Chandanas

Chandanas
Section 31

Roka sighed once again watching Kiran's annoying behavior. Since returning from the morning's activities, Kiran has continued to be moody and does not heed everything Roka said. For almost two hours his best friend was busy daydreaming while staring blankly at the window. At times like this, there was nothing Roka could do but wait, because no matter how hard she tried, Kiran would still not care about it and would stay like this until she felt better.

Sometimes Roka is confused by Kiran's mechanism of stress relief and anxiety. Instead of seeking entertainment, it seems that sitting still and daydreaming is much more potent for the man.

Not so long, Bagas came out of the bathroom bare-chested while a small towel wrapped around his neck, "Who wants to take a bath? So full of water. I took a shower yesterday."

Roka turned away from her phone, "Hahaha! Body loh kerem terperceng. In the ises mostly sitting lo!" Roka looked up at Bagas's flattened posture.

There really are no muscle bulges at all in Bagas' body. His chest and stomach were flattened to clear his ribs. His arms were small, almost like bones that were only wrapped in skin. Roka did not expect Bagas to be this straight considering he looks more contained if he was wearing a school uniform.

"Abroad lo. Look here, how good is your body? I could think of my body being flat again. Heh?" although Bagas realized his body was thin and not contained, but he still tried to provide a defense by challenging Roka.

"Waa really, really a kid. You don't know if the vice-chairman of this basketball team has the most body goals in school?" Roka put her phone on the bed, then took off her shirt.

Bagas snorted, his mouth gaping wide to see Roka volunteering to show his muscles, "Buset. How can this be a gini line?" bagas said as he walked closer to Roka, checking the authenticity of the abs in his stomach.

"Heheh? The gimane?" Roka clenched her hands together, making her biceps stiffen to reveal solid muscle mounds.

Bagas held the muscles in Roka's arms, chest, and stomach with great admiration. Is this the body of an athlete?

"It's not just me, Kiran is also a good body, even her abs are more perfect. Diligent ngegym or workouts themselves at home. What's the stomach contents must be just the same cilor noodles biting doang so your body is very thin rich in copy paper!" Roka patted Bagas' stomach until splashed, making Bagas smile embarrassed because he rarely exercised.

"Gue see your body also dong Bro!" Bagas walked up to Kiran who was still not budging at all from her original position.

Roka pulled Bagas away from Kiran, "He's thinking about human survival a hundred years down the line. Don't be bothered," Roka whispered softly, trying to make Bagas not approach Kiran.

Bagas chuckled as he shook his head slowly, "Yee, the bangor. Yaudah sono shower stinks lo kekan!" abugn.

Roka clung to Bagas' head, then walked into the bathroom.

Kiran is still pensive. The shadow of how Rendi touched and hugged Chandana continuously swirled in her head. He did not understand what was wrong with him until it was very disturbing. If what he felt right now was jealousy, then where did this feeling come from? Why is he jealous? Wasn't he just expecting a friendship with Chandana from the beginning? Doesn't he just want to be close and be friends with the girl? And now what? Why did her heart feel so hot when she recalled what she saw this morning?

Kiran sighed. It was not the time he thought about his baseless jealousy. Now that Kiran is trying to share her thoughts, she begins to question how Chandana is doing right now. Apparently Naya has not yet contacted Kiran to deliver the news.

"Lo why, I noticed mulu mulu daritadi?" Bagas who had just finished wearing a t-shirt and combing his hair walked towards Kiran then sat down next to her.

Kiran did not flinch. He looked straight ahead with a blank look.

"Bro?" Bagas called Kiran.

"Simba!"

"On tokopedia, only!"

Bagas snorted in annoyance as Kiran ignored him completely. Feeling tired, Bagas decided to take the bolster and hit Kiran's back with all his might, making his friend almost topple forward.

"Buset, how are you going to kill me?" Kiran exclaimed loudly after getting a hard blow from the white bolster that Bagas took from his mattress.

If you are thinking seriously, Kiran often ignores the surrounding environment. He also has no taste for talking or responding to unnecessary things until his mind calms down or manages to find a way out. But being damprat with a roll like this was really the first time for him so he had no choice but to respond.

"Lagian elo, I'm so scared what? What the hell else? Tinkerbell?" Bagas looked at the window, trying to figure out what was so interesting that it left Kiran glued.

"It's none of your business" Kiran laid herself on the bed with a sigh.

Bagas threw the bolster that he had taken back to his place, "Gue the same kids are always curious. Do you have a double personality? A moment hilarious, a moment baek, a moment cuek duck, a moment very stiff it face, soon daydreaming rich mulu Minister," Bagas also laid himself next to Kiran, he said, while Kiran looked indifferent to Bagas' words.

Not giving up, Bagas again tried, "Gue joined the osis since the 10th grade. I hung out with people's macems, had experience macems," Bagas stalled, glancing at Kiran who was seen starting to listen to him.

"In organizations, there's always such a thing as a problem. Each department always has its own problems. For example, my field has problems, of course it will not all run if only I think of the solution. Although others have different fields and problems, but I can always get new knowledge from their point of view. Story and ask opinions to others, find where the fault lies, just think of the right solution," Bagas again glanced at Kiran who now fully listened to his words.

"So is lo. You obviously have different personalities and problems with me, with Roka, with each other. But if every problem is all lo simple itself, you think alone, and you own responsibility, you will never be able to learn. You will be stressed and sad alone. Sometimes the story is not just to find a solution, but to get a feeling of relief, make yourself calm because you know that you are not alone," Bagas patted Kiran on the shoulder, and her expression began to soften.

"Still, Gas. Lo bener's. I'm too selfish with myself, with you guys. Lo really, you know," Kiran felt water welling up in her eyes because she heard Bagas say.

While Bagas manages to calm Kiran down, Roka stands behind the bathroom door with her right hand pressed against the doorknob. He listened to everything Kiran and Bagas were talking about so a feeling of relief burst into his heart. He hopes that after this Kiran will be willing to involve Roka in all the difficulties he feels, not just share his joy. Roka wanted to be useful to Kiran at least this time alone. He wants Kiran to tell him that Roka will not be late again, so that he does not regret his failure in fulfilling the promise to continue to protect Kiran.

---

The day passed quickly without anyone noticing. Some students are busy and drowning in the joy of the holiday that will soon arrive, while others are busy guessing what they will do during the holidays later.

After the incident that occurred during the outbound activity yesterday, Kiran had trouble meeting Chandana. The girl somehow keeps avoiding Kiran, avoiding everyone. Another thing that makes Kiran even more clueless is the attitude of Naya who also followed to avoid it.

Now they arrive at the last night of school activities. All gathered in the front yard of one of the villas, encircling a bonfire with a red flame, its flame blazing with a beautiful twinge in the air. Almost all eyes were on the fire. Drowning in the mind and tranquility that momentarily created because they are still waiting for the next command of the event committee.

Kiran, Roka, Naya, and Chandana. Kiran, Roka, and Naya sat cross-legged while Chandana sat hugging her knees, hiding her face while staring blankly at the flame in front of her. The four of them sat far apart, but judging from wherever their expressions looked almost the same. Cheerful and not cheerful. Too many problems, too many secrets that they ponder from each of them.

Kiran sighed then shifted her gaze from the burning flames to the girl next to her. Ratih had been watching him since the beginning of Kiran's arrival without even trying to speak. The girl just sat cross-legged while propping up her chin, observing Kiran calmly without trying to interrupt the daydream of the person she was looking at.

"What's wrong?" Kiran asked. In the end, he had to invite Ratih to talk because it was horrified to also be looked at up close for a long time.

Ratih shook his head slowly, straightening his body gracefully, "There's nothing. I'm confused, you are always like this or just like this when something is troubling you?"

Kiran turned to look at Ratih, her brows furrowed in surprise, "How are you?"

"Morung," said Ratih slowly, almost whispering.

Kiran smiled, "Gue is always this gloomy, Ratih."

"Not grim. It's just... That you are lonely too often. Isn't it?" Ratih looked at Kiran right in his eyes.

"Why think like that? Maybe you forget I'm always the same everywhere Roka," although Kiran slightly agrees with Ratih's opinion, she can't just say that given the fact that Kiran is indeed often with Roka.

"Lonely and lonely is different, Kiran. Alone when there is only you without anyone else at all. While the loneliness was when your body was in the crowd, but your heart still felt alone," Ratih still stared intensely at Kiran, exploring the flawless handsome face that lay before her.

Have I felt that way all this time? Kiran. He wasn't sure, but it seemed as if the phrase Ratih sounded reasonable.

Kiran smiled wryly. He must immediately make Ratih turn away from him before the panic regains him.

"Gue is complicated. I shouldn't have allowed us to be friends in the first place. It would be better if we stay as far apart as before, Ratih. For my good, especially for your good," Kiran said softly. He did not want to give Ratih false hope while he was still hesitating about his feelings for Chandana.

"But from then on, until now, I still like you!" Train me to not be honest.

Just a few days he can be close together, look at, even talk with a heart that has been almost unachievable. Ratih did not want to give up, he still wanted to like Kiran as he was now. Over time, he could even still feel the growing amount of joy in his heart for Kiran. He did not want Kiran to push him back as much as she had done a few months ago. Even if he can only be a friend, Ratih does not mind as long as he can understand, recognize, and be close to the person who has inhabited his heart all this time.

Hearing the words of Ratih made Kiran choked until her throat dried up. His worries really happened. The memory of how Ratih expressed feelings for her a few months ago is back.

At that time some of his friends called Kiran to go out of class. Kiran initially refused because at first glance she saw a crowd outside, but she continued to be forced until finally had no choice but to obey their words.

Kiran walked hesitantly while her friends walked behind her by occasionally pushing the back of Kiran who was about to turn around to return to the classroom.

After all the dilemmas and encouragement from his friends Kiran arrives in front of the class. The first thing he saw was a woman standing in front of him carrying a heart-shaped cork board that at once covered almost the entire upper body. Kiran was astonished by all this.

Kiran wondered even more as her eyes saw a crowd of students circling the two of them with cheerful smiles. At that moment, Kiran was completely confused and did not understand what was happening until the girl before her lowered the cork she was holding onto her chest, revealing a sweet smile to Kiran with a flushed face.

"Gue likes you. If you are willing to be my partner, you accept this heart. If not, you broke her heart," the beautiful girl held out the heart-shaped cork to Kiran.

On the other hand, Kiran's heart was pounding fast. Cold sweat began to flow through his face and palms. Hearing the word like makes Kiran ring with the words of the girl who was hurt by it in elementary school, ranted with all the boos he received from people because the little girl was hurt just for liking him.

Kiran began to tremble while the cheers from the students who were crowding were even more crowded. Without thinking much, Kiran took the cork and broke it while saying, "Sorry," very slowly. He ran to the bathroom because he started to feel short of breath. Of course he did not want to collapse in front of many people.

Just then, the last thing he saw was a drop of rolling tears falling from the eye patch of Ratih right after Kiran gave a rejection.
