Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir

Bar-Bar's Wife The Heir
Chapter 22 The Heavy Rain

Duaaar!

The sound of lightning striking made Kayla almost jump from the sofa in Kalandra's room.

She finds it hard to sleep when she remembers Reyga saying that divorce is taboo in this family. What about Kalandra. Even the man had already planned a divorce before their marriage took place.

"The more the night, the harder I get to sleep. And the more rain falls."

"The AC in this room also makes me unable to close my eyes."

Kayla saw the rain from her bedroom window. Flashes of lightning struck and thunder several times sounded thunderous.

Kayla went into the bathroom to clean up. He washed his feet and face before going to bed. He also did not forget to brush his teeth.

Kayla climbed onto the bed and covered half of her body with the thick blanket. He looked at the ceiling of the large room.

"This bed is very comfortable. Last night I didn't wake up in the middle of the night." Kayla rubbed the surface of the bed with her hands.

"Huh! Why don't I write down the convenience of being one of the points in the agreement?" regrettable.

"This room is very large. It can hold two or even three beds. But I sleep on the floor." Kayla sighed.

"It's ten o'clock, and Kalandra hasn't come home yet. Maybe he'll come home tomorrow. So, tonight I can sleep in his bed."

Kayla started to close her eyes.

Meanwhile, somewhere else. Kalandra's on her way. Soon he will arrive home, but the fairly unfriendly weather makes him unable to drive a car at high speed.

Kalandra saw a cart selling sweet martabak on the side of the road. Kalandra pulled over and got out of the car using an umbrella so that her clothes were not wet.

Kalandra ordered several martabak with different flavors.

"Mas, just wait in the car. Later I deliver when it is finished," said the seller when he saw it hit by splashes of rain water that fell on the ground.

Kalandra was waiting in the car. He wanted to call Kayla and ask her if the girl had slept or not. But he abandoned his intentions for fear of disturbing Kayla who had started working today.

Kalandra received martabak from the seller and gave several hundred thousand rupiah notes.

"I'll take the change first, Mom."

"No need sir. Just make it a father."

Kalandra immediately drove her car. The distance to his house is very close. And within minutes he had entered a housing complex.

Kalandra arrived at the two-story mansion. The whole lamp is dead. She asked security to call a housekeeper to open the door for her.

Kalandra never carries the keys to the house because the house is never empty. There was always someone in it so there was always someone who opened the door for him even though he came home at midnight.

Kalandra gave some of the martabak that she brought to security and household assistants.

He looked into the room of the oma first, and saw that the old woman was already asleep. Kalandra tidied up the blanket that partially covered the body of the oma.

"Andra's..."

Kalandra laughed softly. "Oma recognized. But my eyes are not open."

Oma smiled. "Oma know the smell of your perfume."

Oma changed her position to sit. "You just got home?"

"Yes, Oma."

"Andra bring martabak. Oma wants?" ask Kalandra.

"No. Oma never eats this late."

Kalandra. Eating late at night is not good for your health.

"Go to your room." Oma ordered.

"Kayla must be waiting for you, Andra. Oma saw she didn't taste good at dinner last night." Lying Oma. Kayla seemed to be enjoying her dinner.

"He must be hungry. Get him to eat martabak together, Andra."

Kalandra nodded. "Andra to the room first, Oma," she said.

Kalandra came out of the room. Kayla doesn't have a taste for food? She waiting for me? Is that really so? Ah, that girl must be acting. Kalandra.

Kalandra immediately headed for the kitchen and made two hot chocolates. To him and Kayla. He also prepared a tray to carry martabak, hot chocolate and two glasses of water as an option for Kayla if the girl did not want hot chocolate.

Kalandra went up to the second floor. He put a tray on the table and opened the door. "Not in the lock. I forgot to tell her to always lock the door to this room" Kalandra murmured.

Only then did Kalandra bring the tray into the room. He closed the door with his feet for fear that the tray in his hand would fall if he only used one hand.

He put a tray on the table in front of the sofa. Kalandra saw Kayla sleeping on her bed.

When he went to the bathroom, he saw Kayla's face at a glance. He smiled and went into the bathroom. He enjoyed sleeping on that soft bed .

Kalandra flushed her body. He took a shower at the hotel. But, somehow he wanted to take another bath when the air was very cold because the rain still fell even though it was not too heavy.

On top of the bed, Kayla was a little distracted by the sound of water gurgling from the bathroom.

"Kalandra's home?" Kayla. He saw a clock on the wall.

"Hour 11.30."

Kayla saw a suitcase she knew next to the door. "True, he's home."

Kayla prepared to get out of bed because there was no way she could continue sleeping because the man had already gone home.

"Kay..."

Kayla was surprised that Kalandra suddenly came out of the bathroom.

"Yes..."

"Eh, Sir!" ralat Kayla because he wrongly greeted Kalandra.

Kalandra laughs. "Even when you wake up, you still remember to act."

"Call me, even if there's no one. So that you don't have to be afraid of mispronouncing if suddenly there's someone else."

Kalandra immediately walked towards the sofa leaving Kayla who was still trying to digest her words.

"Come here!" take Kalandra to the girl who is still sitting on the bed with her legs dangling.

"I brought sweet martabak and hot chocolate."

Kayla was silent for a moment. He looked at his hungry stomach.

"I'll go to the bathroom first, sir. Uh, Mas!"

Kalandra smiled. "Since when was he so nervous. Maybe because of the new effect of waking up."

Kayla washed her face so that her drowsiness would disappear. Kayla was more concerned with her hungry stomach than her sleepy eyes.

Kayla sat beside Kalandra who was holding a cup and sipped hot chocolate inside. Looks like the guy already ate a few martabak pieces first.

"Eat!" Kalandra invited Kayla to eat.

Kayla drinks hot chocolate first, then she eats a piece of martabak that Kalandra bought.

"How are these two days without me?"

"Much of a surprise!" answer Kayla.

First about the mother-in-law who didn't call who. Second, about Gia who is suspected of going into the room and third, there is Reyga who he thinks is too over-assessing himself.

Kalandra smiled a little. "I think you're used to the surprises that happen in this house."

"Yes, get used to it."

"What about oma?"

"good. There's no problem."

"Ehm, there's a little problem" Kayla continued.

"Tell me."

"I started not feeling well because I kept sleeping on the floor" Kayla said.

"Sleep in bed if you want to" Kalandra replied.

Kayla rounded her eyes. "Are you serious?"

"Sure," answered Kalandra confidently.

"Where did you sleep?"

"In bed too." Answer Kalandra.
