"Ma, Pa, we're home!" jendra shouted from the front door. He held Melani by the hand while two of their suitcases were still in the car.
After Marshella's house, they decide to check out of the cottage and go straight home to Jendra's parents.
Jenar immediately welcomed the arrival of the child and his daughter-in-law. He who had heard a piece of the story from Jendra about the parents of Melani's birth also felt happy. He waited for them both to hear the whole story.
"You happy, baby?" ask Jenar.
Melani nodded. "Very, Ma."
Melani clasped Jenar's hand. Now the two stand facing each other. "I'm very happy. Although things will happen outside of plan, but all of this really makes me feel like I'm finding a new me, Ma."
"I feel like a newborn human being" said Melani, who smiled as her tears returned.
"Already, Ma. His eyes are so swollen. Don't cry anymore!" Jendra. He passed through the body of his wife and mother just like that.
Jendra prefers to sit with her father in the tv room. He did say he was going home tonight so his parents waited for their arrival.
Jenar and Melani catch up with Jendra and join him on the sofa. "Mama's happy too, Jend."
"So, what's wrong with you asking her?"
"That's tomorrow, Ma. Let him rest."
Melani. "I want to tell my mom a lot of things."
Jenar smiled at her son. He feels winning.
"Will you cry again?"
"Sweeping is good for health, Mom!"
"Who said?"
"I just said it. Mama heard it too, right?"
Genar held back his laughter and nodded back. "Come, baby! Just let him be here with his dad."
Jenar and Melani enter the room used by Jendra. "You want to change, Mel?"
"Later on, Ma."
They sit on the bed. Jenar sat cross-legged and took a roll. Melani did the same.
Melani told Jenar a lot of things. He was crying, even laughing. Now his face is bent.
"What about mama? Am I wrong to want to live with my mom?"
"During this time, I helped charge for the children's lives in the parlors. But, I don't know it turns out my own mother lives in financial conditions that are fairly mediocre."
"But you refused to come with me, Ma. I want them to stay in my apartment."
Jenar rubbed Melani's shoulder. "Mom knows how you feel, Mel."
"This fact is so shocking that you're so excited to bring your mother."
"But, according to my mother, you should focus on your mother's recovery."
"Don't rush to decide anything."
"Run what's in front of your eyes right now."
"If her pain has healed and her mental health has recovered, she will definitely come with you. Let him make peace with the old situation, honey."
"Trust me, your mother will surely recover soon after this meeting of yours. Because he's rediscovered his favorite daughter." Jenar grabbed Melani's hand and placed both hands on the back of Melani's hand as a form of caring.
"Tomorrow, my mother will come to see him so that she can accompany him to the hospital." Jenar smiled.
"Mama's advice, you guys stay here until the next few days."
"But, can Mas Jendra, Ma? What about work, Ma? Mas Jendra can't possibly leave the company in a long time."
"Jendra can handle everything, Mel. Be calm! You trust everything to your husband."
Meanwhile, in the living room, Jendra and his papa are engaged in a serious conversation.
"How, Pa? Already?" jendra asked after confirming the two women had entered the room.
Surendra has been looking for information on the problems that are happening in the Melani family. He had indeed heard the news of the impostor*nuhan. But, because communication and information technology is not as sophisticated as it is today, the news is not so clear.
"Papa has found out about Mirza Andrean's family."
"And the only information you can have is about conception*nuhan. And of those two families, the only survivor was a woman whose whereabouts were kept secret."
"He's Melani's mother, Pa."
"The culprit was sentenced to mat*" his father continued.
"Then, are there any of their descendants left, especially from this Mirza family, Pa?"
"You want to know about them?"
Jendra nodded weakly. "Do they own the company too, or not?"
"Papa thinks there is no, because the contested company is already bankrupt."
Jendra took a long breath. "At least, Melani is safe. Because from Gayatri's grandmother's story, Melani is the heir to the company."
"I'm just afraid, if at any time we bring Melani's mother, and someone recognizes her, and then wants to do the same thing as 30 years ago, at least our position is stronger and we can protect them both."
"Papa Rasa, it's enough our family knows. For the good of both of them, Jend."
Jendra agreed. For some reason, he felt that this was a fate arranged so neatly by the Creator.
He married Melani for a short time after she accepted him as a life partner. They also take a vacation in this city. And when he wanted to find out about Melani's family, the truth opened up as clearly as this.
What happens if he doesn't marry Melani? They will definitely not go on a honeymoon here. And maybe Melani will never know who her real mother is.
Jendra went into the room when Jenar was out of his room. Jenar asked him to accompany his wife who was thinking a lot.
"Crying again, hem?" ask Jendra to Melani.
Melani laughed without a sound. "No," he said a lie. Not crying? It might be because her tears had even fallen without her asking.
"Don't lie, your eyes are red, Mel."
"This is the rest of it, Mas."
Jendra sat leaning against the headboard of the bed. He pulled Melani in his arms. He rubbed his wife's hair.
"Don't be too much of a thought, not good for newlyweds who are on a new human-making program."
Melani laughs. He could feel Jendra's chin clinging to the top of his head. He put his hand in Jendra's stomach.
"Hopefully we can catch up with Kayla and Mr. Kalandra soon."
Jendra nodded. "I hope so too, my dear! But, it's okay if it hasn't been given by God."
"At least you enjoy this happiness."
"You have everyone who loves you."
"But, about my father, Mas."
"Saturday!" Jendra rubbed Melani's arm and clasped the body tightly.
"Just pray, may he be given the best possible place by God's side."
Both were silent for a long time. Melani agreed with what Jendra said. Praying for them is the best thing.
"Four crossed my mind, Mom. Can I repay that man?"
Jendra rubbed Melani's head. "For what?"
"To dirty your hands?"
"After all, the culprit has been given a sentence of mat*, dear."
"But I feel unfair to me, Mom. He ruined my life just because of his greed."
"And he has earned the right reward. He can no longer live with his family. Though perhaps his original purpose, he wanted all the wealth to be given to him to make his family happy."
Melani shrugged her shoulders. "Mas, isn't my father very handsome?" he asked as he remembered his father's face even though it was only from a worn-out photograph.
Jendra. "certain. His daughter is beautiful like this."
Melani laughs. "I'm pretty?" She looked at her husband with her head up.
"Yes, if not, how could I fall in love."
Melani hugged her husband tightly. "Thank you for marrying me because it finally allowed me to meet my real mother, Mas."
"A hope I never expected to become a reality is impossible for me."
"You know, honey. She's a great woman who doesn't even think about her safety to save you."
"He could have brought you in his arms at the time of the incident."
"But then it's not certain that you two will survive."
"He asked Grandma Gayatri's husband to protect you, sound you, or maybe leave you to someone."
"You're right, Mas. He even pretended to mengikhlaskat*ianku whose body was not found just so that I was not sought again."
"If anyone had known I was alive, I would still have been targeted, Mom."
Jendra nodded. "God's plan is the best, baby."
