"Do you love me Chandana?"
Chandana turned her head, showing a sad look and a bitter face. He did not answer immediately but just kept silent while looking at Kiran for almost a minute.
"Would you like to eat?" chandana said with a faint smile. He did not answer Kiran's question, nor did he give an excuse. The response was completely unexpected Kiran who was now glued to the spot, standing straight while carrying two books in her arms.
Chandana walked over, picked up a book from Kiran's arms and tiptoed to tuck it between several other books neatly arranged on the same shelf.
Kiran lowered her gaze and stuffed another book onto the shelf, "Mau," he said.
Kiran felt a little sad because Chandana did not answer her question. Consciously or not, the girl had indeed never really said how she felt about Kiran so clearly. Kiran realized that feelings should not always be expressed through words but through actions. However, expressing love through words also needs to be done occasionally to calm each other's feelings for each other because the most important communication comes from words and words.
After returning all the books back to their place, Kiran looked at Chandana at a glance and then threw her face away. He is not a typical person who will force someone to say what he wants to hear or do something. Kiran wanted to hear that Chandana also had the same feelings as her, but if Chandana did not want to answer, then there must be an underlying reason.
"Then let's go to the cafeteria," Chandana extended her hand doubtfully. Although he feels fine every time he makes physical contact with Kiran, Chandana still feels unaccustomed to it. He still feels worried and a little afraid especially if bad memories come back to fill his mind and mind.
Kiran glanced at Chandana's helping hand and then smiled faintly as she walked ahead of the girl. Ignoring Chandana's intention to hold her hand.
Chandana looked at Kiran who was walking on her back sadly and then followed her from behind.
On the way to the cafeteria, the two of them walked in a lined up position, as if they were both avoiding each other. Kiran knew her childish attitude, but she wanted to see how Chandana reacted with it. Now he gets his answer. Chandana did not rebuke him or even question why he behaved this way. He wondered if Chandana even cared if she acted sucks.
With all the thought and annoyance he felt, Kiran tried to calm down. He cannot think the no-no. It is natural for him to demand certainty, but he is also obliged to understand and understand his partner. Chandana has the right to be respected, the right to determine his own attitude without Kiran needing to coerce or ask for it.
With a single breath that felt extremely heavy and difficult, Kiran twisted her body. Looking at Chandana who seemed surprised because he stopped suddenly.
Kiran exhaled, her gaze softened after the inner conflict she felt just now, "I'm sorry ya. I was being childish," Kiran said softly.
Chandana looked at Kiran. His eyes were glazed for nothing. For a few seconds just silent and staring at the man's face, Chandana said, "I don't think you'll want to talk to me anymore."
Kiran laughed cluelessly, "I'm sorry it made you feel that way. I'm just a little upset. At least," Kiran symbolizes the word slightly by forming a circle with her index finger and thumb, leaving a small bulkhead to describe the definition of the little she means.
Chandana rubbed the tears that were falling in the corner of her eyes then smiled half-laughingly, "You are indeed a good person, Kiran."
Kiran shrugged her shoulders, "Here you are!"
The two smiled and walked to the cafeteria. As Kiran expected, she became the center of attention again. This time people wondered who the beautiful girl he was walking with was.
As is known that Chandana is very rarely out of class if not going to the library or because he wants to go to the bathroom. Although she is very beautiful and attracted the attention of many men who see her because of her feminine and meek appearance, Chandana is not known enough by many people. Only a handful of people have ever seen it, and not all know the name and class of which it comes from. But now he is actually seen walking with a Kiran who has been known to be anti-women.
Realizing that they were now being seen by many, Kiran tried to look relaxed. He didn't want to panic Chandana. Maybe this is something that is common to Kiran but being the center of attention may be entirely new to Chandana. He was afraid that Chandana was uncomfortable with all this, so Kiran tried to look relaxed and ignore the sight of everyone who was now staring at them with thousands of questions.
"You feel uncomfortable, huh?" Chandana. Although Kiran continues to try to look okay, Chandana is aware of the concerns that are implied from the man.
"You must feel the same, right? Sorry yeah. I should have worn a snap mask so no one would recognize it," Kiran scratched her nape while smiling awkwardly.
Chandana smiled, "I'm used to getting weird looks from people. You don't have to be so nervous."
Kiran raised her next eyebrow, "You mean? Why are you?" still walking together, Kiran tries to pry information about Chandana.
In retrospect, Kiran did not know much about this girl she loved. Chandana is always reluctant to talk about herself and prefers to listen to all the stories and stories that Kiran goes through rather than tell about her.
"I told you, right. I'm not as good as you think, I'm not as beautiful as you might think. I'm full of flaws, Kiran," Chandana glanced at Kiran while tucking her hair behind her ears.
"You're good. You're beautiful. You're not full of flaws" Kiran denied. As far as she is concerned, Chandana is a very kind and simple girl despite being full of mysteries and secrets.
Chandana shook her head slowly as she looked at the road they were on, "You don't know me yet."
Kiran rolled her eyeballs furiously, "Then let me get to know you. Let me know all about you, Chandana."
Chandana stopped walking then looked at Kiran's face with a sad look. Kiran did not understand what was really in Chandana's mind. He did not understand what Chandana was thinking and what she wanted. It felt like Kiran wanted to go in there and pry at all the information that Chandana had never told her so far.
"Kira!" Chandana turned her gaze to a man who seemed to be half-running towards them from behind Kiran.
Hearing her name called, Kiran turned her head, seeing her Bayu was running small with breathless breathing.
"What's wrong?" Kiran frowned in astonishment as she saw Bayu standing beside her with chest up and down and sweat that almost touched all parts of her face.
"God! Edy finished in the same hit Rendi and his friends!" still panting, Bayu explained the situation that was happening to Kiran.
Hearing the information from Bayu made Kiran both shocked and angry at the same time. His jaw was hardened, his hands clenched. For the futsal team, Edy is their passion and motivation. Killing Edy means beating up the whole team.
"Where?" Kiran asked, almost shouting.
Kiran nodded then turned to look towards Chandana. He held the shoulder of the girl with both hands, then slightly lowered the kelala so that their faces were in a parallel position.
With trembling hands in anger, Kiran said, "Chandana, I'm sorry I can't accompany you to a meal. You can go back to class without me, right?"
Chandana looked at Kiran with a worried look. Chandana felt there would be a fight going on after this, "Don't fight. You have a match, right?" Chandana said slowly, her voice begging.
Kiran smiled, trying to calm Chandana down, "I promise to be back in good shape. You be careful yeah. Me first!" Kiran patted the top of Chandana's head gently and slowly then darted towards the hall along with Bayu beside her.
Chandana looked at Kiran's back which was moving away with a sad and worried face. While Kiran ran against the wind that blows in the opposite direction.
"How's edy?" kiran asked in the middle of their journey towards the hall.
Bayu shook his head slowly, "He was battered. I'm not sure he'll be able to fight today."
Kiran let out a frustrated sigh as she accelerated her foot. He did not understand what was really thought by Rendi so he could beat Edy who obviously had to compete carrying their school's good name on the national scene.
Not long after, Kiran arrived at the courtyard of the hall. At that time the conditions were very crowded, there were so many students who crowded, competing to see and see what was ahead there.
Bayu and Kiran had thrown eyes at each other before finally walking into the crowd, splitting this sea of humans with energy that had been drained a lot to run.
Shortly after seeing what was presented before him, Kiran pushed the male figure who was busy beating Edy without anyone daring to stop him.
Disturbed, Rendi twisted her body with an angry expression and grumbled, "Don't interfere lo!" Rendi shouted right in front of Kiran's face, some of her spit circles raining down on Kiran who was rubbing her face with all the resentment she desperately held.
"Well crazy? This afternoon futsal boy there's a tournament. You think without Edy we can win? Throw away this temperament and childishness. What the hell are you from the fight? Dapet what are you from ngeroyok people?" Kiran snapped back at Rendi, she really felt bored to see the childish attitude of Rendi who was always looking for trouble for everyone.
Rendi smiled wryly and spat out her mouth, without warning, she landed a precise punch on Kiran's face.
Kiran slammed because he did not do any preparation or defense. The corner of his lips was spitting out fresh blood while his cheeks looked bluish. Kiran still did not want to fight, hence she tried to calm Rendi down once again.
"Can't you talk about it all right? I don't want to fight here. I still have a team to play for!" Kiran glanced back, looking at Edy who had now been marginalized by the other futsal children.
Despite being overcome by emotions and anger, Miraculously Kiran can still speak calmly. He is still trying hard to keep his emotions stable because the last time he got out of control, about 10 men Rendi battered and could not get up. Kiran doesn't want to hurt anyone, she just wants to stop this fight and bring Edy safely.
"Let's fight! I don't like peace!"
"Enhanced emotions, huh?"
"Hit thud, thud!"
Instead of breaking up the fight, the students who crowded actually supported this fight. They cheered, voicing echoes to keep the fight going.
Kiran shook her head not understanding, what the hell is the matter of these people?
Before Kiran realized, Rendi had already raised a fist back at her but this time she was able to dodge perfectly.
"Gue doesn't care! Even if it wasn't Edy who died today, it wouldn't matter!" Rendi clenched her lips tightly then raised her fist towards Kiran.
With solid horses, Kiran repelled Rendi's punch and kicked the man's waist with all her might, sending Rendi flung while groaning in pain.
Not staying silent, some friends of Rendi ran towards Kiran, trying to lift punches, kicks, even sledingan which all managed to be avoided by Kiran easily.
For some time, the fight continued at a ratio of 6:1 where Kiran was one while six was the number of Rendi plus his comrades. There was no blow that Kiran let down because she realized these people had no problem with her. A few minutes passed and the only thing Kiran did was to dodge. He must keep himself safe in order to bring victory to his team but he must also keep control to not hurt anyone.
Several other futsal team members tried to help but Kiran forbade them from interfering because her comrades had to stay in top shape during the match.
Not long after, two teachers came with water hoses. They sprayed water on the crowd of students who were suddenly making students who were busy watching the riot was in disarray.
"Go back to class everyone!" shouted Mr. Arman who felt very angry at the behavior of these students.
With an expression full of anger, he looked at the 6 male students who were seen standing in a position ready to beat Kiran.
"You 6, get to my office right now!" Mr. Arman charged Rendi and his comrades with a sharp gaze and a loud voice full of threats.
"You too!" he continued while staring at Edy, Kiran, and several other futsal children in turn.
Kiran sighed as she glanced at Edy who was looking at her with a battered face.
"Make it too!" Kiran said slowly that made Edy laugh and grimaced with pain.
Kiran helped Edy stand up then walked together towards the teacher's room. Today's events indirectly mark a continued clash between the futsal team and Rendi and his men. For children who only attach importance to caste and power like Rendi, he will never stop until he can get what he wants. It won't stop. It never will.
