now the dream has come true.

In the past, he only had a father who occasionally became his friend to share complaints about his work. But now, he's got Kayla.

Now Kalandra knows why God finally predestined her to marry Kayla. Because God knows, Kayla will make everything change including the relationship in her family.

"Thank you dear! I'm so lucky to have married you!"

"I'm also very lucky, Mom!"

"Remain good, Mother. Because we don't know when it's time for trouble. And when that time comes, I believe God helps us in His way, and through His chosen ones."
