As a good father and husband, Kalandra always wanted to give the best to her son and wife. He always tried to divide his time, both for work and for his family.
The older baby Ara gets, the more overwhelmed Kayla gets. The more active the little girl is, the more often she is awake and nursing. Kayla could barely even leave Ara for a long time.
Kalandra felt she had to give something to his wife. He wanted to give a gift as a thank you for the tiredness Kayla felt while caring for her son.
Kalandra looked at her best friend who was in her study. The two had just finished discussing the matter of work.
"What gift is worth giving to a wife, Jend?" ask Kalandra. He wanted to give an unusual gift. And he's sure Jendra knows.
Jendra stared at Kalandra. He who had been daydreaming suddenly forced his brain to think.
"Every woman has different desires. Maybe he needs some time to himself, Kal! The language is cool, me time."
"Is there nothing more special, Jend?" tanyakanya. Kayla had plenty of time to herself because her wife was not working at all. Kayla is enjoying her role as a mother.
"At any rate, Kayla doesn't necessarily want to leave Ara with me or mama."
"He can enjoy his time with a sense of anxiety. She must be afraid that Ara is crying."
Kalandra could have let Kayla go for a walk, shop or go to the salon, but she wasn't sure Kayla would want to leave Ara.
Jendra shrugged his shoulders. "Hell to you, Kal! Ask, but don't take it with my answer."
"Just find another way." Jendra folded his hands on his chest. He shook his head. He wanted to relax for a moment in his best friend's office.
"Just give them gold, jewels or diamonds, just like husbands in general."
"Is Kayla on her birthday?" ask the man whose wife is pregnant.
"No. Just wanted to give me a gift."
"Then just give her flowers, or kiss her a hundred times" replied the original Jendra.
"I'm just bothered to take care of my wife who more and more days she wants."
Kalandra laughs. He's been through those times. Although not too troublesome, but the name of pregnant women must have just wanted.
"What's he doing, Jend?"
After knowing, the last time Melani wanted to see Jendra cooking with a negligee, Kalandra became increasingly curious to know what the woman wanted.
"She cried this morning, Kal."
"Why? Sick? Stomach cramps? Nausea? Or want to eat something?" ask Kalandra who seems to have memorized the habits of pregnant women.
"Eitherway. Said he dreamt I was cheating."
"Then he silenced me now."
Kalandra laughed again. "It looks like your son is really smart."
"He's happy to trouble his papa."
Jendra glanced in annoyance. "Why is Melani always pissed at me, huh Kal?"
"We argue almost every day, then love each other at night. And the next morning we argue."
"I don't feel at home."
Melani began to rarely work because of her condition that is not possible. So, Jendra will soon find a new secretary to replace Melani and Kayla.
"Be careful, usually times like this become an opportunity for a husband to cheat." Kalandra smartly advised Jendra.
Jendra stared hard. "No! I can't do it, Kal!"
Jendra convinced himself that he had repented and really did not want to hurt Melani by beating her up.
"I'll just remind you," Kalandra replied indifferently.
"I'm afraid you're caliph and Melani will put your head on the dinner table and your body in the room."
Jendra shuddered in horror. Just imagining it makes his heart beat fast.
Kalandra laughed at Jendra's reaction, but he was only joking.
"My advice, give him more attention. Massage his legs, wipe his stomach, if necessary take him for a walk, Jend."
"He must be saturated only at home constantly."
"You forbid him to work, but he has no other activities at home. It's only natural that he gets bored and ends up blaming you for the way he is now."
"He's always pissed when he sees your face."
Jendra rubbed his face. Suddenly, he had a good idea. There's one thing that's sure to make Melani happy.
Meanwhile, Kalandra is still confused about what gift to Kayla. All the way home, he thought about it.
"Ring?"
Kalandra. "Kayla can buy it herself."
Kalandra did give a lot of money to his wife. Even Kayla's savings are saving. Kayla can certainly afford to buy a ring.
"Bullet flowers?"
"LT...! Just like Abege!" Kalandra felt strange when she imagined he would give a bouquet to his wife.
"Me time?"
Kalandra smiled with satisfaction as she knew what to do. He began to make a plan and he will carry it out today.
Upon arriving home, Kalandra went straight into the bathroom before she met her son and wife.
"Honey, prepare, tonight I will take you somewhere" said Kalandra while combing her hair.
Kayla who was tidying up her baby toiletries turned to her husband.
"Where, Mas? Who would I be if I went with you?"
"There's mom and Oma. Take it easy, we won't be long."
"Take pretty clothes. I've prepared the dress for you." Kalandra pointed at a box on the dressing table by patting it several times.
Kayla smiled slightly then shook her head slowly. "Like a date."
Kalandra approached and grabbed Kayla. "Picture it that way. We never dated before we got married."
"We don't go through such times, Mom."
"You're right, we got married by air and then jumped and went down at that point."
"We've never even been together to get to know each other."
Kayla hit her husband's arm. "It's because of you, Mom. You offered me a wedding."
"Jendra chose you for me."
"So, you're sorry?"
Kalandra. "Never a little bit, Kay!"
"Everything is set up in such a way, Kay. Maybe that's what God's soul mate calls."
Kayla laughs. "Why do you just agree with Mr. Jendra's advice, Mas?"
"Actually I don't want to, Kay."
"But ...."
"Let's go, it all just happened." Kalandra tightened her embrace. He breathed deeply into the scent of Kayla's shampoo.
Kayla laughs. "Say one thing, Mommy." Kayla insists.
Kalandra stayed for a moment. "Seriously you want to hear the reason?"
Kayla nodded.
"You need a lot of money, but you didn't accept my gift when you got my wallet snatched away."
"You need a lot of money, but you could have scolded Alif, back then."
"Maos ..." Kayla turned around and looked at Kalandra. "You know that the one who took your wallet was Alif?"
Kalandra nodded and smiled. "I heard your conversation."
"And I feel, that you are an amazing girl. You're willing to take responsibility for the expenses Alif needs for his mother."
"I secretly told someone to follow you to prove that you actually used that money for her medical expenses, Susi."
Kayla looked at Kalandra's face fixedly. All this time, he thought that Kalandra did not know about it.
"Why daydream?" ask Kalandra.
Kayla gasps. "I'm just surprised because you know that the culprit is Alif and you're not following up ...."
"Srush! I impeached. And I'm so proud of both of them. The two loved each other despite being squeezed by economic conditions." Kalandra rubbed his wife's head.
Kayla hugs Kalandra. "Thank you, Mum."
