Gaju - One

Gaju - One
Chapter 71 - Confusing

Gama is the third highest intelligence scorer after Tian and Adel, while Koma is the highest physical scorer after Koga. But, uh, the current battle between Gaju and Koma did not reflect a fight between someone who relied on physicality and someone who was considered strange with below average physical scores and intelligence.

“Koma. You are such a coward!!” Gaju again provoked Koma who still remained in hiding.

Gaju had been trying to find where Koma was hiding, but his enemy was unlike any other Candidate. Even if he answers Gaju's question, but the sound coming out of Koma is very difficult to guess where it came from. More precisely, the voice of Koma looks like floating and moving directions. Gaju did not know what tricks the Koma did to do that.

“Forward, no need to lure me. I know you mean, the more you try hard to ask me to get out of here, I will not do what you want,” replied Koma.

“Koma, you think too complicated. I want to end this battle immediately and get out of here. If you don't want to show your face and fight openly, I go,” said Gaju while turning his body.

But Gaju remains fully alert, he has already found the outline of the location of Koma even though he does not know where the exact position. Gaju deliberately twisted his body and gave his back towards the direction Koma was.

Koma smile.

“Humph. You think I'm that easy to get hooked on. Even if you are behind me, your hands and feet are tight, your muscles are also slightly tight. You're alert. We'll see how long it takes me to let you off guard. We prove who is more patient in waiting among us,” muttered Koma slowly.

If there is something that he is very proud of, Koma believes for sure when it is mental aptitude, especially patience. As someone who walked the path as an Assassin, patience was an absolute matter.

Koma was so amazed and stunned when he once read a story about the patience of an Assassin.

While carrying out his mission, the Assassin hid and waited in the toilet hole that was used to throw away the honors. Soaking for days in there, for the sake of waiting for the hunt off guard.

And when the time came, the unsuspecting quarry wanted to take off his natural needs, died horribly with his lower body pierced by a sword from below while throwing away the wish.

Koma even goosebumps when imagining the patience and determination possessed by the Assassin.

Koma is eager to have such mental capability. Koma also trains it in a very simple way. Koma deliberately seeks an ant nest and bothers him, then he will wait for the moment the ants bite him, without trying to avoid, without trying to complain, without trying to pat the small creature that can be easily dijitesnya, without trying to complain, without trying to complain, without trying to pat the little creature that can be easily dijitesnya, oops was wrong, he killed.

All of this is to train his patience.

Koma also trained his patience as an Assassin in various other simple ways. Until finally, he was convinced that his one advantage, exceeded the abilities of all the Candidates on the Island.

“Speaking patience with me? I could even be a stone motionless for a few days. You are no match for me,” muttered Koma confidently.

Gaju waited down there and stood his back to Koma who was still in his hiding place.

“Is. It's better that I fight a turtle like Gama than a snail like Koma, he just hides in a shell and doesn't want to come out. I have no time to serve you,” muttered Gaju slowly.

And unexpectedly by Koma, Gaju darted away from this place towards the South. Not at all concerned about Koma who is still sitting and hiding in his place.

“Huh? Run?” Koma looked at Gaju's behavior in surprise.

There is a big mistake in the Koma method. He's a hunter, he's supposed to act as an active party to attack his quarry. Especially when Gaju already knows his whereabouts. But what Koma is doing now is just wrong.

“If you want to hide, hide there until it takes root. I have no time to serve you,” cried Gaju before his shadow finally disappeared among the leaves.

Koma was stunned in place.

The breeze blowing between the trees made the small branches sway slowly. Moving, swaying, and nodding, as if mocking Koma who was stunned in place, on a tree branch covered by lush foliage where he had been hiding from earlier.

Koma still remained silent in place for a few minutes after that, until he finally realized, his hunt had disappeared somewhere.

\=\=\=\=\=

Gaju darted rapidly towards the South and occasionally glanced back. He did not see a shadow chasing him and breathed a sigh of relief. Something he doesn't know is very much afraid of. Coma is one of them.

Gaju guessed that Koma must have a trump card, like Gama with his armor.

He was not using reverse psychology tactics to Koma. He really wanted Koma to attack him. Gaju is also eager to find out how to fight the loner Bule.

But beyond Gaju's expectations, Koma actually did not intend to fight openly. Koma hid in his place and refused to attack him.

Gaju just laughed in his heart.

“You are the hunter, but decided to hide and wait for me in the shadows. Do you think I'm that stupid and will just stand by until your chance arrives?” muttered Gaju.

He doesn't need any more points for now. If he could, he wanted to immediately find a safe hiding place to end his day and rest comfortably to restore his stamina.

The coma? Who cares.

Metal thread still attached in the area? Gaju didn't care about it either.

He does have a limited number of needles. The needle, which originally numbered six, is now only five after one needle became a memento for the Griffin and is still stuck in his right eye. But for the metal thread? Gaju has more than enough.

Gaju continued darting towards the South for almost half an hour until he stopped and erased the trail he left behind. He found a suitable place to rest tonight.

Gaju quickly pulled out a knife from his backpack and cleaned the bottom of a very large tree trunk. Gaju cleans the area between the roots that come out of the ground carefully. Then quickly, Gaju set his trap around the tree and when everything was done, Gaju laid himself down. Lean to the tree trunk on the sidelines of the roots that cover his body.

This place is hidden, especially Gaju also deliberately erased his tracks and left the surrounding shrubs untouched.

Gaju took the food out of his bag and enjoyed it. Shortly after, he closed his eyes. A smile on his lips.

What a fruitful day.
