Moonlight illuminates the night, housing, along with quiet streets that are not crowded passed by people. On this silent and starless night, people were still carrying out their activities normally, as usual. The merchants still sell in stalls, shops, even on the side of the road. Consumers who are accustomed to going out at night to spend their money are still consuming without even caring about the presence of the moon or stars in the night sky.
Everyone is too busy with their own business. Too busy taking care of yourself to forget the little things that they think do not mean much. This is the opposite of Edy. While everyone is still doing all their activities and activities without being affected by the presence of the moon and stars in the sky, Edy is not as usual.
Now, Edy is sitting cross-legged on a bamboo chair while looking up into space. It is not lazing or moping with staring and wailing in the shade of the night sky, but he is thinking and planning how he can realize his plan b after the piece he controls fails to carry out the task properly.

Amidst the silence of the night that Edy loved so much, the noise that arose nearby made the thick-bodied man cluck in annoyance. He glimpsed an iron door that had been lying since someone continued to bang on it from inside.
"Can you shut up? Don't make me angry!" Edy shouted from his place. Not too long ago, the noise from behind the door vanished. There was nothing left but the wind and the sound of the night beast.
Edy sighed. He is still busy thinking so he does not have much time to be able to play around with the person behind the iron door.
After making sure nothing could bother him, Edy leaned back on the bamboo chair he was sitting on. As long as he remembered, this chair he had made together with his 'Master. Honey, now Edy can no longer make objects or home furnishings with the man, even to just talk Edy can not.
Imagining about his Master made Edy remember how their encounters in the past had been.
At that time, Edy was just a weak and fragile child. He was one of dozens of orphans who grew up in a small orphanage that did not treat and care for the children who lived there well.
When he could not eat and sleep properly, Edy got bullying from some children because it was considered the weakest and useless. Every day, he had to face a cruel and abusive home mom and friends who were stupid and ignorant not playing.
All children should wash their own clothes, clean the parlour, and help with work that adults should have done. Because he was ostracized by other friends, Edy had to be willing to go the extra mile to wash clothes and do work that was not his duty.
Edy can't do much. He could only remain silent and harbor all his resentment and anger. Every now and then he thought of a way to avenge all the children who hurt him. Edy even wrote down all the plans he thought of in a small book so that he could read it whenever he was upset and angry at the treatment he received.
Edy also likes to read and analyze things. Although there were not many books that he could read in the orphanage, at least there were free newspaper submissions that they received every day. No one really cares and wants to read the newspaper. Mother boarding collects her newspapers to be sold again or used as a bedding for some children who do not go to the mat. Edy always got up early in the morning to pick up the newspaper and read it before the housewife took the newspaper during the day. Therefore, Edy is very up to date with the news that is going on around them. Edy is also no stranger to crime and all other factual matters.
Horrible days continue to color Edy's life until he arrives at a time that successfully changes and twists his fate.
Edy remembered the day with all the details in it. Saturday morning, a white car with a red cross on either side came to their orphanage. All the children of the orphanage were excited to know that there will be health workers who provide immunization and medical check-ups for free on them.
Edy wasn't as excited as the others, he just stayed by the door as he nodded. Worth yesterday the house mom told us all to pull out the grass, clean all the corners of the parlour, and put us in nice clothes. Apparently there was another meaning.
The young doctors began to prepare all the equipment for their activities that morning. Everything they did was commanded by a beautiful woman who looked several years older than the young doctors who were in the middle of a row. His face was very soft and pleasant to look at even 9-year-old Edy.
After all the preparations were made, the orphanage mother assisted with some young doctors arranged the children into several rows. Each row consists of 7-9 children who must queue to get their turn checked by 7 different doctors.
Either by chance or how, Edy was in the line of the beautiful Lady Doctor. From a distance, Edy looks at and observes how the doctor works. The woman smiled brightly and kindly while trying to get the children to talk. He seemed very attentive and caring to the other children. Hundreds of times better and friendlier than a nursing home mom.
Time keeps going. Edy who was originally in the back of the sequence began to advance little by little after the children in front of him completed their immunization and check up. When there were two more children left before Edy got her turn, a little girl who came out of nowhere was seen running towards the Woman Doctor. Behind him walked a not-so-fair adult male, but his lips did not get tired of commenting on a charming knotty smile.
The Little Girl ran, then landed smoothly in the arms of the Woman Doctor. Edy watched this carefully. For the first time in life, Rendi sees a girl who somehow looks very pretty and catches her attention.
"Why are you here?" said the Woman Doctor without loosening the embrace of the Little Girl.
"Say to see you work in this orphanage. He said he wanted to come because there must be a lot of children his age," instead of the Little Girl, the Adult Man who first answered questions from the woman's doctor.
"Mom is working. You're the same dad for a second. Can be acquainted with the children who are here as well," said the Woman Doctor.
Hearing her mother's words just now, the Little Girl nodded in agreement. He grabbed his father's hand and went to the other children who were seen playing after completing their health checks. Edy was still busy looking at the little girl. Edy estimated his age to be no younger than her. Maybe one year old or one year older. For sure Edy really can not turn his eyes and concentration on the girl. It is very cheerful and bright, too interesting to waste.
Apparently, time went slower for Edy because he was busy admiring the little girl until he did not realize that the Woman Doctor had repeatedly called him because the dudab had come to be examined. Shortly after realizing that he had been called many times, Edy rushed to sit in the plastic chair in front of the doctor.
"Baggio. You look tired, how long do you sleep one day?"
The Female Doctor performs health procedures to check for Edy. His hands skillfully took and placed the available medical devices around him. Meanwhile, he not only kept quiet and did his job, but tried to talk to the boys he checked so they did not tense up and feel more relaxed when examined. Edy didn't escape from him. The difference is, Edy is more quiet because he does not immediately answer the doctor's question.
It came to Edy's mind to reveal all the treatment and injustice he received during his stay and life in this orphanage. It was like Edy was shouting his frustration and grievance so that the rotten orphanage was burned off from the face of the earth. However, Edy could not just explain everything clearly. Not without evidence and testimony of other residents of the parlour. At least that's what he read in the paper.
After considering the answer he had to give, Edy said, "Not long enough. I'd rather read than sleep."
Hearing Edy's words made the Doctor surprised. He glanced at Edy at a glance, "What are you reading?" then refocused his focus and attention on the blood pressure device that had now been coiled in Edy's arm.
"The newspaper" Edy answered frankly.
Edy felt sure that by saying everything honestly and naturally, the doctor before him would be interested in his personality that tends to be different from other children his age. And if her conjecture is correct, Edy feels confident that the doctor may be paying more attention to her. That way, it will be easier for Edy to get the support and trust of the doctor in case he manages to steal the attention and become closer to the Doctor.
"A kid your age reads newspapers? That's grand. Most children prefer reading fairy tales or picture books. Yes, although the newspaper also has a picture, do you have no trouble digesting the writing?" the doctor began to show interest in Edy. Naturally, since then he only examined normal children who like to play, run, and even prank his friends. Meeting a nine-year-old who liked to read newspapers made the doctor consider Edy a unique child.
"No. I love it because everything in the paper is real. Events that occur in the environment and society. So even though I can't go anywhere but stay in the parlour, I can tell what's going on out there. What are people doing outside the parlour" Edy explained.
The Woman Doctor was surprised to hear Edy's words. He was not inexhaustible, how could a boy have such thoughts? He was both amazed and amazed by Edy. He thought the boy before him might be an intelligent child with a high IQ score. How to digest and answer questions is much better and connect when compared with children who met the Doctor before.
"You're school?" the doctor asked. Now he is fully focused on Edy after completing all the tasks and health procedures he needs to do.
Edy nodded, "Sunday School. There are usually volunteers who come here to teach us to read and count."
The Female Doctor nodded, "But a child as smart as you feels too bad if not school. Do you want to go to school? Wear a uniform and come to school every Monday to Saturday?"
Although Edy tends to think a step ahead and mature compared to children his age, he is still a boy. He is still a child who has a dream and desire to get a more decent education than he has received in this terrible place.
Edy nodded enthusiastically. His eyes sparkled happily after hearing the doctor's words.
The doctor welcomed Edy's nod by rubbing his head. He reached into his white coat pocket and then pulled out a business card, "Mom will adopt you. But before that, you think carefully. You can call Mom on the number on this business card when you are sure. I'll come here again when you're really willing to adopt. No need to rush, I'll wait for your decision."
After the doctor finished his sentence, Edy felt very happy. He was very happy not to play. He even felt that what he had just heard was just a dream and a delusion.
Edy pocketed the business card that the Doctor gave with enthusiasm, then got off the chair and jumped up and over with laughter. At that time Edy thought that he would be completely adopted and could soon leave this horrible rotten orphanage. He thought everything would go well for him and the Doctor who was about to adopt him. Edy even imagined that he would soon become a brother to the Doctor's daughter. That lovely and cheerful little girl.
One day passed after the arrival of the hospital. Edy who believes that he will soon be adopted also began to show resistance to some children who often bully him. He even refused to wash his own clothes because he thought that he would not meet again with the mother of the house and all his cruel friends.
But damn it to Edy. Although she had told all the children that she would be adopted soon, the mother did not allow her to use the phone so Edy could not contact the Doctor Mother.
On the other hand, Edy who had already angered his friends was even more bullied and tortured. He began to get physical abuse from other children. In fact, when Edy tried to sneak into the room Mother Panti to use the phone, a child caught him and reported the action to Mother Panti so that Edy had to receive punishment and torture which was quite severe.
As he suffered more and more, Edy read a news story about a food poisoning case that occurred at a school in the capital. It is said that many students were poisoned by consuming expired milk. This apparently gave Edy an idea. If he can't reach the doctor, he can meet him at the hospital. Or instead, he can bring the entire parlor to the hospital.
Edy smiled a little. He reached into his pants pocket and then took out a business card given by the Doctor. Wait for me, Mom.
