Gaju - One

Gaju - One
Chapter 27 - Fire

Gaju did not intend to kill the Snake with his first attack. His attack was only intended to 'hurt' the Snake. That way the Snake will open his self-defense because of the pain.

Gaju was still watching closely the Leaf Snake that was rolling around in front of them. This time Gaju is aiming for a deadly weak point for the Snake. The weak point mentioned by Tian earlier. Hearts aka liver.

The Snake was still rolling on the ground, and over time his movements weakened. Gaju knew that the Snake's stamina had decreased. If a human being, when his eyes are hit by something can still use his hands to take that thing, what if a Snake? He could only feel the pain and spent his energy trying to relieve the pain. In vain endeavors.

Gaju needs the Snake to run out of energy for one reason. He was confident in the accuracy of his throw, but he was not yet sure of the power of the throw.

Lest later just stick a little and not enough to get in to hit the Snake's liver.

The only solution is to thrust the needle with his own hand into the target, not with a throw.

All that Gaju had to do to maintain his image. Since Tian already knew about the acupuncture that Gaju had learned, then he chose to use it. Actually Gaju has a thousand and one ways to finish off the Snake. But he knew that the Manager was watching everything that was happening right now. And Gaju wants to not show his true ability.

The Snake finally just lay down in front of Gaju, his unharmed right eye staring at Gaju with an alert look. The Snake knew that their duel was far from over.

Wussss.

Just like earlier, unexpectedly, Gaju's small body shot out like a loose arrow from his bow towards the Snake. Gaju ran in a position almost down. The Snake poked out his tongue quickly to find out Gaju's position.

The Schwakkkkk.

The serpent wagged its tail towards Gaju. Gaju threw the needle in his left hand towards a large rock in front of him.

The other three candidates were confused by Gaju's actions. That wasn't an attack, was it? Why did Gaju throw his needle at the stone?

Make no mistake, all candidates are competitors. The three of them also try as much as possible to capture and analyze Gaju's fighting style. Who knew that one day they would duel risking their lives. Perhaps only Tian paid attention to Gaju's fighting technique. He did it to get enough information for his analysis later.

When the Snake's tail almost hit Gaju, he jumped up quickly. And just then the Snake's right eye emitted a strange gaze for a moment.

Suddenly.

Wussss.

The Snake used his body like a spring. The body that had looked weak, jumping at full speed and gaping jaws ready to pounce on Gaju.

Tian and Adel looked panicked, while Aju frowned and was considering her next move. He doesn't care if Gaju lives or dies.

But Gaju smiled at the time.

"You're just a snake, since when does an animal defeat the ingenuity of a human?" muttered Gaju.

Afterwards, the three Gaju comrades witnessed an unreasonable sight before them.

Gaju's body that was bouncing upwards suddenly stopped in midair. The head of the Snake that should be right about it now is actually on top of Gaju.

Gaju without hesitation swung his right hand and thrust his silver needle into the Snake's heart. Gaju's movements were very fast and accurate, as if the Snake had just jumped on top of Gaju's head without experiencing anything. But the Snake then landed on the ground without a life.

"You?" adel asked confusedly.

In accordance with the rules of physics, objects floating in the air should not be able to maneuver or change direction without a foothold. But Gaju did.

Tian smiled because he knew the answer.

Gaju used a thread tied to a needle he threw at the stone. When the Snake attacked him with his head, Gaju used the thread to stop his upward bouncy pace.

Now Tian understands Gaju's method of fighting. The needle in the left hand is connected with a thread to maneuver. Needle in the right hand for weapons and attack.

But all of that is just a tool. The most important thing is its use. Dan Tian greatly admired the insight Gaju had because he could predict the Snake's attack pattern and execute it perfectly.

Now Tian realized, Gaju is not a Fighter or a Strategist. Gaju is a Fighter-Strategist in one body. The scariest monster on the Island that the other Candidates are still unaware of.

Gaju took his needle from the Snake's body and from a nearby stone. He did not explain his fighting tricks because it was his secret.

All candidates know that.

Gaju then walked towards his three companions and approached Tian, "Tian, did you see him?" ask Gaju slowly.

Tian nodded his head, "unique, deadly, flexible, his potential is limitless. I've already imagined at least dozens of scenarios to develop your technique," Tian replied, "but I'm sure Gaju must have thought about it earlier than I did, right?" continued Tian with a sweet smile.

Somewhere.

Two boys hugged each other at the bottom of a ravine. Their bodies were full of scratches and bleeding wounds. They were mired in this abyss while chasing their hunted animals earlier.

The gorge is not too deep but the top is filled with grass and trees. Make the bottom of the gorge to be a little dark because the sunlight that enters here is very limited.

The two boys suddenly heard a hissing sound from in front of them. The long, slow hissing becomes louder and more coarse.

Shortly thereafter.

Hundreds of snakes had shrouded the two boys while sticking out their tongues and making a hissing sound.

The pair of boy and girl fell silent. They know they don't have a chance. And they could imagine what it would be like to be swallowed alive by a snake and feel their bodies rotting little by little in the snake's belly.

They looked at each other and they didn't want to feel it.

The boy then smiled and pulled out his knife, "I'll make it feel fast and painless" he told the girl in his arms.

The little girl nodded her head. There is no dear word between them. But they are both best friends. And they know it.

"See u there" whispered the girl, closing her eyes and smiling.

The boy thrust his knife into the chest of the girl right into his heart and she died instantly.

The boy tightly hugged the lifeless but still warm body of the girl, "even in hell, if I had a friend like you, everything would be fine. Wait for me, my friend" whispered the boy.

He then stabbed his own heart with the same knife.

They both died embracing like lovers, but they were much closer than that.

All of the scenes were captured and monitored by a drone hovering in the abyss in the darkness.

Away from this place, the Professor watched the scene of the two of them being silent.

"The brightest spark of fire was just before he was extinguished" the professor murmured.

He had to admit, how those boys had such an amazing heroic side. But everything is visible only when they are confronted by death.
