Gaju - One

Gaju - One
Chapter 89 - Psycho-Kinesis

“Please confirm the purchase?”

“Confirm!” answer Gaju firmly.

Tian could only look with a resigned gaze towards Gaju. He had repeatedly convinced his soulmate to use the points they had collected to buy the items Gaju wanted, but in the end Gaju still used them for Tian as well.

Gaju took pains to collect his first 1000 points to repay the debt to the Professor, but he never regretted it for one reason, all for Tian. He still remembered how desperate and sad he was when he held Tian in his arms and he knew that Tian's life was not saved anymore.

When Professor comes and offers to save Tian, Gaju unhesitatingly welcomes him. Even if at that time Professor might ask Gaju to owe him 2000 points, Gaju would still agree.

Gaju then again collected 1000 points both of them, and just like before he used those points for Tian. Because Gaju believes in his abilities, Gaju has a greater chance of survival than Tian. He did not want to go back to feeling the loss he had experienced once. The only solution was to make Tian stronger individually in order to have a greater chance of survival.

And their choice fell on an advance called Psychic.

Psychic is a concept in which a human being is believed to be able to use his mental powers to influence real objects around him.

This mental strength is often called telekinesis. Gaju and Tian themselves had already discussed this matter before the two of them decided for Tian to take the path as a Psychic.

According to the theory they obtained from the Island. Intelligence Capability of a human can be categorized into three largest parts namely Knowledge, Memory and Analytical Capability. There are no mental power words there.

Knowledge or also called Wisdom is related to all the knowledge that has been received by someone. Be it formally through educational institutions, informally through association or even through the experience experienced by someone.

All this knowledge and experience will form an abstract concept called Knowledge in theory.

The second element that makes up the intelligence or intelligence of a human according to the theory developed by the Island is Memory. This memory deals with a person's capture power and his ability to store all the information he captures.

Everyone has different capture and memory. For example, when a test is done to several people who are shown a series of names at a certain time. Each one will give a different result.

Likewise when they are faced with certain situations in the real world. What everyone captures and remembers, even if they are faced with the same events, will be different. How much they capture and how much they remember, it is this ability that is considered a Memory concept.

The third element that makes up intelligence is analytical capability. This concept can be explained very easily. It is an abstract concept in which a person's ability to solve a problem tries to be measured systematically.

Unlike Knowledge and Memory which may be more passive in nature where a person may have it from birth as a natural talent, one's analytical skills can be trained and developed.

The more often a person faces problems, the ability of the analysis increases.

By Island, Pyschic himself is defined as someone who has a fighting style by relying on psycho-kinesis abilities.

Psycho-kinesis is the ability of a person to manipulate real objects using the power of his mind. When the object being manipulated is by moving it from afar without touching, this power is better known as telekinesis.

According to the theory developed by the Island, psycho-kinesis abilities are possessed by every human from birth. But, the ability is different for each person just like the IC and PA attributes possessed by each person.

Especially for psycho-kinesis, the more intelligent a person is, the greater his mental strength will be. But, that does not mean everyone will be able to become a psychic by itself.

In the Underworld and the Surface, strength was everything. The law of the jungle prevails and who is stronger will prey on the weaker. Therefore, all races are competing to find various methods to improve their fighting abilities.

The Human race has always led in this regard. With the technology they had, they could create a variety of weapons, armor, and serum capable of making them defend against a wide variety of races that were much stronger naturally.

Humans also try to increase the intelligence they have by creating various serums and training methods for it. Until one day, they found an extraordinary discovery while researching about human intelligence.

Intelligence Capability is an attribute possessed by every human being and is abstract or not real. Unlike the Physical Attribute that could be measured and converted directly into the benchmark parameter of one's fighting strength, ICs were completely useless in combat, and they were completely useless, besides of course as an analyst or strategist in supporting his partner.

But, in a one on one battle, without a balanced physical strength, someone who had a high IC would still be unable to resist the difference in physical attributes. Even when faced with a savage beast without any intelligence.

Until the concept of psycho-kinesis was discovered.

A person is considered a Strategist when he has an IC score above 5, but after that there is no further categorization for a Strategist. Even though on top of that score, one's IC can still develop again indefinitely.

But.

When someone has an IC score above 20 points, a miracle happens. A mysterious force began to appear and by scientists this power is called mental power. The powers that be the basis for psycho-kinesis.

At first, Gaju did not heed this theory at all. But when he saw the item called the Intelligence Enhancement Serum and its fantastic price of 900 points, his brain quickly analyzed the relationship between the two.

Under the item description, there is a line of sentences that really annoy Gaju when reading it. It says ‘Item is recommended only used by real Strategist’. Coupled with the effect of the serum being able to add a score of +5 to all the IC attributes of the wearer, Gaju believes that this item is the serum needed to become a Psychic.

Tian was also aware of that. But as many as 900 points for the serum and 100 points for the knowledge that supported his ability, Tian who knew what all this would look like would end up feeling very sad when Gaju decided to buy it.
