Section 18 (Flashback pt.2)

Kiran pedaled her bike even stronger as she passed by police cars and an ambulance speeding in the same direction as her. Although he hopes that what is now on his mind is not true, but still terbesit worry that the two cars may be heading to his house, whether because of what and for whom, what is certain is that the worry in Kiran's heart continues to grow along with the increasingly eroding distance to the house.

Kiran took a deep breath just before passing the final turn of the luxury residential complex where she and her family lived. In his heart, Kiran hopes not to find the two cars that had made him parno and think that no-no on the way. After passing through the turn, he was stunned when from a distance saw the crowd right in front of his house. Two cars that he had previously seen were already parked there along with several police officers and hospitals who looked panicked and running.

Kiran's heart pounded as she got off the bike. Some neighbors tried to hug him and said some comforting sentences that he did not fully understand. Wh why? What was? it was a sentence that kept filling his head. He dropped his bike in front of the fence while carrying the food he had bought some time ago. Slowly, tears bathed his eyes as he saw splashes of blood in several corners of the house.

An officer came up to Kiran and tried to restrain her from entering the house. But Kiran did not heed the officer's words and kept walking in. His ears seemed to not function, he seemed unable to hear anything even though the atmosphere in his house was so rowdy. Despite his flat expression, tears did not stop pouring from Kiran's two beautiful eyeballs. His heart beat rapidly as his footsteps led him into the house. A dozen police officers and several medical officers left here and there.

*brak*

Kiran was the shortest when she heard the sound of falling objects. A dozen police officers are trying to secure someone Kiran knows very well. His new driver, with a face and clothes drenched in blood, was staring at Kiran with a vile smile. Not long after, their eyes met. Kiran fell silent as she looked at the happy face of the man, as if the man had just won a victory over something that Kiran did not understand.

The police forcefully pulled Arif towards the door to take him out of the house. When he got to Kiran, the man tried to hold his body to align Kiran, trying to ask the police officer who led him to speak to the Master for a while, "It's still nothing. But, I wish you a happy birthday" she whispered softly.

Hearing the driver's words made Kiran lose self-control. He screamed and tried to hit the fat man with all his might. Kiran screamed, cried, and acted like a person who had lost his sanity. One officer tried to calm her down while the other pulled Arif out of the house. Kiran did not stop staring at the monstrous man, amid his sobbing he continued to rebel and wanted to beat up the man. Kiran didn't understand, I don't know what was really going on right now. Where did the blood come from, where was his current sister, Kiran did not understand. All he knew was that he wanted to chase after the driver and hit him with all his might. Seeing the gaze and the way Mr. Arif smiled made Kidan cringe. He was even more horrified that the man knew of a birthday that he himself had almost forgotten.

Kiran is still rebelling when a medic brings the body of a toddler whom Kiran believes to be her younger sister. Kiran tried to remove the handles of some officers to run over to the sister whose clothes were covered in blood. Although his strength was not comparable to the adults holding him back, Kiran managed to break free and ran towards her sister. The sight made Kiran scream even louder.

*tiit tiit tiit*

Kiran woke up from sleep. His breath hunted, sweat and tears drenched his face and his pillow. He had a bad dream.

With the consciousness still not fully gathered, Kiran sat on the bed while breathing out. Hearing the news that the horrible man had come out of prison had a considerable impact on Kiran. Given what he saw that day made Kiran always feel afraid and trembling, the traumatic experience that occurred at that time also made Kiran very hate her own birthday. Whenever the people congratulated him on getting older, Kiran always felt sad and angry at herself because that was the day Arda lost her sight. It was on that day that he failed to become a good brother, failing to protect Arda.

At that time Kiran was confused, what sin Arda had committed until he could do something very heinous to a child who had not even smoothly spoken. Over the years shrouded in questions, Kiran learns that the man is no ordinary driver. He is the husband of a specialist doctor who had worked in one of the private hospitals run by Kiran's father. He is also the only son of an entrepreneur who can be considered quite successful. The man is known to be quiet and friendly by his surroundings, he is also known to suffer a bit of mental retardation, but his attitude and behavior change after the death of his wife.

Kiran hears that the reason she works at Kiran's house is to take revenge on her father. He thought the death of his wife was the fault of Kiran's father who was not good at running the business so that there was a work accident that later lost his wife's life. Of course the work accident that occurred was beyond the control of Kiran's father, even to make up for the guilt, the family of Pak Arif had received a fantastic amount of money from the company that Kiran's father managed.

Even so, Arif did not feel satisfied and vent all his frustration to the Kiran family who did not even know about the work accident that befell his wife. Pradipta - father Kiran - runs a company that runs businesses in various fields, the hospital where Arif's wife works is only one among dozens of business fields managed by Pradipta. Therefore he was confused why Arif vent everything on himself who was even responsible by providing insurance with a very large amount.

But what can be done. Neither Kiran nor her family had any choice but to be vigilant. They never knew what would happen after Arif was released from prison. To that end, Kiran hoped that nothing bad would happen again. Just now that he had gained peace and tranquility after years of stressful life, Kiran now did not want everything to be destroyed just like that.

With mixed feelings, Kiran walked to the bathroom, trying to wash herself with all the thoughts and worries that had stuck in her heart.
