Chapter 21 - Concealment

"Style, where are we going to make basecamp?" tanya Tian who was running next to Gaju cheerfully.

Yup. Cheerfully, as Tian considers this elimination test to be nothing more than a walk or a picnic on the weekend.

Tian was a strategist, he could easily find a thousand and one ways to save himself in this forest. Or kill another candidate if necessary.

And the answer is very simple, traps and poisons.

Gaju smiled and looked towards Tian, "don't joke. You know the best place for our basecamp" replied Gaju.

They both know, the best place to hide them is near the water source and it is higher than the surrounding place. Two absolute conditions for defense and survival.

Shortly after, they arrived near a river that split the forest. Some wild animals immediately scattered when they saw the two 12-year-old teenagers.

Gaju walked in front and looked around.

The river looks clear water and rocks are seen at the base. Many freshwater fish swim nimbly in the river.

Water and food sources are available. Now it's time to find a place to take shelter.

Tian simply followed Gaju from behind with great attention. He deliberately let Gaju take all the decisions. During this time inside the Complex, Gaju had always been ordinary and reserved, but when they entered the forest earlier, Tian saw another figure of Gaju. Dan Tian knew the reason.

Gaju never acted half-heartedly when dealing with the safety of his life.

Gaju and Tian dashed down the river in an upstream direction. They occasionally jump on the river rocks because the edge of the river is covered with thick shrubs.

Gaju approached Tian and the girl smiled, "you should thank me," Tian said with a proud face.

Gaju glanced towards Tian then looked behind Tian. There is a cave located behind the waterfall. But the hole is small, a 12-year-old child like Gaju can not enter by standing upright.

"Good cave for our basecamp. But I think it's too small" said Gaju.

"Humph," Tian snorted angrily, "come in and see first, and see if the cave is too small or not?" continued Tian.

Gaju entered the cave by bowing his head. Arriving inside, the pitch-black condition made Gaju squint his eyes for a while. After being somewhat accustomed to the lighting conditions in the cave, Gaju can only pay attention to the conditions in the cave more freely.

Unlike his expectations, the conditions inside the cave were quite dry and not at all humid. It feels a little difficult to breathe because there is no ventilation other than the hole to enter earlier. But in general, this place can be a good spot for them.

"Where?" tian asked after Gaju came out of the cave earlier.

"Lumayan, I agree that we use the cave as a hideout. But I also want to create a backup basecamp. At least, it can be to outwit attention," replied Gaju.

"Where do you thank me?" tian said as he puffed out his still flat chest.

Gaju looked towards Tian's chest and was seen letting out a strange look. Tian's face instantly reddened when he saw Gaju glancing at his chest.

"What are you looking at??? You pervert!!" tian said as he left Gaju behind the waterfall.

Gaju just shook his head.

A little girl with brown curls and a reddish-white complexion was seen stomping her feet repeatedly to the ground.
