Chandanas

Chandanas
Naiya (6)

Roka's shortest, he didn't expect Naya to propose something that he never expected. Nervously and hesitantly, Roka tried to ascertain Naya's seriousness, "Huh? Do you want to know me to your parents? That would be the same as me, right?"

Naya grinned, although she was unconscious when she suddenly asked Roka to meet her stepmother, but Naya was serious about it. Her stepmother was a wise and very motherly figure. Naya believes that Roka might feel comfortable talking or talking to her mother. Naya's initial intention was only to help Roka find safety and comfort and extract a little information from Roka through her stepmother. Maybe Roka will be more open and willing to tell a story if with a motherly figure like Rosa. But hearing Roka's words just now inevitably make Naya's cheeks blush, she realized that asking a man to meet parents could connote wanting to establish a serious relationship.

"Lo son! No such thing. Lo inget right, you ever tell me that your parents lack the same attention lo. I just want you to meet my stepmother, the person is really nice and I think you will be comfortable to talk to her. Want huh?" Naya tries to convince Roka. He really wanted Roka to be frank and open, even though not on her at least to her mother.

At first, Roka was hesitant. Instead of not wanting to, Roka only felt afraid if she would disappoint Naya. What if Roka does something that makes Naya's mom not like her? What if he made a mistake that would later become a problem or a hindrance to his relationship with Naya later on? Roka worries about that because she is not used to facing a mother other than Liliana - Kiran's mother, even to her own mother Roka is very hateful and disliked.

With a little nudge from Naya and some deliberation, Roka decided to comply with Naya's request with the note that Naya must accompany Roka and remind him if Roka wants to do or even has done something wrong in both speech and action.

Naya smiled, responding to Roka's terms, "Gue hope you can get to know him. Yes even stepmother, but she is really an amazing person in my opinion," Naya can not hide her happiness, can't wait to see how the interaction will occur between Roka and her mother Rosa.

Faintly, a smile was engraved on Roka's lips when she heard Naya tell her about how good her stepmother was. When hearing Naya's description and story, Roka can make sure that the person she will meet is a kind and loving person. Once hesitant and afraid, now Roka is confident and optimistic that their meeting will be a good start to knit the family rope.

"Lo's birth mother.." Roka who had heard Naya say without offending her birth mother was powerless not to ask about it.

Naya turned to look at Roka and smiled bitterly, "My biological mother has died a long time ago. That's why I can get a great mom like my stepmom. Believe me, you would agree with all my compliments about him!"

Roka grabbed Naya's hand, rubbing it slowly as she felt guilty for offending Naya's mother, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to open your old wounds."

Naya smiled, "It's okay. He died a long time ago anyway. Talking about it doesn't make me sad anymore."

Roka nodded and said, "My parents divorced a few years ago. My father was very busy and rarely at home. My mother is kind and affectionate with me, but I feel her affection for me is no greater than her affection for her own world. He cheated on me and left me alone. He destroyed my faith and preferred to live with others. That's why I'm always skeptical and consider all women to be just like him. Once you believe it, they will hurt you," Roka glanced at Naya who looked surprised to hear the story.

"Well that was my opinion a while ago before we debated the coachman at Moonbuck. Lo realized me, Kiran also realized that it turns out my perception all this time is not entirely true," Roka glanced at Naya who now wore an expression that Roka was unable to understand.

Naya glazed over as she stopped stepping by holding onto Roka's arm so the man stopped his steps, "I'm sorry. I should have understood you better."

Roka shook her head slowly, "Understanding someone can be done in various ways. We had clashed at that time and unconsciously now we can understand each other. Every quarrel always has its own good side" Roka smiled knotfully, then resumed his steps.

Naya walked following Roka from behind. Several times he helped Roka to take pictures of the man or vice versa. They spend a lot of time joking and enjoying the beautiful natural scenery. Several times they talked about Kiran and Chandana, what they are doing right now, and their success in bringing the two together.

Naya and Roka also had time to talk again about her brother's debt problem which was suddenly repaid by an unknown person. Roka told Naya to stay as alert as possible and not to let her guard down. They never know what the person's intentions and desires are. After all, the strange thing is how the person knows that Naya's sister has enough debt especially to pay off all her debts. According to Roka's estimation, that person must be someone who knew Naya or her sister. The person must be quite close to them because he knows a problem that even Naya's parents do not know.

Roka tells Naya that she will always be there whenever Naya needs someone. Roka would always come whenever Naya felt insecure. And with all the confidence he had, Naya agreed to Roka's offer. Even if something happens that they did not expect before, Roka will be the first person Naya will contact.

Fun time always passes quickly and is not felt. And so did the time they spent together that day. It did not feel like the day had begun to take an afternoon as cloudy clouds began to roll and envelop the sky above them. Naya and Roka rush to contact Kiran and Chandana to get to the car immediately and return home before it rains.

It didn't take long, Kiran and Chandana walked together towards the car with happy faces and timid smiles from both of them. Naya who observed this from inside the car also involuntarily smiled. For some reason it was so happy to see Kiran and Chandana look this happy while not before.

Naya remembers her first meeting with Kiran. It was the first basketball game for Naya and Roka. With no expression at all, a very handsome man came to the waiting room of the player with so much food and drink to encourage Roka and the rest of the team who participated in the match. Naya wondered what the hell this guy meant? He intended to encourage his friend but his expression was very stiff and moody. He even only spoke briefly to Roka and flushed out of the waiting room after putting all the food he brought.

At that time Naya did not know Kiran so hesitantly Naya asked Roka about the man she thought was strange. Roka explained that Kiran is indeed a person who does not like crowds, hangs out with many people, and gets along with many people, and the most important thing is the fact that Kiran is very reluctant to be close to women where the waiting room is crowded by male and female basketball teams and even cheers members. Therefore Kiran seemed reluctant to be there and immediately left as soon as she put down all the food she was carrying.

Even after that, when Roka often invites Kiran to go together and hang out with the basketball children, Kiran always tries to avoid and keep her distance so that Roka inevitably has to pull over and accompany Kiran. Initially very stiff and cold Kiran also on Naya, he rarely answered if invited to talk and always seemed not interested in anything Naya said. Until a few months passed, Kiran finally began to respond to Naya and wanted to talk a little more even with awkwardness and a little ogah-ogahan.

And now, with her own eyes Naya witnessed how the cold and stiff figure had softened, she had managed to return to being herself without any more fear accompanying her.

"Why smile? Crazy huh?" Roka nudged Naya's arm when she realized the girl was staring out the car window with a big smile.

Naya replies to Roka, "Lo is crazy. I just looked at the two of them, "Naya pointed out the window.

Roka followed the direction of Naya's index finger, finding Kiran and Chandana who were walking quietly while chatting lightly with a knotty smile that was not the slightest hint of light from her second lip, "Gue was even more fussy," Roka said shush.

That day, it all went by quickly. Kiran takes Naya back home and drops Chandana off at a cafe and waits for her to be picked up by the driver. For some reason, Chandana forbids Kiran and her other friends from coming to her house for any reason.

Naha had been curious about it, he wanted to ask the reason Chandana forbade them to come but until now Naya felt she had not found the right opportunity and time for it. Therefore Naya thinks maybe she can ask Chandana later when they have returned to school as usual because Naya will definitely have more time to discuss various things along with her Chandanas.

Upon arrival at home, Naya finds her father and mother watching television together in the living room while leaning against each other. Naya smiled realizing this. Not wanting to disturb, Naya took off her shoes and walked on tiptoes to her room.

Surprised, Naya turned to the sofa in the living room. He found himself a spectacle for his mother and father.

Naya nodded with both hands still holding the shoes, "Hehe. Playing with friends."

Rosa smiled slightly, "Brandi used to be there just ate. Mama's cooking for you."

Naya nodded in spirit and then stepped quickly towards the room. In a hurry, Naya cleaned herself up then changed into clothes. Somehow Naya wants to go down immediately and tell her intention to bring Roka with her mother. Naya wants to ask her mother for her opinion on this plan.

In a hurry, Naya walked towards the kitchen. There he found Rosa standing next to the stove to heat the soup she had cooked some time ago.

Naya walked over and hugged her mother in the back, "Ma, Naya wants to say something! Mama, don't be surprised?"

Rosa smiled then turned to face Naya who had now let go of her embrace, "Say what exactly?"

Naya smiled excitedly, "Naya has a male friend. Naya is very close to him, yes Mama knows what the near meaning is. Well, she's a nice kid and very cheerful, but she has a little problem with the family especially with her mother. Naya wants to take him home so Mama can meet and talk to him. Only once if the same Mama he can tell things that he can not tell to Naya. Mama want it?"

Rosa smiled knot. He felt happy because now Naya has re-opened herself to men. Enthusiastically, Rosa nodded, "If she wants to, tomorrow's all day Mama's just at home."

Naya hugged Rosa tightly while smiling broadly, "Still Ma! Naya will tell him."

---

The weather covered the sky this morning. Cold air burst in through the thick jacket Naya was wearing. He is now sitting on the terrace of the house while waiting for the arrival of Roka.

Unexpectedly, after Naya informs Roka that her mother is willing to meet Roka the next day, the man quickly expresses his agreement. Roka said faster is better. At least by coming early Roka will not have the burden of the mind and do not need to struggle any longer.

After waiting for approximately fifteen minutes, the smooth sound of the Roka motor machine was heard in front of the tightly closed fence of Naya's house. The girl rushed out and opened the fence as Roka honked her motor horn.

Roka parked her motorbike in the trunk of Naya's house and then disarmed one by one the driving gear she was wearing. After taking off the helmet, Roka tidied up her clothes while looking at Naya nervously.

Naya smiles then grabs Roka's hand, "Let's go in."

Roka rubbed the sweat on her forehead, "Lo sure?"

Naya laughed when she realized Roka was sweating so much. Even Roka's palms were so drenched in cold sweat, "My mom was so fierce!" Naya tries to tease Roka who now looks more nervous.

"What a dong lo ah! My body is excited to see my mother-in-law!" Roka rubbed her forehead once more while wetting her lips with her tongue.

Naya shook her head slowly, "Nothing. My mom has been waiting for you!"

Naya pulls Roka's palm, trying to make it quieter by gently rubbing Roka's fingers with her tapered fingers. Doubtfully, Roka walked to follow where Naya had taken her.

Naya could clearly feel how nervous Roka was when seen from her expression and gurgling. Even Naya could feel that Roka's hand which was now being held was shaking violently.

Naya guides Roka towards the dining room where her mother has prepared dishes and banquets for Roka.

"Ma, this is Naya's friend!" Naya exclaimed cheerfully, making Rosa who was busy stirring something in the pot rushed to look at her daughter.

Rosa smiled cheerfully, she walked up to Naya and the boy who looked down embarrassedly behind Naya.

"Hello, I'm Mama Naya," Rosa reached out her hand.

Nervous and heart pounding, Roka shook her hand and looked up.

Roka choked, her heart that was beating fast suddenly stopped as well as her chest cavity that seemed to lose all the oxygen that was inside there. After being silent for a few seconds, Roka regained her consciousness and hurriedly jerked her hand with a hardened jaw and a stiffened expression.

"This is your mother? Ha.. Funnier. Funny enough," Roka smiled bitterly then walked quickly out of Naya's house, leaving Naya with a million questions and Rosa standing pecking with tears in her eyes.
