Anne took care of Ivander so painstakingly, and completed all her homework fairly. After all, Anne, who had just finished feeding Kanwa lunch, took the boy to Ivander's room.
"You're full, hm? Look how big your body is now..." Anne kisses Kanwa on the cheek and opens Ivander's room door.
Ivander, who was still focused on his phone because he had a little work, immediately turned his eyes and looked at the arrival of the son. The man's warm smile expanded, as Anne carried Kanawa and sat on the end of the mattress.
"Bored? I brought you this adorable doll." Anne sat Kanwa in front of her father, whom Ivander greeted immediately.
"It turns out you've been this big" said Ivander, then kissed his son's puffed cheek.
Anne put Kanwa's bottle of milk on the table next to Ivander's bed, intending to leave the man's room. But not yet had his legs moved, Ivander first stopped him.
"Where are you going?" ivander asked gently, which made Anne turn her head.
"There's a job I haven't finished yet. I brought your son here so I could do it for a while." Anne turned her back to face Ivander, who was holding her son.
"Do later. Be sitting. You must be tired of having to take care of Kanwa and do your homework. Not to mention you also have to take care of me." Ivander hinted for Anne to sit opposite him, on the same bed as him.
"no need. I'll finish it first," Anne refused so subtly, hoping that she wouldn't get caught up in the awkward atmosphere with the man, after last night's original talk.
"This is not an offer, but an order. So sit down." Not wanting to be denied her request, the man interrupted Anne to comply.
Anne restrained herself for a while, before finally deciding to obey Ivander. Seeing Kanwa crawling straight towards Anne, Ivander shook her head slowly and leaned her body on the headboard.
"He's not even interested in his dad anymore. It's always you who's looking for it" Ivander said with a deep look at Anne.
Anne did not acknowledge Ivander's words. The woman simply lowered her head and looked at the small hand of Kanwa playing on her lap.
Ivander did not take his gaze away from Anne. He smiled faintly for a moment and cleared his throat for a moment. A little awkward for them at the moment. If only the handsome boy did not chatter adorable, rest assured that the two would die stiff because there was no chatter.
"If I were to be selfish and ask you to continue taking care of Kanwa until she grows up, what would you do?" Ivander still leaned over her body and asked Anne in a relaxed tone that impressed her deeply.
Anne exhaled for a moment, and stroked Kanwa's small back. He nodded his head for a moment, then glanced at something that had always been on his mind since this morning.
"Don't answer this as if you're talking to your boss. Consider me someone else, and just answer honestly." Ivander knew the woman's habits, so he first took the initiative to tell Anne.
"Honestly, I was forced to take this job offer from you again yesterday. It can even be counted how many days I can sleep by hugging my son's little body. But I finally decided to leave him, and go back here." Anne endured the heat that began to strike her eyes.
"Right, Marvin and Sherina have been helping me a lot all this time. But it would be even more disinclined if I continued to accept their help, whereas now Sherina is not okay."
Ivander was completely expressionless when he heard Anne's explanation. The man's jaw slightly hardened, waiting for more explanation from the shoulder-haired woman before him.
"Then your son?" Only two words came out of Ivander's lips.
"I left it with my foster mother. I believe he can fit in, at least I did all this for him. And yes, I promised to go home as soon as things got better." Anne smiled and nodded her head, and looked at Ivander who was also looking at her with a gaze she could not understand.
"Get him, today. Don't let him lack the affection of both his parents." Ivander seriously looked at Anne's two eyes that looked slightly doubtful.
"No need, I'm sure he'll be fine. He's-"
"All right, I'll get us a plane ticket. Tell your mother to get everything ready, we leave tomorrow morning." As if he did not want to be denied, Ivander continued to be pushy.
"no need. I promise to do my job without being distracted by my son's thoughts. Trust me, I'll preach it or do whatever it is about it on holidays. I'm not gonna mess up the job"
"Married to me."
Anne froze when she heard Ivander's words. He stared at those two black eyes, with his heart that felt like it had stopped beating.
"Married to me. I can't keep you going like this." Ivander asked in such a deep tone, for Anne.
"I beg you not to refuse me. You know I love you. You know how much I need you in my life and my son. But I can't keep acting like this either. I know you miss your son, you really want to be with him. So do me and Kanwa." Somehow it felt, suddenly the tears of the woman dripped involuntarily.
"Let's start it all together. I promise to be a good husband and father to both. I'll do whatever you want." Ivander, who had been erecting his body, tried to hold Anne's delicate hand.
Anne regained her senses from her shock, and sighed a little nervously. He smiled slightly, and considered what he had just heard to be an illusion.
He smiled slightly towards Ivander who was still looking at him seriously, and loosened his shoulders.
"Don't rush. You can take a breath first." Anne slapped Ivander's hand, holding her hand, and got up with the Kanwa she was carrying.
The woman left Ivander looking at her with a very foreign look. The man laughed for a moment and shook his head.
"I didn't think I'd get two rejections in the near future."
