Chandanas

Chandanas
Section 27

Dozens of large buses that were originally lined up while driving constantly on the sloping road towards the top are now seen separating at a turn. Some buses carrying 12th graders take right direction while the rest take left direction.

The scenery on the left-right is more beautiful along with the closer they are to the destination. Cloudy and foggy weather blanketed their entire journey that morning. Some buses sound noisy and noisy by karaoke activities, some others look lonely and silent because many are asleep considering the cloudy and foggy weather that makes the desire to sleep more unstoppable. No exception Roka who snores while leaning her head on Kiran's shoulder.

Last night they slept enough at night because of watching a movie, it was only natural that Roka could not withstand the cold and ended up sleeping with a gaping mouth. Several times Kiran removed Roka's head from her shoulder as her friend was scraping like a full-blown b*bi, but in the end Roka's head stayed back against Kiran's shoulder.

In the bus they are not too crowded, most are now asleep while the rest are engrossed in casual chatting. Kiran sat right next to the window so that the only thing she did along the way was to be quiet while looking out, watching every other driver's movements or just reading the shop banners. Now they have entered the peak area, the scenery is very pampering the eyes and makes Kiran happy. Of course seeing tea plantations and mountains feels more interesting than looking at the shops and high buildings in the city.

During the approximately 3-hour drive, Kiran had wanted to read the kindle she brought from home, but she canceled her intention because of fear of feeling dizzy.

The journey continued, calm still enveloped the surroundings until the bus suddenly stopped, causing a loud, ear-splitting squeaking sound, jerking some children who were engrossed in sleep to hit the seat in front of them.

Roka woke up, he rubbed his eyes violently while muttering indistinctly, "What the hell is it?" it was the first sentence that Roka spoke as several children ran forward to see something ahead there from near the steering wheel.

Kiran sniffed her shoulders, not knowing, not interested.

Roka snorted as she tidied her hair, hesitatingly walking forward to see what was stopping their journey.

Kiran was still sitting in her place when a large bus carrying students from her school stopped right beside their bus. Kiran turned her head, watching the children from the next bus who also looked just as upset and surprised as the bus suddenly stopped. The transparent glass of the bus makes Kiran clearly see all the activities of the children from the bus next door. He was still watching from front to back when he saw a girl he knew was looking down while turning the page of a book.

Kiran smiled. He recalled that the reason for his interest in the girl was the book he had borrowed from the school library as well as the public library, but in fact until now he had never mentioned the book in front of Chandana.

Kiran's heart pounded quickly as Chandana squirmed in her chair while looking to the side, finding Kiran looking at her with sparkling eyes.

Chandana smile. They only looked at each other for some time when suddenly the bus that Kiran was riding on started to speed back up. Separating two people who are busy sharing words through the eyes. On the other hand, Roka walked back to her seat, turning her eyes to Kiran who had previously still looked at the blue bus they had now left behind.

"What's wrong?" ask Kiran.

Roka fixed her jacket then sat down in her place, "There's a dead antelope on the street. Don't know who hit."

Kiran raised both of her eyebrows, "Kijang?"

Roka nodded, pulled the plastic bag from under her chair then picked out a snack and opened the package, "You?"

Kiran shook her head, refocusing her attention out the window.

Time went so slowly along the way when they finally managed to arrive at an empty land that stretched like a football field with overgrown with short grass. A total of 7 buses have arrived. The children began to scatter out impatiently, vying to get their luggage out of the trunk of the bus.

Kiran got off the bus quietly because almost all the children had disembarked first. He pulls out his suitcase slowly when he realizes Chandana is trying to pull his luggage from the trunk of a blue bus parked right next to the bus Kiran was riding on.

Chandana doesn't realize that Kiran is right behind her because she stands her back to the man. Calmly, Kiran approached Chandana, "Need help?"

Chandana stepped back in surprise, knowing that the man was Kiran, Chandana stroked her chest in relief. "Can."

Kiran lifts Chandana's grey suitcase, then drops it right in front of Chandana. They walked hand-in-hand toward the ranks of the class group that had been adjusted to the draw the other day. Chandana circulates the view to find Naya, but it is too rowdy and crowded that she cannot find Naya anywhere.

Kiran glanced at the restless looking Chandana, the girl actually looked less used to the crowd. "Chandana is here first, later after the new apple is looking for Naya. We live in the same villa, right?"

Chandana turned her head, almost forgetting that she was with Kiran. And for that, his heart felt a little calm. "I forgot that there was you."

"So you really are like a chick again nyari mama," teased Kiran that makes Chandana feel embarrassed.

Not so long ago, several companion teachers began to spread out to arrange the rows of students to make them look more presentable and orderly. The headmaster who now looks relaxed by wearing a sports suit also gave a brief description of what to do after this. He also warned that all students adhere to the rules of the event while avoiding things that are prohibited to do during the event.

Chandana tidied her hair as the wind stopped blowing. Kiran glanced at the girl, a small leaf stuck in her hair.

"Chandana, I'm sorry." Kiran took the leaves and then tidied up Chandana's hair by gently rubbing it.

Chandana threw away her face as well as Kiran who directly scratched her non-itchy ears. He did not know the simple thing he had just done would make his heart feel like it wanted to squeeze out through the chest. The two were still busy holding back the embarrassment as one walked briskly with a large black suitcase from behind, then nudged Kiran's shoulders so tight that it almost made him fall on the downhill road they are going through at this time.

Chandana was surprised to see Kiran almost fall down, "Kiran! You okay?"

Kiran shook her head slowly, then saw who hit her shoulder from behind.

Kiran sighed as she saw Rendi turning towards her with a cynical smile. Kiran even had time to think their problem was over, but of course it is not possible in the near future. Seeing how the way Rendi looked at Chandana with a vengeful face alone had already made Kiran's blood boil. I don't know what was in Rendi's mind to the heart to disturb Chandana who was even just near him was scared to death.

Chandana looked at Kiran with worry, her eyes filled with guilt. Kiran turned to look at him, then smiled briefly, "Why? Not because of your nolongin. I'm the same Rendi has not been able to get along since before I met you. Don't worry."

Chandana held back a smile seeing Kiran's confidence. "Why so confident? I'm not worried about you."

Kiran gaped in disbelief. "Huh? Okay, where's Rendi-"

"Yes-yes. I was just kidding. I just don't want you to get hurt because of me." Chandana runs ahead of Kiran.

Kiran smiled shyly.

So do I, Chandana. I don't want you to get hurt because I'm like that girl, like Arda, or anything like that.

---

The villa complex which is the venue for outbound activities for students in the 11th grade of Tunas Kelapa High School looks quite crowded. This luxury villa complex is the property of one of the alumni who are happy to rent it to the school at affordable prices to support the implementation of school activities held every year. One villa itself consists of 2 large house buildings with complete facilities consisting of fifteen rooms each.

Of course one building is specifically for women while another building is specifically for men. This villa complex is designed specifically for holiday activities with large capacity. In addition to its grandeur, each villa also features a garden, back garden, and a swimming pool that is quite spacious. In each room there is also a bathroom in order to add to the comfort of visitors.

On the first night they were in this place, the first activity was a careful intelligent race conducted in the hall building which was in the center of the complex. The building is usually rented as a wedding building, but now the school uses it as a gathering arena or a means of carrying out several activities.

After the group split in the afternoon, Roka coincidentally was on the same team as Chandana and also Rendi, while Kiran was on a team with Naya and Ratih along with 7 others. At that time, Kiran only found out that Rendi had been in the same class as Ratih. He could not imagine how tortured the girl became the moons of Rendi and her friends. On the other hand, Kiran felt a little worried by the fact that Chandana was one team with Rendi. Although Roka has convinced Kiran that he will take care of Chandana, Kiran remains unsettled. Even to this day he did not take his eyes off the girl.

"Smart careful this time you same Ratih ya who follow? You're both going to be cool," Bagas urged Kiran, trying to convince her friend to represent their team.

Now each team is forming a circle to discuss, choosing the two members they will send to participate in the intelligent race carefully. Kiran who had been busy stealing glances to the Chandana team was surprised by Bagas' proposal because her friend knew very well Kiran was reluctant to appear in public or be the center of attention.

"No, you know I can't." Kiran refused subtly.

Naya looked at the debate carefully. Occasionally he glanced at Ratih who did not distract him from Kiran. From there Naya concludes that Ratih really likes Kiran. Even after Kiran's treatment a few months ago, she still looked at Kiran with sparkling eyes and full of admiration. Naya was worried, how would it be if Ratih was treated better by Kiran, the girl would be more and more fond of him. What about Chandana?

If you look at it, Ratih is indeed very beautiful. Her jet-black shoulder-length hair made her look very fresh, her face clean and her smile beautiful. She looks like a professional model with idelic posture and proportionate height. Chandana is no less beautiful. His friend had very beautiful eyes with long, wiry lashes, a tiny face with crescent eyes that would be seen every time he smiled. Behind her own face, Chandana has pale skin and long, beautiful hair. Her skin was smooth and her body was slender. Although he may be a few centimeters shorter than Ratih, Naya believes it is no big deal.

Physically, the two are not much different, they are equally beautiful. Now in terms of nature. If Naya can deduce from the brief observation she just made, Ratih is a cheerful and talk-active girl, she is intelligent and a good thinker. The girl was very charismatic with her outspoken and confident voice, she was also generous with smiles to everyone, appreciating every one of them who tried to express their opinions. With all the things that Ratih had, Naya was really hard not to notice because Ratih was indeed that attractive. No wonder the girl is so popular with everyone. Even if in the next few years Naya heard the news that Ratih won the Princess of Indonesia beauty event, she would not be surprised at all.

On the other hand, Chandana is a quiet and very calm person. He was so graceful and careful. Chandana always looks beautiful and meek, she attracts attention even when she is doing nothing. He rarely speaks, but is very attentive and enthusiastic when he hears others speak. Chandana is also shy and humble. Despite spending a lot of time with Chandana lately, Naya still does not really recognize the girl. It is very secretive and mysterious. If Ratih can make Naya recognize her character just by looking a little, Chandana is different. The girl was unfathomable and full of mystery. Every time they do something together, there's always something new about Chandana that Naya first knows.

Satisfied at the thought, Naya observes Kiran. Guessing what kind of girl he would choose. A fun one like Ratih, or a soothing one like Chandana.
