Chapter 49 - Shadow

Gaju and Griffin looked at each other.

The two different species again attempted to intimidate their enemies. But it only lasted a little while. Griffin who had indeed looked more violent since smelling the smell of blood from Tian earlier quickly flapped his wings and jumped towards Gaju.

"Humph, Griffin, I'm no longer afraid of you. Let's see," muttered Gaju as he shot back towards Griffin.

"Damn!! You beast," replied Gaju while looking at Griffin anxiously.

Adel who saw the terrible creature darting towards him looked shocked. He knows that he is not like Gaju who can fight against the creature one on one.

Griffin swung his right claw towards Adel who stood his back to his two comrades. Adel thought hard and was confused. If he dodged, the fate of his two comrades could be imagined.

Adel then decided to resign and accept his fate. He closed his eyes and prepared to accept Griffin's attack.

Adel still closed his eyes when he heard the loud noise but he did not feel the pain he expected. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked towards the front.

The shadow of the back of a young man standing behind him seemed to cover the monstrous figure of the creature named Griffin.

"Style.." murmured Adel with a quivering voice.

Gaju parried Griffin's right leg which had been swung towards Adel.

"Your enemy is me. Why did you divert your attack?" said Gaju while grinning.

"Once an animal remains an animal" shouted Gaju as he swung his right hand punch forward.

Buaaakk.

"Aaaggggkkkkk," Griffin let out a shouting voice as the punch hit his Eagles head.

Gaju then jumped forward and Griffin quickly retreated backwards. Both of its wings spread out and its front legs lifted. Prepare to attack Gaju and fight with this enemy he hates so much.

Gaju looked towards Griffin and smiled inwardly.

He knew that the creature was now truly wrathful. The intelligence that was only that small was now covered by emotions and the look in the eyes of the Griffin which was now purely resembling the look of an ordinary beast's eyes.

Gaju knew his chance had come.

The silvery-white needle that had been hidden in his right hand showed itself.

Griffin attacked Gaju with his front legs raised up and wings spread out sideways.

Gaju then leaped with all his might and used the Griffin's right front leg raised for a foothold, then he bounced towards the Griffin's King's head.

Griffin did not see and did not care about Gaju's right hand swinging towards his head.

He was actually intending to exchange attacks by swinging his left front leg up.

Intending to net his attack at the price of receiving Gaju's right-hand strike.

"Taste this, beast!!" shout Gaju.
