The pregnant mother tried to catch Ivander who had disappeared behind the corridor wall. After making a turn, the woman suddenly stopped when she saw Ivander sitting at the edge of the stairs.

What makes the woman surprised is not because the circumstances of the husband are so alarming. But because of the man standing right next to her husband.
