Madam No Man

Madam No Man
CHAPTER 91

Three months later.

Sherina looked at the burly back of her husband, who was currently standing behind her. The man seemed enthusiastic about following the directions his personal doctor gave him.

Her husband's legs tried to step, with the pedestal of the stick next to his hand.

"The development has been very rapid, sir. I am sure, Mr. Marvin will soon be able to return to normal walking. One of my messages, do not forget the medicine and vitamins I have given."

Marvin nodded his head and was still trying to step up. She looked at Sherina who was sitting on the sofa, who was currently staring at her with her gaze.

"If my husband is confident that he can walk without a cane, can I call the doctor?" asked Sherina as she got up from her seat.

"Of course you can, ma'am. I will also continue to monitor Mr. Marvin's foot development ahead of his recovery." Marvin looked at the wife who was currently standing next to him.

The mother-of-one really felt grateful for the progress that happened to her husband. At least what her husband has been working on for three months is paying off.

Starting from not smoking, routine physiotherapy, learn to move his legs even without the supervision of a doctor, and also go abroad to do treatment with more sophisticated technology.

"Okay, I'll excuse you first. If anything happens to Mr. Marvin, do not hesitate to contact me." said the man with the snail, who not long after, immediately exit Marvin's house.

Marvin kisses Sherina's forehead, after the departure of his personal doctor. She truly felt grateful for what Sherina had done to her all this time.

"Honey. Thanks for everything. I promise, I'll recover soon. We'll go to the park, with our daughter later." Sherina turned her gaze and looked at the husband.

The woman smiled warmly as she stroked her husband's arm. "It should have been if I did, Vin. You're my husband. Whatever happens to you, it's my responsibility."

Marvin smiled at his wife. He rubbed Sherina's head, before suddenly the sound of her house bell rang.

"Eh, there's a guest. Wait a minute" Sherina said, leaving her husband and walking to the door of her house.

Not long after, Sherina re-entered and followed where her husband was. The brown envelope in Sherina's hands, managed to make Marvin feel curious.

"Darling, what are you carrying?" marvin asked as soon as Sherina sat next to him.

Sherina held her breath for a while, before thrusting the brown envelope at her husband.

"Letter from the religious court." Sherina answered without looking at her husband's eyes.

Marvin's body stiffened immediately. The man's heart seemed to stop beating, with his shocked gaze. He looked at the wife who did not dare to look at him at all.

The woman lowered her head, and closed her eyes for a moment. His heart seemed to be slashed with a sharp knife when he received the letter.

"Sherina.." call Marvin in a choked voice.

There was a sense of tightness that was so overwhelming, when staring at the envelope. What's his wife doing? Why did he go so far, even without any conversation with her.

"What are you doing? Why are you doing this, Sher? So big a mistake I made, that you wanted to sacrifice our marriage?"

Sherina lowered her head even more to hear her husband's words.

"Listen to me first" said Sherina Lirih as she stared at her husband's red eyes.

"What should I listen to? You want to bring up all my mistakes? All the sins I ever committed, before? Before you say it, let me say it."

"I know I'm guilty. But this is not how we solve it. I don't want to part with you, Sher. Ilove you. I don't want a divorce with you." Marvin tightened his jaw, when he felt that his chest was getting tight.

"Listen to my explanation first. I beg you, Vin."
