CHAPTER 17

Ivander spoke very little with Nessie. The man prefers to avoid activities that would likely lead him to meet with Nessie.

It's different with Sherina. The woman who was having lunch with her office friend, was daydreaming staring out the window in front of her.

"My choice wasn't wrong, was it? That's all I can do." While stirring her coffee, Sherina lowered her head.

"You're right, Rin. Want to be flanked, you are entitled to your household. He's your husband, and you're his legal wife." The beautiful girl sitting next to Sherina, strongly agreed with her best friend's plan.

"But why should we get married? Wouldn't it be that in that way, you would automatically give the woman a chance to get closer to your husband?"

True, by getting married, automatically her husband will always be close to her secretary. But, Sherina had already thought through everything so thoroughly.

"That was my last attempt, Nad. I can see if over the next few months my husband can change or not. Thank goodness Ivander could wake up, but if he doesn't then I don't want to have to give up."

Sherina smiled faintly as she imagined that her husband could be resuscitated. That would be the happiest thing for him.

"You're a very strong woman, Rin. You can do it" said Nadine trying to encourage her best friend.

"But if I see, that woman is no better than you. I've seen his face" Nadine eats her lunch while continuing her chat with Sherina.

In the afternoon, Sherina who had just returned home from the office frowned when she saw another car parked in her yard. "Are you Ivander's guests?"

Not wanting to guess, Sherina immediately entered the house. Sherina, who had been curious about who came to her house, immediately rotated her eyes when she found out that her husband's lover had come to the house.

"You're home yet?" ivander asked who immediately pulled his arm from Nessie's waist.

Sherina only nodded once and walked towards her room. Ivander stared at Sherina's back covered by the woman's straight brown hair.

"Can you sit for a minute, over here?" ivander asked again, which made Sherina turn her head.

"After I take a shower" Sherina replied, continuing to step on her legs.

Ivander just nodded and smiled at Sherina's reply.

After a while, Sherina returned downstairs with the phone in her hand. The woman sat across from Ivander and Nessie who were watching television.

"What do you want to talk about?" asked Sherina who was immediately greeted with deheman from the man.

"I'll talk to you" interrupted Nessie who was only responded with a flat face by Sherina.

"Is it true what Ivander said? You're asking us to get married?" Nessie asked that with great enthusiasm.

Sherina nodded while bending her elbows over her thighs. "Right, are you happy?"

Nessie who had been too happy was immediately staring at Sherina with her flat face. He looked at Ivander who was also staring at him with a flat gaze.

"No, I'm just making sure. Don't you think, honey?" nessie answered slightly stiffly as she hugged Ivander's arm.

Sherina was acting ordinary when she saw that. "What your lover said is all true. You just follow the game."

Nessie shriveled when she heard what Sherina said. The woman blinked in confusion as she looked at Sherina and Ivander.

"Last this week you also prepared your passport and visa. We're going to Canada" Sherina said, staring at Ivander and Nessie in turn.

Nessie nodded obediently. It is different with Ivander. The man looked at Sherina with a meaningful look. He saw something Sherina was holding.

As Ivander was about to talk more with his wife, Sherina's cell phone rang. The woman stared at the screen of her phone and instantly her smile expanded.

"The lef?" she cried so happily, while receiving a call from the man named Diko.

"The diko?! How are you?!" greet Sherina first who immediately made Ivander look at him with a sharp gaze.

"I'm good, Rin. How are you, hm?" replied the man so happily.

"You guys go on, I gotta go." Sherina, who wants to talk a lot with Diko, decides to leave in front of her husband and her lover.

Nessie who saw the difference in reaction from the married couple before her, only nodded her head in response to what Sherina said.

Ivander stared at the passing of his wife who was currently walking towards the porch of the house. The man's jaw suddenly tightened as he imagined what the two close friends were talking about.

"What's wrong with you? Why do you keep staring at that woman?!" Nessie, furious that Ivander had been staring at Sherina outside, turned Ivander's head violently.

"Don't touch me! And don't get too involved in my business!" ivander snapped and immediately got up from his seat.

The man stepped up his legs to go up. For some reason, someone burned his heart when he saw Sherina receiving a call from another man.

"I won't let that baj*ngan guy get close to Sherina!"
