Chandanas

Chandanas
Kiran (15)

"My father."

Kiran. His breath was choked, his eyes widened. Own father?

Kiran looked at Chandana as if in disbelief while the girl was still looking at her with tears growing more and more.

Without hesitation Kiran again grabbed Chandana into her arms, she held the girl closer and closer, hinting that Chandana would share all her burdens and sorrows with Kiran. So that they can bear it all together.

"My father had Tourette syndrome since he was a child. He married my mother who was a doctor and they loved each other. My father's love for us was so great that when my mother died in a fire, my father was devastated. She could not endure all her stress and sadness so she developed a behavioral disorder and started suffering from OCD. On the day she died she told me not to sleep until I got back, but I slept and I died. Every time he saw me fall asleep, he would beat me and torture me. He would go to his room every hour to make sure I didn't sleep. Dad thought, if she or I didn't sleep like you said before she died, you'd come back home" Chandana wiped the tears at the corners of her lips.

Kiran closed her eyes. He did not know how Chandana could go through all this suffering alone. Now that one question had been answered, although not completely relieved, Kiran felt a little calm after one question was answered.

He rubbed Chandana's back gently, "You can stay in my house, you can't be like that right?" Kiran nodded without thinking. The only thing he wanted to do was take Chandana away and make sure her safety was up.

Chandana let go of his embrace. He looked at Kiran then sobbed once more. This time it's louder than ever.

"You don't understand. I'm sorry, Kiran. But we'll never be together" Chandana covered her mouth with a palm, dodging when Kiran intended to grab it.

"What do I not understand? If your father is the problem, we can take care of him together. We can sleep alternately and wake up once every hour. I don't want to see you get hurt and bear everything by yourself" Kiran looked at Chandana confidently. Although he does not know how, he believes a definite solution can be found as long as Chandana wants to share all his problems and obstacles with Kiran and stop bearing all alone.

Chandana closed her eyes, she was sobbing, "A few months ago my father just got out of prison. He spent several years in prison for blinding the eyes of the owner of the hospital where he worked... He's the one who blinded your sister's eyes, Kiran. My father made your lives suffer! And that's why you and I can never be together!"

Kiran stepped back. Lies... Her... They're lying, right? Just making up stories... He just doesn't want to be with me... His father is not Mr. Arif... Lies..

"You lied!" Kiran screamed, she covered her ears as she fell to the ground.

Chandana looked at Kiran with a firmer sobbing, especially when she saw the man crying so much. Kiran was crying mercilessly. He screamed and hit his chest with his hands clenched. His chest felt tight, he could not breathe.

"Kira?" Chandana tried to get close to Kiran when she saw the man coughing.

Kiran tried hard to scoop up as much air as she could. With great difficulty he tried to breathe air from his nose and mouth, he again had difficulty breathing. Chandana ran towards Kiran in a panic. Tears continued to flow through his face and neck as Kiran brushed off Chandana's hand that was about to touch the man's back.

"Why you?" Chandana hysterical. He was confused to see Kiran in such a state.

Kiran looked at Chandana angrily, in disbelief in the midst of her attempt to breathe and endure the pain in her chest. He still can't believe everything. He still could not believe that Chandana was the daughter of that person. That cruel man.

Kiran was still trying to pull Chandana weakly as she began to run out of steam because she could not breathe normally. Slowly, Kiran began to soften. His body fell to the ground with a loud thumping sound. Both of his eyes slowly closed. Kiran lost consciousness.

---

The sound of the car engine roared softly while the horns from various sides sounded shrillly earthy. Roka glanced at the middle rearview, trying to see Kiran who was still lying unconscious in the back seat of the car.

Some time ago Chandana contacted her in a panic, saying that Kiran fainted at her home. Without asking much, Roka darted to Chandana's house using the car in Kiran's house. He is completely out of thought because Kiran went out of the house before he and Naya woke up from sleep. Now he has to transport Kiran unconscious.

"Undidna realize?" Roka again glanced towards the middle rearview as she noticed the movement of the previously weakly drooping figure.

Kiran rubbed her eyes. Her chest felt tight, "Where are you going?" he asked while trying to get up from a lying position.

"The hospital is. Lo why? What made you collapse earlier?" Roka asked while still focusing her attention on the highway.

Kiran shook her head slowly, "Lo will not believe this," he said softly.

Roka frowned, "What?" he said with an urgent tone.

Kiran did not speak anymore. What he had heard from Chandana was very mindblowing. It never occurred to me for a second that Chandana was the daughter of the villain who had ravaged Arda's life. He never imagined something like this would happen in his life. Consciously or not, since Kiran's meeting with Chandana a few months ago, impossible things and astonishing coincidences have continued to happen to both. I don't know if all this is called coincidence.

Destiny? Is this destiny? Kiran asked herself.

"Kok lo diem the anyink?" Roka asked again because Kiran did not answer him.

"Gue thought the perpetrator of the terror was not Mr. Arif," Kiran said in the end.

Although it is hard to believe, Kiran has been confronted directly with a vile criminal who has injured Arda. Unlike what he had imagined, the criminal had now turned into a thin man who did not look healthy at all. He even asked Kiran how she felt and cried after Kiran described all her past actions. To Kiran, Chandana's father doesn't look like someone who can do things like telling people to terrorize or watch over his friends. The man seemed to have lost his passion for life, let alone his passion for revenge. So it's very unlikely that he did it.

"Keep who?" Roka asked a question that was also circling in Kiran's head.

Kiran may feel angry and disappointed because Chandana just said it after many opportunities and togetherness during this time. He felt no trust at all.

However, Chandana is innocent of the crimes committed by her father. Whatever Arif has done to Kiran and the family, everyone has no right to hate Chandana for the Father's fault. Kiran felt a little relieved because in the end the biggest secrets Chandana kept seemed to begin to collapse along with one reality after another revealed. Now there are a few more secrets that need to be revealed from the figure of the girl he loves.

"How come you're dumb again?" Roka again asked as Kiran once again ignored him.

Kiran shook her head slowly and then said, "I went to the stadium."

"Crazy huh? You need to go to the hospital first!" Roka barked after hearing Kiran's request which he considered very difficult to grant.

"Gue is healthy! I have to go to the final match. I had to finish this game before I could really focus on who was behind all this crazy stuff!" Kiran squealed in frustration. This time, he had trouble controlling his emotions.

"Why are you so sure that this isn't a criminal? Previously he was in the first rank of suspect that we made semalem!" Roka tried to speak calmly. He himself also wondered why Kiran could change his beliefs and suspicions so quickly.

"Gue just met him. And I felt sure he wasn't the culprit," Kiran exhaled heavily as she recalled the middle-aged man.

Anyway, the guy's sick. As Chandana says, she suffers from behavioral disorders as well as OCD as a result of the complications of Tourette syndrome she suffered as a teenager. For some reason, the hatred that had been in Kiran's heart seemed to evaporate when she recalled how weak and helpless the figure was. Kiran seemed to feel the proclamation of the heinous actions that he had done a few years ago.

"Where are you from Chandana's house? Plis if it is clear that all of you do not get rich kang lo credit!" Roka let out a sigh of annoyance, he was also anxious to hear Kiran's explanation that seemed half-and-half.

With a long sigh, Kiran said, "He's Chandana's father. Mr. Arif is Chandana's father. He's mentally ill, he's sick. He also hit Chandana because of OCD. Let alone revenge to my family, a passion for life only he did not seem to have," Kiran bluntly said, making Roka step on the brakes of the car suddenly until they both compact jerked forward.

The horn sound of the vehicle behind them was practically earthy, making Kiran bang Roka's arm forcefully, "Sinting lo?"

"Seriously? Her.. Is he Chandana?" Roka asked with quivering pupils. He could not believe what he had just heard.

Kiran nodded weakly. He himself still finds it hard to believe.

"Crazy! Ape this anyway? What kind of sinetron? Crazy swear! Ahhggggggkkkk!" Roka hit the wheel of her car, channeling her frustration and shock.

Not only did Kiran hate that person, Roka's hatred was just as great. Seeing Kiran's peaceful and happy family destroyed makes hatred and anger embedded in Roka's heart.

"What about Cho Chandana?" Roka asked back. He knows very well how much Kiran feels for Chandana. He was sure this would not make Kiran give up on her love.

"Gue still hasn't thought of it. Now the most important thing is the safety of us all. Maybe I already know if the culprit is not Mr. Arif, so he has nothing to do."

Roka nodded in agreement. Kiran's words have a point.

"Lo sure you want to go to the stadium?" Roka made sure. He is reluctant to comply with Kiran's request, but he does not want to put the futsal team in a difficult position if he does not drive Kiran to the match.

Kiran nodded. Without asking any more questions, Roka drove her car in the opposite direction, penetrating the traffic crowd to head for the GOR and escorted Kiran to the big match waiting in plain sight.

After about 20 minutes of travel, they finally arrived at the stadium. At that time GOR looks very crowded with visitors from various age ranges. Merchants and booths filled the GOR court, children and adults seemed to be engrossed in playing around. In addition to the final match of the national futsal tournament, the fact that today is a weekend makes many people come there to just spend time with family.

Roka breezed towards the crowd of spectators who were watching the closing ceremony while Kiran walked to the inner area to meet her comrades who had been waiting in the changing room.

"Where are you from? You can't call!" Edy ambushed Kiran shortly after he entered the dressing room.

Everyone including his teacher had been there with their respective jerseys. Kiran who had just arrived was asked to change clothes immediately so that they could join and watch the closing ceremony.

After making sure Kiran had changed clothes and was wearing full attributes, they walked towards the place that had been provided to be able to watch the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Kiran could not enjoy the event at all. He continued to fidget so much that Edy who was sitting next to him began to notice Kiran's uneasiness.

"Lo why?" edy asked with a little scream because the crowd made his voice muffled.

"Something else to think about!" Kiran replied with a slight shout as well.

"Lo needs to focus! We have to win the game today, okay?" Edy gave her thumbs up with a big smile, trying to make Kiran regain her spirit and confidence.

Kiran nodded while taking her eyes off. From a distance, Kiran observed a row of spectator benches. There, he saw Rendi standing in confusion while looking up. Kiran who was confused tried to follow the direction of Rendi's view, as she realized that Rendi was staring straight at the big lights installed on the stadium's inner roof.

What's he looking for again?
