Chapter 33 - Tim Koga

Hollogram Professor glanced at Gaju and Tian who were at the same time as Adel and then walked in the other direction. Leaving behind Gaju who was looking at him with a calm and emotionless look, Adel who was breathing gasped with emotion, and Tian who immediately pulled Gaju's hand at once.

"This is the Third Stage."

"You're smart. Surely you never expected that the Third Stage would be easier, right?"

"If you're expecting that, you don't deserve to sit here. You guys passed the Elimination Exam just because of luck!!"

The professor looked at the entire canteen and all the Candidates were silent. Some stared back, some were not brave and lowered their heads.

"Over this time, the Island has nourished you, educated you, given you the opportunity to be strong and intelligent, taught you, and all that you have today."

"But, it's just the Island did when you were kids."

"You have now passed the Elimination Test."

"That's the line between childhood and adulthood."

"And now you are adults."

"Adults must take responsibility for themselves."

"Adult humans must be prepared to accept the consequences of their actions."

The Professor fell silent and looked back at all the Candidates who were here.

"From now on..."

"There are no more rules on the island."

"You are free to do whatever you want!"

"But you are also fully responsible for your own safety and needs."

"For medical and critical needs, you can collect points and redeem them. Read the guide on your mini computer."

"We'll see who's gonna last another four years."

"The survive!!" the Professor said with a grin and his shadow disappeared.

Tian grabbed Gaju's right arm which suddenly went down to the side of the body. Gaju's face looked calm and completely expressionless. But, when Tian looked towards Gaju's fingers hidden under the table, Tian covered his mouth in surprise.

Gaju was already holding a needle between his fingers and he was in a standby position. Ready to attack at any time.

"Forward .." call Tian while looking at Gaju.

"I'm just preparing for the worst. We'll see" Gaju replied half in a whisper.

Adel noticed Gaju and Tian's movements whispering to each other and then he snapped furiously, "What are you talking about?"

Gaju glanced at Adel who was in front of him, "Adel, if you have the chance, will you attack us?" ask Gaju slowly.

Tian sitting next to Gaju watched Adel closely as Gaju asked that.

Tian's eyes suddenly seemed to lose focus as he looked towards Adel. Tian is analyzing Adel.

Tian saw all the physiological changes of Adel's body. Started the change in heart rate, the tempo of his breath, and all the little motions shown by Adel.

Like a lie detector, a lie detector.

"I will never attack Gaju," said Adel slowly and steadily as he stared alternately at Gaju and Tian.

Adel knew that Tian was analyzing it so he had to be careful when giving an answer.

"He's not lying" Tian said as he snorted in annoyance.

"Right now answer this!! Will you attack me or not if you have the chance?" ask Tian.

Adel laughs.

"You!!!" gerutu Tian's.

"Adels. You are a strategist. It must be able to quickly capture the intent of the Professor's words and their effect on the Candidates" Gaju said.

"I knew. I can guess your point too. I'm willing to be your partner" Adel replied before even being asked.

Adel's expression as he said the word 'partner' made Tian even more inflamed.

Gaju held Tian's hand, then he shook his head, "It's started," Gaju said slowly.

A boy is seen standing on a table and seems to want to talk.

"All of you!! Did you hear what that professor just said?" shouted the boy who was named Empty Nine and called Songlan.

All the children are silent. They may not have considered Songlan, but he was a confidant of Koga. So, indirectly, Songlan is the mouthpiece of the Koga.

"We intend to create a system that will govern us all. A new rule that we set and apply ourselves. Not the rule of the Island," Songlan said.

"And Koga will be the leader of all of us?" cut someone.

All eyes looked towards the direction the voice was coming from.

Commas.

"Bullshit!!!" koma shouted loudly.

"Please if you want to play around like this. Only weak people clustered. I chose to keep my own life" Koma said as he stood up and walked out of the canteen.

Songnam just sat at her desk and didn't look at Koma. Koma also did not glance in the direction of Songnam. It was as if the two of them did not know.

"Style?" ask Tian.

"I agree with you," Gaju said and made Tian smile.

Gaju is nobody.

He was only considered a loner lunatic on the Island. Therefore, Tian would pass on his words to all the children who were here. The opinion that even Gaju had approved when Tian had not conveyed it. Because Gaju knew what Tian was going to do.

"Good luck with your strategy. We'll try to survive on our own. Maybe someday we will need help from you guys," Tian said in a rather loud voice and sounded echoing in the canteen.

All the boys were a little stunned when they heard Tian's soft and feminine voice, especially when they saw Tian's figure who was already standing next to Gaju.

Tian was not a Koma who boldly proclaimed themselves to be against everyone. Tian was still trying not to burn the bridge after he passed through it.

Tian, Adel, and Gaju then stood up from their desks and left the cafeteria. But, just as the three of them were about to reach the door of the canteen, a voice made their steps stop.

"Maan ..."

The three of them stopped and turned their heads. Koga stood up from his seat.

"If I asked you to stay, would you change your mind?" ask Koga.

Tian smiled, "Koga, you're too good for me. For me who is just this ordinary girl, Gaju is more than enough," Tian replied as he hugged Gaju's arm and left the place.

All the children are silent.

Koma and Tian did not join the group being formed by Koga. But, a moment later they realized, was not the one who was with Tian and Gaju was Adel.

Does that mean Adel won't join Team Koga?

That means Aju too? Even if he's not here, but everyone knows that Keling will follow whatever Adel wants.

That means, of the six Candidates with the best value, four have shown their attitude by refusing to join Team Koga. There is only one highest scorer still in the cafeteria.
