Chapter 81 - Plan 3.1

"That's right! There's no way a man more cunning than a wolf like you would let your quarry loose, '" Gaju said in his heart.

"My clothes always think of you as my own son. Why do you look like you don't believe me?" ask the professor in between his laughter.

"I told you. Stop this nonsense! I don't believe you" replied Gaju Ketus.

"Hahahahahaha," the Professor laughed.

"OKAY. It's hard to try to get a little bit involved with you" said the professor.

"Look, I'll be frank with you two. For this Third Stage exam, I intend to pit one Candidate pair against another Candidate pair. Out of the 20 Candidates there will only be 10 Candidates left to advance to Stage Four" continued the Professor.

Gaju and Tian instantly fell silent with faces of disbelief.

"You guys... Very cruel.." muttered Gaju while clenching his jaw, holding back the anger that suddenly felt overflowing in his chest.

Even though Gaju had suspected that the Island was intent on eliminating them, but guessing and really knowing it were two very different things.

In the end, Gaju did not know how many Candidates would be left until the end.

"Forward, by that criterion, you and Tian should have already qualified for Stage Four. Didn't Gaju finish off Tutu and Sadu?" ask Professor.

Gaju and Tian looked at each other. They were still confused by the purpose and intent of the Professor.

"But, it's not exciting if you only hunt wild beasts until waiting for this Third Stage to be completed?" The professor continued his monologue.

"So, what if I make it more exciting for you?" professor's voice that had looked cheerful now turned flat and serious.

Gaju and Tian glanced at each other and Tian shook his head quickly. A signal that Gaju rejected the Professor's offer just now.

"Tian, did you just tell Gaju to reject my offer?" reproach Professor.

Tian was immediately glued to his place. Gaju looked at Tian and used his lips to calm Tian soundlessly.

"Professor, don't act like a god in front of us. You guys installed surveillance cameras all over the Island. It's only natural that you know what we're doing in real time" Gaju said.

"And without even a suggestion from Tian, I will still reject your offer. Nobody in their right mind would want to deal with you" he continued.

The professor just laughed and then the communication connection was cut off.

Gaju and Tian were still silent in place. They only intended to pay Gaju's debt, they did not expect that Professor would tell his plans for the Third Stage exam later.

Plan 3.0 was to unleash a level 3 savage beast, this plan should have been executed after the Third Stage had run for 180 days or 6 months.

While Plan 3.1 was to release a level 2 ferocious beast and should have been done after the Third Stage walked for 1 year or 360 days.

Their planning from the beginning was determined by taking into account the progress of the Candidates so as to give them a chance to face the ferocious beasts that would confront them.

But now, the Professor wants to advance their planning without regard to the fate of other Candidates just because of a Candidate named Gaju.
