CHAPTER 118

Marvin had just finished feeding his two little daughters. He will start getting used to doing so, as long as his wife is still in the hospital.

"All right, it's done now. I'll take you to school. Give your sister a kiss first" Marvin said as he picked up Ailey's pink bag and stroked her daughter's head.

He smiled faintly, with tired eyes that highlighted the innocent manner of his little princess. His sturdy hands turned to stroke the small body of Niskala who was still lying on the bed.

"Father and sister stay first, honey. Do not forget to pray for your mother to come home quickly. I love you, dear." Marvin switched to niskala first which made the three-year-old boy kiss his sister's puffed cheek.

"Let's go!" Marvin holds Ailey's body and takes her out.

When he arrived in the living room, Marvin was a little surprised when he saw the arrival of Ivander and Anne. The man stared in surprise at Anne who was walking closer to him, with Kanwa in her arms.

"When did you come back? I'm glad you're back" asked Marvin, who was immediately greeted with a warm smile from the woman.

"This morning. I just finished and went straight here. How are you doing? I'm sorry about what happened to Sherina." Anne stroked Ailey's back in her father's arms.

"Thank you. Oh yeah, come in. Niskala was in her room. I had to take Ailey to school first" said Marvin, who made Anne look at Ivander for a while.

"No need, let me take this little Marvin to school. You guys talk, take your time." Marvin immediately gave his daughter to Ivander who had opened both arms and prepared to carry the little girl.

Anne stared at the burly back of a man who was walking away from her to deliver Marvin's first child. He steps his foot into Niskala's room, following Marvin who directs him.

"Hi aunt. I'm fresh..." Marvin picks up his daughter and shows it to Anne.

The woman who was already anxious with the little girl in Marvin's arms, immediately took over from the father, after putting Kanwa in the middle of the bed.

"Among all the babies I've ever met, to be honest only Niskala is so charming. Look, his nose really duplicates your nose. His face is very similar to his mother's. Absolutely beautiful." praised Anne very anxiously, which made Marvin's warm smile appear on her aunt.

Anne was silent for a while, staring at the beautiful face of the boy who was currently in her arms.

"He asked you to come back?" Marvin sat on the bed, and looked at Anne who was still standing with her daughter in her cradle.

"The last time Sherina told me Ivander was divorced, and took care of Kanwa alone. Actually, I had doubts, whether the man can really work with Nessie to take care of Kanwa or not. But in fact I can't feel indifferent when I find out that Sherina's in a coma."

Marvin sighed when reminded of the condition of his wife who was in the hospital. He lowered his head for a moment, and exhaled his breath so deeply.

"One month. I don't know why I'm afraid of the doctor's diagnosis. I don't even know what to do when Sherina's left for that long. I have two daughters, they need them." Marvin said in a stifled tone.

Anne, who knew how Marvin was feeling, patted the shoulder of the man she thought was her brother.

"There's me. I'll help you take care of your adorable girls. Don't consider me someone else, I'm your sister. You forgot that?" Marvin smiles for a moment and remembers how much Anne sacrificed for her relationship with Sherina.

The woman did not even feel fed up with all the questions she had asked about Sherina's condition and her content. He never even made Sherina feel disappointed with all her attitude.

"I'm actually happier if he's healthy and doesn't pay too much attention to me, because of the kids. Than to see it like this. I'm desperate, Ann." Marvin can never hide how he felt when he was with Anne. This woman is reliable in many ways.

Anne can't do much. He could only give words of encouragement like he usually did. Both of them can actually provide considerable feedback after meeting again.

Not long after, Ivander returned and decided to go to the hospital. As she had planned with Anne, they finally left together.

Ivander, who woke up in the middle of the night, walked out of the room and was shocked to see Anne still sitting in front of the television with the lights turned off.

The woman was seen staring blankly at the television in front of her, with the tight hugs she gave her on both knees.

Slowly Ivander approached and sat down next to the woman who was not even aware of his arrival. For a moment the man watched Anne, and leaned on her back on the couch.

"Want to say something?"
