Madam No Man

Madam No Man
CHAPTER 85

Sherina raised her hand and rubbed the corner of her husband's lips that looked sewn. He pulled his thumb as Marvin grimaced with the pain.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have called you and worried you. I should have controlled myself." Sherina lowered her hand while looking at the husband.

Marvin shook his head. He clasped his wife's hand and sighed slowly, "I should be the one apologizing. I shouldn't have left, as I said."

The two had a small talk before Anne came in and said Marvin had to leave.

"I'm going for a second. You're fine here" said Marvin, stroking Sherina's cheek and turning to the princess.

Sherina just smiles and nods her head while waiting for Marvin and Anne to leave.

Marvin's surgery was declared successful, by a doctor who had just come out of the operating room.

The three, who had been waiting for Marvin's leg bone surgery, walked back to the hospital room, waiting for further news of Marvin's surgery development.

"It's a no-brainer to ask for help from me or Anne, if you've arrived home later," Ivander said, which really made Sherina feel bad.

"Van, I've been troubling you a lot with Anne all this time." Sherina replied in a bad tone, and it made Ivander cluck.

"Sher, you're what I consider my sister. And Marvin, he's been my best friend since childhood. So no troublesome words for me."

Ivander's words were reinforced by the justification Anne said. "Rin, after all the two of you really don't have anyone else but me and Ivander. At least we are the closest to your home. So if at any time you need our help, we'll be here soon." His words were followed by a nod of the head from Sherina.

"Well, I say a lot of thanks to you two. I'm sorry if in the future I will trouble you both more" Sherina said with sincerity.

"Oh yeah, speaking of Marvin's son you said yesterday. What are you gonna do? Are you gonna talk to Marvin straight away?" ivander asked, which made Sherina turn her head full, to the man.

"I don't think I'm going to rush to talk to Marvin about this. In any case, he had to completely return to his healthy state. And at least I'll give myself time to accept everything. It's not easy for me to really accept the fact, if my husband ever inspired another woman."

Ivander was immediately offended by Sherina's remarks. She recalls seeing Sherina's reaction when she found out that Nessie was pregnant with her child.

Ivander shook his head, imagining how Sherina felt when she found out that her best friend had had a child with another woman.

"But for the specifics of the steps you'll take later, will you accept the child? Or just not?" Ivander asked again, which this time left Sherina speechless for a while.

"For this I am not sure. A is still considering whether my decision to accept the child is correct or not. Because no woman, however, so easily accepts her husband's child with another woman. While he also has a baby's dependents."

Sherina paused her sentence and stared blankly ahead.

"But most likely I will still accept it. She's innocent after all, she's just like my daughter. They were present because of accident. Nothing more than an accident to help others."

Ivander stared at the beautiful face of the mother-to-be, with an indecipherable look.

"I would not have been able to live in peace, knowing that the little girl would live alone, after being abandoned by her mother. I thought, I won't be able to sleep well. You will not be able to be full even though you eat well. And I would also feel haunted because somehow she's my husband's daughter."

"He's innocent to me. I have no grudge against him either. So, there's no harm if I try to accept it."

Ivander was a little surprised to hear Sherina's reply. She was completely confused by how wide the woman's heart was, to the point that Sherina had such noble thoughts.

The man's smile rose, "How lucky is Marvin."
