Gaju - One

Gaju - One
Chapter 54 - Farewell

Adel awakens Aju and takes care of her injuries. Gaju is gathering his needles back.

After a few minutes, the three of them regrouped under the fallen trees and the area that was devastated by the fight earlier.

"Suit, what's your plan?" ask Adel.

"Where's Tian?" ask Aju at about the same time.

Gaju smiled bitterly, "Where should I answer first?" ask Gaju.

"We should move to a safe place first" Adel suggested, "Who knows, the creature will return" he added, glancing anxiously around him.

Gaju agreed with Adel's proposal, then they moved slowly down the slopes of the dense mountain and accompanied by trees.

The injured Aju and the exhausted Gaju, made the three of them only able to walk slowly and carefully. Until finally they found a small rocky river that looks clear and not too deep.

This small river is not an elongated river, but more like a pile of small waterfalls that descend rocks and between trees because of the condition of the mountain slopes are rather steep.

The water is clear and the splash that falls from above soaks up the greenish moss that sticks to the rocks. The slow, continuous sound of water creates a rhythmic and natural sounding rhythm.

"We rest here for lunch" said Gaju slowly.

Aju and Adel follow Gaju's advice and find a slightly shady spot on the riverbank and the three of them examine their surroundings and clean up the area.

Sometimes, a beautiful place that looks lonely like this holds hidden dangers.

For example, this small, rocky, shady, and moist river is a favorite spot for Fire Spiders, so they must check it first.

After checking for a while, Adel slipped into the bushes in front of them for a few minutes then he came back again. Gaju and Aju did not ask Adel anything, whatever the sexy girl did, of course for their safety. Or at least for his own safety.

The three of them then took out the ration food they had stored. They didn't have enough energy or time to hunt for their lunch.

After a few minutes of eating the food without sound, Gaju stood up and took the water from the clear river with his glass.

"OKAY. Please, can someone tell me what happened after I passed out?" ask Aju.

Adel looked towards Gaju and Gaju nodded his head then gestured to the needle hidden in his hand. Adel smiled, he understood what Gaju meant. Gaju asks her to cover up a secret about her power that even Tian might not know about.

Adel then looks towards Aju and starts telling her everything, except for the part about Gaju who turns into a monster that has physical strength comparable to Griffin.

Adel also tells about Professor and Tian, including about Gaju's minus points and the rewards given by the Island for Candidates who can eliminate Gaju.

Aju's eyes glowed for a moment and then dimmed back. Adel and Gaju know what it is, greed, greed, one of the seven sins attached to a creature named man.

"After this, you will be the target of the hunt for all Candidates on the Island, especially Koga. He's not just gonna let you go. I know his nature," said Aju.

"I might let you go right now. But I don't know when I'll be tempted to eat you again" said Aju softly with a faint smile on her lips.

A smile that looks a little strange.

"We are all competitors. I don't blame you. That is how they aim. But, one thing you should know. I am always ready to face anyone who comes to take my life. I have the right to defend myself" Gaju replied slowly.

An awkward atmosphere was created between the three of them.

Gaju's words just now certainly awakened the soul of the Aju fighter who felt challenged to fight against Gaju.

"juice. You don't have a brain. Admit it. My advice, try to think twice before making any decision. Or ask Adel's opinion before acting. That was my last suggestion as a friend to you," Gaju said slowly as he packed his things.

Aju obviously went up black hearing Gaju's words, as stupid as he was, must have understood that Gaju had just said as a fool.

"You!!" Aju immediately stood up and intended to jump towards Gaju.

"Keling!!" shout Adel.

Aju held back her body movements and glanced towards Adel with a questionable look.

"You're not against Gaju. Don't fight it" said Adel slowly.

Aju fell silent and nodded her head. But the Keling misunderstood Adel's words. Aju thinks that he is not against Gaju now because of the injuries on his body. And that was true, Aju could only bring out no more than half of his true strength because of all those injuries.

Adel breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Aju calm down again. He then looked towards Gaju who was still packing his things in silence.

"Suit, what's your plan?" ask Adel.

"Of course collect as many points. I have a debt that snare my neck. You know that, right?" gaju replied with a small laugh.

"So, you're going?" adel asked hesitantly.

"Yes. I will stay in the forest and hunt wild animals. Little by little collect points and try to pay off my minus points," replied Gaju.

"I don't want to go with you. You're a ticking time bomb with no control. When Team Koga or other Candidates hunt you down, I don't want to get involved in your fight" Aju said quickly.

Gaju laughed a little.

"I never asked you to help me. I just want you both to go as far away from me as possible. You will only hinder me" said Gaju.

"You.." Aju picked up while holding back the anger that exploded again.

Adel snorted angrily towards Si Keling and made him speechless.

"Shirt, are you serious?" ask Adel.

"i'm serious. This is my debt and this is my fight. You don't have to get involved in it" replied Gaju.

"Mmmm..." Adel looked doubtful and glanced towards Aju.

"Adels. Don't worry. Go with Aju. Soulmate. I can take care of myself. You should know that" said Gaju.

"But..." Adel is still visible.

"This island is not that big. We must meet again" said Gaju with a laugh and began to walk towards the trees.

Aju was silent and did not interrupt the conversation between Gaju and Adel.

A few moments later, Gaju's shadow had disappeared into the thick trees. Aju and Adel were still silent in place without a sound. Only the sound of water gurgling from the small river next to them accompanied the two of them.
