Gaju - One

Gaju - One
Chapter 73 - Welcome Back

Tian was silent inside the helicopter that carried him into the Forest. He looked happy and happy despite the glare of deep sadness mixed in his eyes.

It was not until a matter of minutes that the soundless helicopter flew over a very thick and tall tree. Tian glanced downwards with a doubtful look. Then he looked at the Steward's personnel who were wearing military-style uniforms and were often called the Guardians.

“You are sure we are in the right position?” tian asked towards the Guard sitting with him in the passenger cabin.

“True. This is based on the mini-computer coordinates of Candidate Three Seven that we tracked in real-time. His position has not moved from this point since last night,” replied the Guard.

“Huft,” Tian snorted resentfully towards the Guard and raised the zipper of his camou shirt.

“Prepared for vertical landing,” the Guard told the Pilot in front.

Shortly after, a rope was dropped from the top of the helicopter towards the bottom. Tian glanced at him then stood up and without giving any respect or thanks, Tian jumped down and quickly grabbed the hanging rope.

Tian smiled broadly as he slid down by holding onto the rope. Even if he had been acting a little too closely to the Guard, he knew that the Guard would not lie. Gaju is down there, among the groves of trees that grow thick and towering.

Maybe they are hunting? Maybe he's resting? Maybe you are enjoying your time? Tian had no idea but he was very happy to meet that soulmate again.

Tian held the rope with his left hand and then used his foot to hook the rope. He began to hold back the pace of the descent slowly while closely looking towards his surroundings. Looking for the slightest hint of his soulmate's whereabouts.

Gaju felt something.

One of his threads suddenly shook and made him wake up. Gaju immediately woke up and took a cautious stance. But when Gaju saw the metal thread that gave him a distress signal, Gaju was shocked.

The griffin?

Gaju did not care about his backpack, he jumped straight from the cocoon hole he made at the bottom of the tree and like an ape quickly climbed the tree he used to sleep on.

Since the battle with Griffin, Gaju thought about how to detect the arrival of the creature. Unlike other beasts that might ambush him from trees or bushes, Griffin came from the air. And Gaju made a simple detector like a wind indicator in the airport.

When there is a sudden change in the wind, the thread connected to the wind indicator will tell Gaju the arrival of any enemy from the air.

Gaju nimbly jumped from branch to branch quickly. In just a few seconds, Gaju was standing on a tree, hidden among the leaves. Army camou clothes that are green hide the figure of Gaju and make it invisible.

And Gaju saw it.

A sophisticated helicopter and flying silently above the trees.

But still the helicopter's propeller gave the signal that had awakened Gaju and made him alert. With a few questions in his head, Gaju waited in his place and looked towards the helicopter.

Shortly after, a rope was thrown from the helicopter down, just a few meters from the tree where Gaju hid himself.

A moment later, Gaju saw him.

A little girl with long hair and a pretty face. With a smile on his lips and a calm look of eyes and a cheerful look of face was seen standing there.

The wind blew and made the girl's black hair fly in all directions. Makes the girl look more attractive.

The morning light hit the girl's radiant face and confidently jumped down from the helicopter where she was standing for a moment.

The girl boldly jumped down agilely. And for a moment he was seen flying through the air, before he finally grabbed the rope and used his legs to hold his body.

But, right now, Gaju was like watching an angel who had fallen from heaven.

Angel's hers.

Who fell from heaven to meet the Demon Lord. The demon whose hands had been covered in blood and was full of sin.

Gaju unhesitatingly moved his left hand towards the rope that was above Tian. A glittering needle quickly wrapped around the rope and with a slow jolt, the once perpendicular rope began to tilt towards Gaju.

Tian was startled for a moment when he realized the movement of the rope he was holding. But when Tian saw the almost invisible fine thread of eyes twisting the rope over his head, Tian smiled brightly instantly.

Tian glanced towards the tree where the rope was interested and knew that someone was waiting for him there. Someone who makes himself willing to do everything, including sacrificing his life.

Tian was still moving down and the rope was getting closer to the tree where Gaju was hiding.

"Let go!" a short word sounded in Tian's ear and without hesitation Tian followed him.

With complete confidence Tian removed his grip from the rope and let his body fall down.

Srakkkkk.

A voice rang out and a shadow could be seen streaking from the lush foliage at the treetops near Tian.

The shadow then captured Tian's body and Tian let it go.

Gaju hugged Tian and smiled. The two figures who were hugging each other then descended down rapidly.

The guard looked at everything expressionlessly then gave the order to the Pilot to leave this place.

The helicopter then disappeared without a sound, just like when it came to this place.

Gaju and Tian still hugged and smiled at each other and looked at each other.

They seemed to not care if they were currently sliding down from a height of tens of meters above the ground.

"Suit, how are you?" whispered Tian lirih.

"I'm doing fine. How are you?" ask Gaju.

"Me too" replied Tian quietly.

"Some of these days are a very pleasant day for me. But today was the best of all" Gaju said.

"Welcome back. I missed you," continued the Strange with a big smile.

"I missed you too," Tian replied quietly and leaned his head against Gaju's body.

Gaju laughed a little. There was no more worry in him at this moment.

His soulmate was now back by his side. There's nothing more he needs to think about. Now it was time for Gaju to really focus on becoming the strongest on the Island and he would not let events like before befall Tian again.

For eternity.
