Chandanas

Chandanas
Section 9

The afternoon sky that originally showed a reddish flame now began to dim along with the sun sinking. Two teenage boys who were cursing at each other seemed busy fighting gazes. Who else if not Kiran and Roka. Five minutes passed since Roka set foot in Kiran's room and was still silent without saying a word. For Kiran, though, he would rather hear Roka's insults and insults than see him silent without a word like this because Kiran herself did not know how to respond to Roka's silent attitude which if seen by her best friend it looks so angry at her himself.

"sorry. I was so confused about what to do." After thinking over and over again, Kiran decided to take the initiative by having Roka speak first.

Roka sighed softly. "Basic lo emang very bloon lo dasaarrr! Can-can escape fit again pdkt, why the lo brooo? Look pocong? Then pack the tereak show again before running! Shame on dignity I know you don't." After holding back her anger for some time, Roka finally poured all her frustration fiery.

Kiran gave a small smile as in the end Roka was willing to open her voice. "It's hard for me to know. I never talk to girls, there is no business other than the task, you know-tau asked to do things repeatedly. What do you think is easy?"

Roka was silent after hearing Kiran's words. But his best friend has a point. Things might indeed be too sudden and sudden for Kiran. "So you want how dong? I'm so confused follow this up, basic **lo."

"Gue from the beginning just wanted to win doang, why do you really. Give me time to move on my own. Doesn't suit me in a barbaric way." Kiran decided to decide for herself how next. Following the flow of the game Roka makes it difficult to do many silly things.

"Yeee songong lu's. Barbarians gini also tokcer tau lo." Roka dodged, trying to defend herself so as not to look lousy. "But it's up to you, everyone is different. The most obvious thing if you use your own way." Even so, Roka remained supportive and tried to give her support to Kiran.

"Gorah, I'm gonna take a shower. Move over!" Kiran pushes Roka to a crouch on the bed which is then reciprocated by her best friend by throwing a pillow towards Kiran.

At that moment, Kiran felt relieved that they had finally made up. But more than anything, his heart was still not calm. He was afraid that Chandana would find himself strange after the afternoon, not to mention that he did not know where to start from.

Act my own way? Hmngghhhh, please songong lu Kiatannn. Gatau aaahh, bodo amaatt.

----

Kiran washed her face with water flowing from the sink faucet. He grimaced as he looked at the faint line on his forehead. Not long ago standing in the scorching sun, his skin had already appeared striped. Although the strip usually only lasts a few hours, Kiran still always carries sunscreen so that her skin does not burn direct sunlight.

After getting his clothes fixed and putting his hat back on, Kiran rushed out of the bathroom to return to attend the flag ceremony in the field. After briefly looking for an empty spot for him to march on, Kiran decided to join the front row because only that line left one empty spot.

Kiran looked straight ahead, from where she stood can be seen clearly the flag raiser who was busy hooking the flag to the rope attached to the pole. The sunlight this morning was so hot that many students complained in whispers, causing a small commotion that made one of the teachers repeatedly reprimand the front row. Kiran remained silent as she lowered her head occasionally to avoid the sun. Not so long after, the leader of the ceremony called for the order that all participants of the ceremony pay their respects to the red and white. Kiran looked up, looking at the flag that was swerving in the wind. He then circulated his gaze, observing one by one the people around him, until Kiran's gaze arrived at the figure standing in his right row. Chandana, was looking down while occasionally wiping the sweat that poured from the sides of her face.

Gosh, these coincidences have been crazy for a long time as well.

Kiran turned her gaze back towards the flag. He felt his right hand shake with groggy. He did not understand at all, but lately he quite often met with Chandana. He feels confused to be grateful or even worried. Although in his little heart he felt a sense of relief at every meeting, but on the other hand Kiran also felt anxious and unsettled. Inside his head constantly came orders for him to rush over to do something so that their meeting did not end in vain while his heart said there was no need to rush, observing silently was more than enough. The clash that occurred in him is what causes Kiran often feel anxious and can not decide what he should do next.

Tired of looking at the flag that never reached its position, Kiran glanced at a short student standing right next to her. The student stands right in front of Chandana, but her body shorter than the girl makes the sunlight freely sting the white skin Chandana who is now busy looking down to hide her face from the sun.

Kiran turned her gaze back to the front to wait for the national anthem to be sung. "Can I change positions?" Shortly after the ceremony leader called for 'READY GRAK!' Kiran whispered softly to the student standing next to her.

At first the male student felt confused, but in the end he just wanted to obey Kiran's request to exchange places. And now Kiran is standing right in front of Chandana. He did not know if the thing he did this time was the right thing, but the feeling of not having the heart to see Chandana overheated to sweat that much made Kiran dare to take action. Unknowingly, Kiran smiled faintly at Chandana's expression, who was probably surprised because she no longer needed to duck to avoid the sun because everything was blocked by Kiran's tall body.

For some reason, standing in his new position felt a little hotter than the position Kiran had previously occupied. This is in line with the sweat that slowly begins to pour profusely around his forehead and back. It was only fitting that Chandana kept his head down and sweated that much.

After the leader of the ceremony disbanded the line, Kiran did not leave immediately. He stayed in his position for some time to make sure Chandana had left first. After faintly hearing the sound of shoes from the person standing behind him drifting away, Kiran hesitantly turned her head back. And it's true, there's no one there. Chandana is gone.

The first thing Kiran did was sigh in relief. Although he could not interact directly as he expected, at least he had done something right by not looking as stupid as he did the other day. He felt relieved because little by little he began to be able to position himself properly, for the next he hopes to reduce the nervousness and anxiety that suddenly comes every time he sees the figure of Chandana.

Kiran was about to step away leaving the ceremonial field when she felt something soft stab her shoulder from behind. He took off the hat he was wearing then turned to see what or maybe who touched his shoulder. "Thank you." said one girl, proffering a piece of facial tissue.

Kiran knows very well who the girl is but she tries desperately to stay calm and not act stupid. "Yes." Yeah." Kiran grabs the tissue that the girl is offering that is none other than Chandana.

With hesitation, Kiran wiped away the sweat that flooded her face and neck. Silence covers both because they both do not know what to say, until then Chandana opens his voice. "I'm sorry I didn't thank you properly for that time. Today you helped me again. Thanks."

Kiran fell silent, her eyes fixed on Chandana who hid her face behind a hat. Kiran was fifteen to twenty centimeters taller than Chandana so she could not see the girl's face but the hat she was wearing. Unknowingly, the corner of Kiran's lips lifted. Something cool hit his heart and mind, without knowing why he felt happy and happy to hear the words of Chandana.

"I don't think you remember." Kiran replied softly, every word that came out of her mouth sounded quivering.

"No. I can't forget, I won't forget." Chandana was getting lower so her voice was getting quieter. "I want to go back to class. Thanks again." Chandana turned around and stepped away from Kiran.

Seeing Chandana drifting away creates such a huge urge for Kiran that she subconsciously calls out the girl's name to stop her steps. "Murray!"

Chandana stopped her steps then turned to look at Kiran, their gazes meeting for the umpteenth time. Well-favoured. Kiran said in a heart that she immediately tepis after seeing Chandana hinted at confusion as to why Kiran called her name. For a moment Kiran thought about what she should say next until a sentence came out that Kiran never thought she would say. "Tomorrow to go home from school?"

Chandana looked at Kiran expressionlessly. Seeing the reaction Chandana showed made Kiran prepare to accept a rejection. "There was. You can meet me at the library." Chandana answered, who then walked away from Kiran, who was still staring because of an inexplicable feeling of joy.

Gosh darn. How is this guy, huh?
