Anne's body stiffened instantly, after hearing Ivander's vague speech.
What are they talking about? Honestly, Anne is curious, but the truth is not to interfere in the problems of others who do not need her at all.
With a chest that felt like it was being pressed firmly, the woman immediately went and entered the room. He sat on the lip of the bed, letting his children play.
"What is Ivander being betrothed to? Is there something wrong with me?" Anne wondered if there was anything less than her.
While down there, Ivander seemed to be stirred by emotions after hearing the words of the father who asked him to marry the son of one of his business partners.
"Please listen to your explanation first. Papa did this too because there's a reason, not to suddenly ask you to marry another woman." Papa Ivander was a little surprised when he heard the snaps of his son.
Ivander chuckled at his papa's words. The man shook his head, and was completely inexhaustible with what both of his parents were planning.
"Enough Ivander's household with Sherina is destroyed by the interference of mama and papa. For this time, let Ivander choose Ivander's own life." The man said sternly, which still did not make his papa change his mind.
"Can't! You have to do this for our company. For the future of your descendants!" Unwilling to be resisted, the man still continued to hold fast to his decision.
"Iwana... Listen to your papa's explanation first. We do this because we have thought about it carefully. And to make things clear, you can bring Anne here, too. To make things more transparent and no one will feel unappreciated, here."
"No! Don't bring Anne into this matter! There was nothing he needed to know from such a small matter, Ma, Pa! He's sacrificed enough for Ivander's life to be ruined!" Ivander remains in his position. She did not want Anne to think about this, which she did not even want to discuss.
"Listen to Ivan, Ma, Pa. Ivan will do his best for our company. What you said was no big deal. Ivan can handle it." The man tries to convince both of his parents, and tries to reject both of his parents' crazy requests.
"Don't joke, Van. The threat he's given will be enough to overwhelm us. Papa had tried to find another option, but he still did not want to. He only wants you to marry his only daughter." Papa Ivander really can't budge. He continued to force his son to accept the matchmaking business.
"Pa, Ivander still owns another company. The shares that Ivander shares in some companies are also not small in number. So give Ivander time to think things through. Papa just needs to be patient and trust Ivander."
Mama Ivander could only sigh. He was really confused who to side with. On the one hand, he did not want his son's life to fall apart just because he was the only child in his family. But given how the family company is at stake, it makes the woman even more confused.
"Vane..."
"Papa could pawn the life and happiness of the son of papa, for the sake of treasure? Papa thinks Ivander can't deliver a company as great as the one you own?"
And yes, the man finally gave up. He said Ivander had the right to choose whatever it was. But stick to his decision, if it can't then the option of getting married is what to take rather than losing all his future assets.
After the departure of her parents to the room, Ivander immediately went upstairs. Anne and her children entered the room first.
The man opened the door slowly, and saw a woman sitting at the end of the bed. Stare blankly at children playing.
He walked over, and closed the door so slowly. He stood next to Anne, and stroked the top of the woman's head.
Anne raised her head, and only showed a faint smile. However, the words that Ivander and his parents said managed to make the woman think over and over again.
"What's wrong? Why daydream, hm?" ask the man, and sit next to Anne.
Anne did not reply, she just lowered her head and kept thinking about what she had been thinking since.
"Vana... I've thought about it. And-"
"Not intentionally heard?" ivander's whispers were not answered by Anne.
"We'll talk about it tonight. Don't think too much." Ivander stroked Anne's back and kissed her forehead so gently.
"Can I get a casual dress for me? I'm not going back to the office." Ivander flung his body into the bed, and hugged Anne's small waist from behind.
Ivander hid his face for a moment on the woman's small back, and inhaled its aroma deeply. "Don't stay with me, Ann? I'll try as much as I can."
In the afternoon, Sherina who had just returned from the office passed Marvin who had also just arrived home. The man immediately got out of the car and looked at Sherina for a moment, before finally going inside the house earlier than the woman.
Sherina is a little confused by Marvin's attitude. But since he didn't want to get dizzy, he just sniffed his shoulders indifferently, and walked his feet inside the house.
The woman walked into her room above, just to pick up her casual clothes. And again he had to cross paths with Marvin who had just finished coming out of the bathroom.
"Sherina, I want to talk to you for a moment" said the man blocking Sherina's path, which made the woman before him breathe out slowly.
"Vin, I'm tired. You know I just got home, right? So please, don't bother me first." said Sherina flatly, then stepped out of Marvin's presence and immediately took her shirt.
The woman rushed out of her room, and as much as possible intended to avoid Marvin under any circumstances.
Sherina washed her face with cold water and stared at the reflection of her face in the large mirror before her. Unable to lie, the woman cried and closed her eyes for a while.
He's tired like this. He knew this was all nothing but his logic that kept demanding that he do all this. But not with his heart. As long as he spent time with the man, he would not be able to just silence him.
"What should I do?" Sherina lowered her head and let her tears continue to fall.
The woman was so engrossed in her world that she didn't realize Marvin was going into the bathroom and staring at her from behind. He stared for a long time, but the man could not hold it anymore.
He pulled Sherina's body and held her so tightly. That fear really spread so quickly throughout his veins. He closed his eyes and continued to reassure her that this wife would be with him forever.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to be like this. I need you, Sher." Marvin said in a very heavy voice.
The man hid his face in the recess of the wife's neck, and did not hesitate to show her tears and tears in front of Sherina. He was truly sorry for all the mistakes he had made.
"You said you loved me, didn't you? But why are you doing this? I'm sick when you keep quieting me like this." Marvin was crying again at his wife's door.
It's different with Sherina. She felt numb to everything her husband did to her. All he had in mind was, what was done by Marvin was solely for the shield so that he did not look wrong and forgiven.
"Who said it? I don't love you. I hate you."
Sherina tried to take off her husband's tight hug that was on her body. But his power that was not comparable to that of the man made him only able to resign.
"I'll do whatever you want. Whatever it is." Marvin took his wife's shoulder as the focus of his chin, and kissed her so warmly.
"If you stop working. And stay home. I don't want you to work anymore. Stay home and take care of our children. I beg you," added Marvin and immediately greeted with a light laughter Sherina.
"Wow.so I have to be at home, have no income and can either count on you or not in the future. While you're free to go to the office and meet anyone? You're very sneaky, yeah."
Marvin pulled his body and gave no expression as he looked at Sherina. He took his hand off Sherina's body, and carried it into her pants pocket.
"alright. Do everything you want. I can't ban it, and I can't be angry about it. In fact, I was the one who failed in educating my own wife." Marvin smiled cunningly, which Sherina immediately responded to.
"Oh, of course it's your fault! You failed to educate your wife because you were too focused on your old love. And that's what's right!"
Not waiting long, Sherina immediately left in front of Marvin. He held back his anger and rushed out of the house.
No one wanted his family to be as messy as it is today. But what's okay, Sherina can't just give in and act like she's forgotten everything that's happened to her over the years.
Just as he opened the door, the woman's steps came to a halt. He froze when he saw someone standing in the doorway, with large parcels in both hands.
"Sir Kevin?"
