It was getting dark when Roka was still busy lazing in front of Kiran's computer screen. This day Naya had sent him a short message dozens of times but of course Roka was reluctant to respond to Naya. Although he realized that none of this had anything to do with Naya, however, now whenever he thought of Naya, Roka would always remember her mother's betrayal.
Roka sighed while playing the computer mouse, she glanced at her phone once more when she saw the object lit up because there was an incoming notification. After making sure that the short message is not from Naya, Roka grabs her phone and opens the message menu.
"What to eat?" roka muttered after reading the short message Kiran had sent for her.
Since going to Bandung this morning, until now Kiran has not returned home. Now it seems that Kiran is already on her way home as she sends a message to Roka asking if there is something that her best friend wants.
After thinking for a while, Roka decided to get Kiran to buy her a variety of fast food and carbonated drinks so that later they could eat together while sharing stories.
Time passed slowly because there was nothing interesting that Roka could do at this time. Watching a movie that usually makes him excited is now tasteless because he has difficulty concentrating. Therefore Roka decided to turn off the commouter in front of her, then walk and lay down on the bed.
Roka stared at the ceiling of Kiran's room with a blank look. I don't know why he felt it was too complicated for him. Indeed Roka admitted that all this time he was a relaxed and easy going person. He also rarely bothered about things and did not want to think too hard like Kiran. Problems like this felt very difficult and confusing for Roka. He doesn't know how or what to do after this.
Should he stay away from Naya? Or should he try to forgive his mother and try to hear the explanation of the woman who betrayed him and his father a few years ago?
Roka pulled the bolster next to him impatiently and then clenched it tightly. He really can't make big decisions like this alone. He needs Kiran to convince himself what his best friend did a while ago when he and Naya had a big fight at Moonbuck.
That afternoon, after Roka walked away from the cafe with a burning anger, Kiran ran up to him in the parking lot, trying to persuade and calm Roka with various efforts.
"Let me take the bike!" Kiran pushes Roka's body plan to take over her best friend's motorcycle.
Roka jerked Kiran's hand violently, "Ngapain is lo? I want to be alone!"
Kiran pulled Roka's arm, "Lo again emotion! Don't you think I'll let you take the vehicle in a rich state of gini!"
Roka let out a frustrated sigh, she still felt angry and could not accept Naya's words. Although Roka did not blame Kiran's previous advice, he still had a hard time accepting her mistakes.
"Lo don't be selfish! By acting like you have hurt Naya and yourself! Do you like Naya? I understand, and for that do not behave like a child. You can hate your mother, but you can't hate women! They have no right to be punished for what they did not do!" Kiran tries to make Roka understand the situation by reminding her once again.
Roka smiled disdainfully, "Free, it's all for free! Likey? Bullshits! I wouldn't like any woman. They're all the same! In the end they will hurt me as she did me and my dad!"
Kiran rolled her eyeballs. He knew Roka was stubborn, but he didn't expect his best friend to be this stubborn. With a single jolt, Kiran grabbed onto Roka's shoulder with both hands making Roka speechless while looking at her. The two of them stayed in that position because Kiran just kept quiet while continuing to grip Roka's shoulder, waiting for her best friend to be a little calmer.
"Lo can be afraid of heartache, you can be afraid of being hurt. But never be afraid of love."
Kiran released her grip on Roka who was now beginning to calm down with her breath having regained order. Roka's originally stiffened body now began to soften along with an expression that also grew calmer along with the change of seconds and minutes.
"Gue doesn't want to be left behind" Roka said softly.
Kiran sighed while patting Roka on the back, "Lo must believe. Even if you can't believe in women, like Naya, you can't believe the same heart you said."
That afternoon Kiran managed to make Roka realize everything. Now Kiran's words are playing back in her mind like a movie tape. He must be able to trust his heart. He must stop being selfish and give others a chance, to himself.
Roka was still trying to re-digest everything Kiran had said when she found the door open and saw that the figure who had been going all day to Bandung had arrived with two large crackles in his hand.
Roka looked at Kiran who was standing with a clumsy smile, "By-by from Bandung, Bro!"
Roka leaped from the bed while smelling the aroma of fried chicken from one of Kiran's crackles, "Buset! Our party's this malem!"
"Whisper you, help bring the times!" Kiran thrust one of the crackle bags in her hand at Roka.
In spirit, Roka grabbed the crackle and sat cross-legged on the velvet carpet that lay right next to Kiran's bed. He brought out one by one the food that was in there impatiently.
"Nih, by-the-lo bokap love," Kiran thrusts a box of moci and a dozen instant aci basos to Roka.
"Wadaw, it's me who's going to talk!" Roka grabbed the gift of Kiran with sparkling eyes.
Kiran only nodded briefly while putting the rest of the souvenirs in the corner of the room, "Lo eat first. I'm gonna take a really hot pegel shower all day."
Roka nodded as she ate the fast food Kiran had bought for her. With the spirit of Roka enjoying the food that still feels warm. Come to think of it, during this holiday he has consumed a lot of fast food. Although Kiran always provides healthy food as well as home cooking for her, but Roka's appetite never goes out. Coupled with the intensity of his exercise is reduced, abs in his stomach is now barely visible due to the pile of fat results from his uncontrolled diet.
While Roka continued to chew and chew, Kiran had finished changing clothes and sat down with Roka to eat the food she had bought.
"Well, how are you?" Kiran grabbed the milk box that she had indeed bought specifically for herself a while ago.
"Gue had a chat with Chandana and my Mama," Kiran tried to bluntly respond to the problem that befell Roka.
Honestly, Kiran had a hard time enjoying her time because she kept worrying about Roka. As usual Kiran is a person who thinks about things too often and always wants to solve every problem quickly and precisely. Therefore he could not wait and let this matter go any longer.
"Where?" Roka showed her interest despite still busily chewing.
"The point is that they both support you so you talk to you. The problem must be solved rather than avoided. You are equally likely to avoid each other because you are both afraid of what you will hear. But look now, the unfinished problem is causing new problems for you, "Kiran tried to summarize all the opinions and input of the two women he loved so much.
Roka put the chicken thigh that had stayed the bone on the plate while cleaning the corners of her lips, "Gue was scared. I was afraid that my conversation was right. If I think I'm just thinking of me as a real person in his life. If he didn't expect me at all. I was afraid that I would have to take all of that away from her," Roka lowered her head weakly. He realized that Kiran's words were true.
"But you can't avoid like this forever, right? You have to be brave! Not necessarily what you think is true. Who knows, all this time he passed something heavy and that was the main reason he left you," Kiran patted Roka on the shoulder, trying to give her confidence.
"But how-"
"Even if what you're going to hear is something painful, you're not curious anymore. As if by that you are relieved and know the truth. You can set your heart and decision after hearing everything. Give yourself a chance, for your mother, for Naya. It's as if that way you can solve all of this well. There was no avoiding the problem anymore," Kiran interrupted Roka's speech. He wants to make Roka feel confident and not afraid anymore because at least this is what he can do after all the help that Roka has given for him and Chandana so far.
Roka sighed, "Naya called me dozens of times. I'm sure he must be confused about all of this. I think you're real. I have to meet the guy and let him explain what he needs to explain, after that I can confidently make the next decision."
"Tumbe lo kinda pinteran a little?" Kiran grabbed a piece of chicken from the bucket next to Roka.
"Gue is smart and smart yes sori aje lu!" Roka clung to Kiran's head abruptly.
"Thank you, you are my best friend who I can andelin!"
Kiran smiled, "If not for each other, who else can we andelin for?"
Roka laughed as she rubbed Kiran's hair with her hands still covered in chicken oil, "Eat this!"
"Remain? Wow b*ngke lo yes!" Kiran pushes Roka away from her after smelling the scent of chicken around her hair and face.
Roka was still laughing as she recalled something, "Eh yes. When's futsal tournament?"
Kiran rubbed her hair with a grim face, "Tomorrow the day after. First day of school."
"Buckoo! Why did you say lo?" Roka nearly choked on the fried chicken after hearing Kiran's words just now.
"I also said ama elo yes jablay! I'm going to wash my sono!" Kiran moved out of place when she realized that the smell of this chicken would not go away before she washed her hair.
Roka tilted her body when she realized Kiran was throwing a kick at her, she then laughed at Kiran's annoyed expression because of the prank she was doing.
After seeing Kiran enter the bathroom, Roka grabbed a tissue to clean her hands of the chicken and oil scraps and grabbed her phone.
Doubtfully, Roka searched Naya's number then called her.
*tuuut... tuuutt*
"Hello!"
Roka closed her eyes while keeping her phone away from her ears when she heard a loud screech from across.
"Hello."
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry. I´m... I'm confused.. I am also confused as to what to do. Don't avoid rich gini. You tell me, you tell me what to do.."
Roka was silent when she heard Naya's voice. Obviously the girl is now sobbing.
"Gue also apologized. This is too shocking. I am confused about all this too. I do not understand why everything can be rich gini," said Roka slowly. He lost the ability to write words.
"Gue should what? Mama Gu-I mean I nyokap lo bladder since yesterday also constantly crying. He told me that he wanted to talk to you. He wants to make sure everything is the same. I´m.. I don't know what to do.."
"Lo told him I wanted to beat him. Lo said that tomorrow I wait for him in a strong man's place," said Roka who immediately turned off his call without waiting for Naya's answer.
For Roka to hear Naya's voice was very painful because every time she thought of Naya, the only shadow that came to her mind was a whole and happy family. A family made up of children, fathers, and mothers. The mother who should have equipped the Roka family. The mother she should have but now belongs to someone else.
