Chapter 51 - Sly Fox's

Inside the control room in the Management Complex.

"Professor, there is a Candidate who is encountering with level 3 of the creation," said a Manager to the Professor who sat behind everyone.

"Enter it into the main screen," said Professor Short.

Shortly thereafter, the largest hollogram screen in the center of the room showed a picture of four Candidates running uncontrollably down a slope at full speed.

Moments later, Griffin's figure was seen swooping down from above the sky and stopping them.

"The candidate is identified as Tian, Adel, Aju, and the Weird One" said one of the Managers.

The Professor slightly frowned at the words of the Manager.

"The Weird?" murmured the Professor in a flat tone.

"mmmmmmm. Forgive us Professor, we mean Three Seven aka Gaju," replied the Manager with a trembling voice of fear.

"You guys... You guys are too naive. Gaju is not what you think. He's sly fox. I expect a lot with the performance" said Professor.

When the Manager heard the Professor's words, he immediately fell silent and made no comment.

The room was silent again when there was a fight between Aju and Gaju versus Griffin.

They're all tense.

This is the first time, Candidates are fighting a level 3 creature on the Island.

When Aju who was the third strongest fighter on the Island was thrown and knocked unconscious, most of the Governing Body shook its head. As they expected, right now, it was too early for Candidates to fight against a level 3 class enemy.

"What is that boy trying to do?" muttered one of the Managers when he saw Gaju standing against Griffin alone.

The professor fell silent and put on a serious face.

"His fate is over," another manager timps when he sees Griffin attacking Gaju.

"Movement from Tian!!" shouted the other Manager trying to attract the attention of his colleagues.

And all of the Governing Body went silent again when Tian received a fatal attack from Griffin for protecting Gaju.

The sound of breaths rang out as Tian crashed backwards.

The professor stood up from his chair when that happened.

"Analysis of injuries received by Tian! Prepare Advanced Medical Treatment procedure immediately!" professor's orders quickly.

The Managers who received the Professor's orders immediately did so.

"The fatality rate that Tian suffered was 93%," a Manager replied in a trembling voice.

"Humphs. Enable AMT. Standby and wait for me!" said Professor.

Advanced Medical Treatment is a procedure for handling fatal injuries owned by the Island. From the beginning, the island is equipped with super-advanced medical facilities to handle the level of severe injuries that are near death or fatality.

Provided that the Candidate has no injuries or injuries that are beyond medical reach such as a severed head or a heart pierced by a sword, there is still a possibility to be saved by this procedure.

But, AMT is not prepared for Candidates for free. In the list of items that can be exchanged for points, AMT occupies the highest level along with several other items that are crucial for survival.

And price? It's fantastic, 500 points.

But, when compared to its usefulness that resembles a resection or a revival from the possibility of death, the price of half of the points obtained by slaughtering the level 2 creation was very decent.

"Candidate Gaju performed the first unknown rescue method to stop the bleeding. Tian's fatality rate has dropped to 65%" continued the manager, who closely watched his monitor screen to analyze Tian's injuries.

"Analyze the methods used by Gaju!" professor orders with a small smile.

"Methods analyzed. The results will be displayed in the second hollogram screen. Rerecorded movement in slow motion" said one of the Managers.

The manager watched closely as Gaju stabbed several parts of Tian's body with a needle-shaped object in his hand.

Moments later, several Managers were busy searching the Island database to analyze what methods were used by Gaju.

"Significant changes to Gaju performance!!" shouted a Manager suddenly.

All eyes returned to look towards the main hollogram screen when Gaju had just removed his limiter.

The room became silent for a moment when the Manager saw the next fight that took place between Gaju and Griffin.

"Gaju physical performance analysis!!" the Professor shouted breaking the silent atmosphere in the control room.

All the managers who were previously stunned to see Gaju's true abilities when fighting one-on-one with Griffin like free from hypnosis that makes them fixated in their respective places.

"Strength exceeds 2.3..."

"Speed exceeds 2.3..."

"Agility exceeds 2.3..."

"Cumulative Physical Attribute is estimated to exceed 7.0..."

All the Managers were stunned when they heard the results of Gaju's estimation of physical strength.

Doesn't that mean all this time they've been played with by this brat?

All this time they have always believed and considered that Koga is the strongest fighter owned by the Island, but the reality that is now in front of them is really unexpected.

Koga has nothing to do with a monster named Gaju. The boy who had always been considered the Strange, not only by fellow Candidates even by the Management.

"Hahaahahaha."

Loud laughter rang out inside the control room.

"You see for yourself. Gaju is sly fox. He had been hiding his true strength and only when faced with a life-and-death situation did he show his ability" said the Professor in his laughter.

"How much was Gaju's PA score first?" ask Professor.

"2.3... Below the average of the other candidates," replied one of the Managers.

"Hahahahahaha," the Professor laughed again.

"This is the real warrior" said the professor.

"A hardness that transcends limitations."

"Bracking down all flaws."

"Silent and quiet, hiding all the advantages until the moment of need."

"Training himself past all the limits he's got."

"This is the Candidate we want from the Island. He managed to get through all his physical weaknesses and forge himself until he reached the stage he has now," he continued.

All the Directors fell silent.

Just this time the Professor praised a Candidate in such a way. It was as if he had found a jewel that he had been looking for but had always been hidden in a pit.

"I'll meet him. Prepare AMT for Tian. I won't let a Candidate like him die like this" said the Professor.

"Steel, you are the best Candidate on the Island. I'll make Tian your rock. Therefore, now is not the right time for Tian to die," continued the Professor.

Shortly afterwards the Professor put on the helmet next to him and in less than two seconds, on the main hollogram screen was a shadow of the Professor standing with a smile behind Gaju.

A cynical and cruel smile fell on his lips and a word rang out from the Professor's mouth.

"Singer, will you make a deal with me?"
