The Light of ANAS

The Light of ANAS
I'm Not Worth It For Anyone

Late in the afternoon, a handsome man with almond eyes, his nose pointed, his lips thin and fair-skinned, was driving a Ferrary California down an urban street with a beaming smile.

I don't know what made him so happy. If only anyone saw, it might be possible to question his own smile-like sanity for no reason.

His smile stopped when his flat object let out a cry asking to be paused. Then paired his Hands free Bluetooth Speaker to his right ear.

“Hallo, Assalamu’alaikum, Ar “, greet the people across there.

“ Wa’alaikumsalam, And…. Why Lo? do you miss me again? Just 15 minutes apart." Arfin laughed mockingly at his best friend.

“My life .. This is your dirty shirt in my room and it's been mobbed by ants ." Dandy informs Arfin of the fate of the victim's shirt salting (mistake).

“Yaelah, Dan.. please wash dong, that's because it was also lo adek.” Arfin only remembered if it turned out his shirt was missing.

“Oh yes, bye... assalamu’alaikum ....".Dandy ended their phone call.

“ Wa’alaikumsalam,” the answer is brief.

“Gosh .. The Dandy called just a report of a shirt swarming with ants, you putty." Arfin spoke to himself because he was upset to not finish thinking about the behavior of his best friend.

Finally the man, who was about 185 cm tall, arrived at his office, then rushed in and asked one of the security staff to park his car. Arfin entered the elevator and pressed the number 12 button.

Ting ...

The elevator sounds indicating that it has arrived at its destination and the door is opened automatically. Also called elevator.

Arfin walked by pressing his right leg while his left leg was slightly dragged, then entered his study.

The first thing he did was look for the whereabouts of his briefcase, because after lunch with his client he left it to his secretary to be kept in his study. It turned out that his briefcase was stored on his proud chair.

Arfin took his briefcase and sat down. He opened the bag and looked for something.

“This is it,” he said issued a book smaller than Siddu's notebook with a light brown cover and coated with clear plastic. Opened the book, and took a photo that was inserted there.

Arfin POVs

It turns out your name is Naz the sister of my own best friend. If I had known from the beginning, maybe I would have found you easier.

I don't know why for a few days you've been so distracting my mind, spoiling my feelings for seeing you so many times by accident.

The girl who ran into me a week ago at the airport spilled cola into my jacket.

Flashbacks

Bruck...

I bumped into someone and made me fall

"Too the road wear eyes!” my maki's on that guy without me seeing him, because my focus is on the jacket getting wet with the spilled soda water dark brown.

When I looked at him, I almost scolded him. But when our eyes met each other, it made me stay still.

"The beautiful sweet .. reminds me of someone" I murmured inwardly.

“Ma- sorry I accidentally,” he said stammered. It seemed like he was afraid to see my gaze and it was able to make me realize from my daydream.

I let out a long sigh, then I remembered the comic that I held earlier that was no longer in my grasp. It turned out that my comic was lying next to my body that was falling face to face with the girl.

I immediately picked up the light brown book with my plastic cover lying around, then stood up and rushed to the toilet to clean my jacket.

Shortly I got out of the airport after calling my invitation. I got into the car and sat down at the wheel.

I don't know what happened, the streets were so jammed like never before, because it was saturated I opened my comics for me to read. How surprised I was that an envelope was tucked away on the inside cover of the book, and I'm sure it wasn't mine.

Out of curiosity I decided to open it, and it turns out there are 8 photos of three girls and one man.

I opened up my comic book, which turned out to be the same Detective Conan comic, just different from what I read on the plane.

“ Geez, who's this? Looks like it's exchanged with mine,” murmured me in the heart.

I just realized someone has a habit like me, wrapping comics with light brown paper covers and plastic covers that I've done since High School.

After almost an hour of solid roads crept up to a total traffic jam, it finally started smoothly after an ambulance came from the opposite direction.

“Oh, the pantesan is stuck, like there was an accident Ar”, said the driver who was just busy talking on his phone.

“Hmmm, yes it seems so,” I replied while looking at one by one photos from inside the envelope.

The car stopped just in front of the dividing line because it showed a red light on.

I saw a beautiful girl wearing birel jeans with a collared pastel blouse top approaching a grandmother and being seen talking to her. Then the girl and grandmother crossed from the direction of the gas station, but the girl crossed back.

“There is still a kind young girl, it turns out she crossed just to help the grandmother,” muttered me inwardly with a smile.

“Eh, wait for the girl, like _____“ I immediately saw the photo in my hand. “Yes, it's the same girl as the one in this photo.” I smiled and shook my head.

“Ar, Lo why smile for yourself?” ask the driver who has run the car back, and he noticed me.

“Nothing, it's just that I remember something funny," I replied with a smile.

“You are like an ABG child just smiling while looking at the photo. Here try to see whose photo it is.” He tried to take a picture of my hand.

“Don't interfere, just concentrate on driving,” I said so he doesn't get pocked.

**

A week after that, I never saw the girl again and I forgot.

This afternoon after the dzuhur prayer and lunch, I went with two of my coworkers to review the location that would be our project. Large land to be used as housing development land whose place is fairly strategic.

It did not feel the time had shown at three in the afternoon, we had finished and rushed home. I did not go home with them, looking for the nearest mosque for half an hour.

I asked one of the residents where the nearest mosque was and I immediately went there which was very close it only took 10 minutes to get there.

I parked my car in the courtyard of the mosque, when I was about to get out I saw there was a building that opened the front that was not far from where I lived.

There appeared some children dressed rather mums sitting on the floor with a mat with a short long table as divided into several groups ,and there were four people in white-gray uniforms each sitting on a chair next to which was a small white board in each of the groups.

My eyes widened as my gaze fell upon one of the children in a gray white uniform sitting on the chair as if explaining something on a white board that occasionally revealed a smile from his sweet lips.

”That girl ... turns out she's a SMA” schoolgirl murmured I smiled.

I kept watching him from inside my car. Seeing her blabbering and the occasional smile burst out of her sweet lips, made me like a fool to smile at myself.

I was shocked to hear the prayer being proclaimed and I saw that they had begun to disperse, I got out of my car to enter the mosque to perform the Ashar prayer.

After finishing taking ablution, I entered the mosque, it turns out there are already five men who want to perform congregational prayer’ah.

I was standing at the very right, when it was about to begin came a man in a gray-white uniform who ran after taking ablution and stood right beside me.

After I finished performing the congregational prayer’ah, because of my free time I took the Quran for me to read.

After a while, the phone in my pants pocket shook, then I ended reading the Quran and kept the kembai into place.

I opened my phone there was a miscall and a message from Mami. As I read the contents of the message on my phone like someone was watching me, and I looked around me there was no one, no one, but the voice of the woman who was talking quietly behind the curtain between men and women.

“Ar, later if you go home please get grilled chicken and oxtail soup order Mami in The Raos Cafe ya.” That's the message from my mom.

“Hufh, why don't you just order good sih”.

I got out of the mosque and went straight into my car, when I was about to leave I saw the girl just came out of the side door of the mosque with her friend.

Arriving at the cafe's parking lot, I called Mami so that the cafeteria waiter would deliver the order to the parking lot, because I was lazy to get into the cafe .

The order was cooked impromptu so I had to wait a while. I was standing next to my car talking on the phone with Mami.

“Sorry, with Mas Arfin?” asked a man wearing black pants with a green t-shirt written The Raos came carrying two with a bag of crackles.

“Iya, I am Arfin,” I replied and terminated the phone connection.

“This Mas order on behalf of Mrs Hindayanti, all of them 345 thousand.” That guy thrust two bags of crackles at me.

I handed four hundred thousand bills to that man. “ Thanks for the order, this just take the change,” I said while opening the car door to store the package in the steering wheel side seat.

“Thanks a lot ,Mas. Excuse me,“ said the man, then he went back inside the cafe .

“Den Arfin ...” heard a man's voice from behind and patted my shoulder.

“Iya,” replied I turned my head back and frowned at me. “Pak Samsudin..” said I turned the perfect body and greeted him.

“Iya, Den ... I am Samsudin former driver Aden first,” he replied with a smile.

“How are you doing Sir? Have not seen each other for a long time ... If not wrong, last met Mr. Samsudin when I was in 2nd grade Junior High huh? Now working here Sir?” I gave him a bunch of questions.

“Hehe, thank God good Den. Aden himself how are you, healthy ? Mom, how healthy is it too? Pangling loh, I again nganter the employer's children eat here, Den“ Pak Samsudin follow the answer followed by consecutive questions.

“Don't call Aden, just call Arfin, Pak” asked him because it feels bad I'm not his master anymore.

We talked for a while beside my car. Suddenly my phone again rang there was an incoming message from Mami who asked me to go home immediately because I was hungry.

I said goodbye to Mr. Samsudin, and I gave him some money he had refused but I still forced him.

“Aduh nak Arfin, do not bother this way, I so not good.” Mr. Samsudin returned it to me.

“Gak what sir, I used to borrow money often if you want to join the motorbike race is short of money. This is just a little ko for snacks Bilqis.” I keep pushy and remember he had a baby named Bilqis.

Finally, after the forced-force show was over, I bailed back home and got into my car. When turning on the starter.

"Kok I feel like I'm seeing that girl again? argh, what the fuck is this ... Why am I hallucinating like this?” I drove my car home soon.

**

The next day, as I was about to leave for the office I got a short message.

Dandy

“Bro, if there is free time stop by the house, Mommy already miss the same lo."

I

“oke, change can be set."

Geez, I forgot I haven't seen my mom since I got home from America. Mother is like my own mother, she is always there when I need an opinion or support. Even when I was really in a bad state he was always in the front guard for me.

I went back to my room to pick up something I bought in America as a hand for her that I kept in my godie bag.

At 10 I had a meeting with a client accompanied by my secretary at a restaurant that turned out to be in the direction of the road to Dandy's house.

After the meeting I felt that there was free time, I decided to visit Dandy House and make an appointment with Hardi. While my secretary, Dewi returned to the office to take an online taxi and bring me my briefcase.

I drove my car at medium speed. Suddenly it felt strange, I thought maybe the tires were flat, and I parked my car to the side of the road..

I saw one by one the tires of my car with a little crouching, it turned out fine. There was a sound of people running around, who knows what they were doing.

Plukk .. There was something soft and there was a soft part of it landed on my face and fell into my chest.

“Eughh, what is this? There's no way that animal poop can be this big and it's sweet” I muttered while wiping my face, which turned out to be the butter of a colorful cake.

“Woyy, who throws cookies carelessly?“ I cried out in annoyance, and I saw someone standing with his mouth covered with both hands wearing a batik suit in his gray skirt, I was sure it was a schoolboy.

The boy turned right and fled

“Woyy, don't run away you brash kid!!” I yelled annoyed, instead of him apologizing and ran away.

Since I couldn't catch up to him who had run far, I decided to get into the car and continue my journey to Dandy's house. Arriving there, I immediately entered and it turns out Hardi had arrived first.

“Hallo, bosque ... How are you today?" Hardi greeted me on the porch laughing at me.

“According to what you see, Mr. Lecturer ...” I replied annoyed, because it must be my appearance was embarrassing and we went inside the house.

“Wihh, how do you do abis? why is that a mess, bro?" asked Dandy who was waiting in the guest room.

“It looks like he's slamming the steering wheel into a cake tart." Hardi even mocked me.

“Your silence ... And, a ride to the toilet and all clothes pinjem," I said and then went to the toilet to clean my face. I rushed to Dandy's room which was certainly no stranger to me.

I came back in Dandy's shirt which I picked up just from his wardrobe, sat in the largest guest chair and turned my back to the direction from the entrance. I told them about the bad things that happened to me, and they all laughed at me with pleasure.

Suddenly someone opened the door and said hello. And it turns out that it was Dandy's sister Naz with her friend who had just returned home from school.

The two approached us in the living room, and Dandy was about to introduce his sister to me. I stood up from my seat and turned my body.

How surprised I was to see one of them was that girl, the girl who had been disturbing my sanity for a few days was actually in front of me holding a light brown book.

I watched from top to bottom, it turned out that he was also the kid who threw the cake in my face earlier.

“You..?” it just came out of my mouth and he was just as surprised.

I don't know what he said because it was so slow while crying maybe because of shame and feeling guilty.

“You, you were the one who threw my face with a tart?” many ensure.

“Hehe, ma ma sorry Brother, I was accidentally” he replied stammeringly with his face that was pseudo red and made him bow down embarrassed.

Sontak made Hardi and Dandy kepo and even teased the two of us. Especially after I said that he also spilled cola drinks on my jacket while at the airport a week ago.

He grumbled softly while looking down and all I heard was the word mouse.

“What ? now you even want me a rat?” I said to lure him straight in the face, and yes it worked.

“Eng no, I don't think of big brother rat ko." He raised his head that had been bowed, we looked at each other.

I don't know what possessed me, wanting to keep looking at each other like this. But it didn't last long because her friend Ruby teased us.

Eventually the two girls joined us, sitting in the guest chair. Luckily Ruby was sitting in a chair that only fit one person, while Naz was sitting next to me.

My heart feels like beating because occasionally glancing at him who looks awkward makes us feel misbehaved. Especially when we all ate the tart cake that Ruby brought, I looked at the pieces of my cake to make sure there was no cheese, because I was allergic to cheese.

“Ar, ko lo cake not eaten? Don't-don't you still traumatize the cake yeah,” Dandy's teasing speech made Naz choke. I helped him get a drink from the table in front of us, the three of them became more and more so continued to tease us.

Surely it made us more misbehavior, and Naz finally decided to go to his room on the grounds that he would do the task with his friend.

Off Flashback.

“I don't know why this strange feeling can just appear, Naz “ He said while looking at a photo of Naz who was smiling.

“Is this love? or is it just a sense of admiration for you, because I realize I am not worthy of anyone” As soon as Arfin's smile faded and just stared at the photo of Naz with sadness.
