"Look at what?" Edy touched Kiran's shoulder, making the man who was staring straight at the ceiling jump.
"No," Kiran dodged. He was still trying to understand what Rendi was really looking at.
Meanwhile, the closing event continued. The excitement is presented beautifully and amazingly. All spectators look happy and joyful, including the Minister of Youth and Sports who took the opportunity to attend the closing event of this year's tournament.
Dozens of men in black were seen standing around Mr. Minister. Kiran concluded they were guards or bodyguards assigned to maintain the security of the Minister. In addition, there are also many security officers from the police who are seen guarding in various corners. Naturally, this event is a big event, involving dozens of teams from various regions spread across Indonesia. Guests were not playing games, officials and city officials were seen sitting in vip chairs with expensive treats served at their tables.
Kiran sighed as she felt unable to find anything strange on the ceiling that Rendi had previously noticed. The man also apparently left because Kiran could not find him when he looked back at the audience.
Once again Kiran rested her back on the chair. Stare without interest to the point that is the center of everyone's attention. Now he just hopes this event is finished so that the match can start immediately so that Kiran can immediately finish the affairs of the match and focus on handling other problems that he has not been able to finish.
Time keeps going. The stadium grew increasingly crowded, especially after Mr. Minister inaugurated the closing ceremony which indirectly led them to the final chapter.
Kiran and his colleagues have been in the dressing room since thirty minutes ago. There, they shared strategies and offered prayers using words and sentences that were diverse even though the core was almost the same.
Kiran took off her futsal shoes and took out the foreign object inside. A medium-sized pebble was thrown out when Kiran turned the shoe upside down. Kiran had always felt uncomfortable. Although he was curious about where and how a pebble could fit into his shoes, Kiran chose not to care too much. It is not the time that he thinks of unnecessary things while big games wait to be won as well as complicated problems waiting to be resolved.
Edy gathered his team members together, ordering them to form a small circle with hands that held each other's shoulders standing to their right and to their left.
"Today, whatever happens, do your best! The problem of the results of recent affairs is important we all survived and gave the best for the school! Make family! Do it for ourselves and for the people we love!" Edy looked at Kiran for a moment after she finished her sentence. As if aware that Kiran is experiencing obstacles in her romance.
They were all compactly lowered while closing their eyes. Pray once more for the same goal, victory.
"Okay, let's fight them!" Edy exclaimed, pumping the spirit of all its members who also voiced similar exclamations.
Kiran smiled faintly, seeing her comrades full of hope and ambition made Kiran want to try even better to win this match. He wants to present a beautiful victory to all so that they can tell the struggles and difficulties during the course of this tournament with pride and joy.
Crowd cheers started to sound from the audience area as the match commentator started to utter the opening line. All members who will compete began to be filled with nervousness that makes them pound. Not a few who start to sweat cold due to feeling depressed.
When others are busy jumping, warming up or just stretching their muscles in an effort to relieve nervousness, Kiran stands in one corner with her arms crossed. Instead of not feeling as nervous as the others, Kiran was just facing a situation where she seemed to be in a dream. Hearing the noise out there made him feel as if none of this was real.
Everyone must have felt that way. Being in a crowd, but feeling alone. It is as if everything that happens around is just a picture while we ourselves as people who see it from the outside even though we are actually part of the crowd. That's what Kiran feels.
Not long after, the match commentator shouted the name of the opposing team, calling them to immediately enter the field. Kiran and her comrades immediately gathered together and formed a line as their turn would arrive seconds later.
"Futsal team SMA Coconut Shoots!" shouted the commentator, his voice echoed loudly throughout the stadium especially when coupled with the cheers of the audience when he saw the members of the Coconut Shoot team began to appear one by one.
As always, though, all members of both teams greeted each other and shook hands before the captains of each team raffled a coin with the referee to determine who would kick off to open their match this time around.
Because Edy was in the selection, the opposing team managed to get a chance to kick off first.
*Priiiiiiiittt*
And the match began.
Without much mince-talking, the opposing team immediately made an attack to the heart of the Coconut Shoot team's defense. Edy and some of his colleagues were surprised by the attack pattern of the opponent is very fast, lucky they can adapt and block the first attack well and swiftly.
Now that the ball was at Edy's feet, he pointed to one of the points then passed the ball towards Kiran who was seen running to that point. Successfully getting the ball, Kiran ran quickly to the opponent's defense area. Instead of passing the ball to Bayu who is free without guard, he prefers to shoot directly that actually hit the opponent's goalpost.
Kiran turned her face towards her comrades while apologizing. Edy nodded at a glance while giving a thumbs up. However, Kiran realizes that she has trouble controlling her emotions after everything she knows today. Once there was a sense of regret in Kiran's heart for seeking the truth right before she faced an important match. Even so he does not want to give up, he will still try hard and desperately control himself in order to bring his team to victory.
The ball is back on the field. Sell-buy attacks continue to occur to make the audience feel anxious and upset themselves because it never created a goal.
With a gasp of breath, Kiran passed the ball to Bayu. He was still running small when he accidentally saw the large lights on the roof of the field slightly swaying. Feeling wronged, Kiran looked up again as the lights swayed again.
"Roman!" shouted Damar, making Kiran whose attention was distracted feel surprised and actually lost the ball.
Kiran apologized once again for acting recklessly. This time Edy decided to replace Kiran with another player and told him to take a short break to refocus, "Lo sat down first. Focus Ran!" edy exclaimed as Kiran walked slowly to the sidelines.
Kiran greeted some of her colleagues who were sitting on the bench while sipping a bottle of drink. He sat quietly while observing the opponent's game. To be honest, the Balaraja children's game looks more neat and difficult to match than their opponent's game this time. But because Kiran lost focus and concentration, he actually made other members feel the loss by failing to score until now.
Kiran took a deep breath then exhaled heavily. He looked up to relax his neck as his eyes again caught the still-shaking lights. His position had been slightly more down than the last time Kiran saw him.
Not long after, Kiran began to feel a bad premonition. I don't know what it is, something bad is going to happen soon. He shook his head slowly while pounding his ears then combing the spectator bench. He is trying to find his family who said they will see the game today.
Kiran smiled knot. If it wasn't for her and also her friends, at least Kiran would have to win this match for them. For family.
With confidence and determination that managed to displace anxiety over unresolved issues, Kiran felt herself able to focus and defend their team once again.
Kiran was about to signal Edy when the referee blew the first half-time whistle. All the players who were on the field started to walk to the edge and approach their officials.
Edy downed a bottle of drinking water then sat right next to Kiran, "Where? Can you concentrate?" edy asked while wiping the sweat on his face and neck using a towel.
Kiran nodded steadily, "Udah. Sorry, I shouldn't have behaved that way. If I had just oper bo-"
"Udahlah. After this you go in, hit their goal, okay?" Edy patted Kiran on the shoulder while smiling.
Kiran nodded then made a slight warm-up before the second half began.
Several opposing team players begin entering the field when the referee informs them that the match will resume soon. Kiran and several other colleagues also entered the field and took places in their respective positions.
The whistle was blown again and the second round match began. As before, the opposing team again made a quick attack shortly after kick off. But the difference this time the defenders of Tunas Kelapa already know the attack scheme so they can defend well.
The goalkeeper kicked the ball and fed it to Bayu. Bayu ran past several opposing players skillfully, after seeing Kiran asking for the ball, Bayu passed the ball which successfully landed at Kiran's feet.
Kiran rattled the ball and then ran hard and shot a beautiful kick at the opponent's goal, breaking the deadlock and changing the score of the glasses since half-time.
"Gooooooollll!"
"Wooooooooo!"
Hilarious cheers echoed throughout the stadium, joy enveloping everyone's face when in the end the goal was created in this match. Contrary to the happiness engraved on the faces of the supporters of Tunas Kelapa High School, the opposing team supporters look weak and disappointed. The sound of drums and songs that they had been singing had suddenly disappeared from the surface, replaced by cries of happiness from every supporter of Coconut Shoot High School.
Kiran walked in relief while looking at her friends. Within seconds all of Kiran's teammates had jumped at him, giving him a warm hug as well as being happy as they could outscore the opposing team. Now their job is to maintain the existing advantage until the game time is over.
Not wanting to lapse any longer, Kiran returned to her position. The opposing team was still preparing to kick off when Kiran looked up again and found the lights that had just been wobbling now hanging, as if they were about to fall.
Kiran was about to think of a solution to this when the ball rolled back on the field. Kiran is at a dilemma between chasing the ball or going to contact the event party. He was still standing in confusion as Edy shouted a reprimand and fed the ball to Kiran.
Without a second thought, Kiran greeted the ball and ran through the field. He looked up several times and realized that the lamp was sagging and hanging. That thing is really going to fall.
Focus up! kiran shouted to herself as she managed to reclaim the ball that had been stolen from her.
Kiran ran into the opponent's defense area, outwitted several players, then passed the ball to Bayu who smoothly returned to vibrate the opponent's net.
The stadium was rumbling again, this time much louder and louder than before. At least with the rest of the game time just counting minutes, victory seems to have been in the grasp.
On the other hand, the large sound frequency coupled with the action of the audience who did the celebration by jumping together made the lamp that almost fell was increasingly at the tip of the horn.
Kiran looked up again. He should immediately tell this to the security forces.
Kiran hurried to the edge of the field. He walked at a quick pace while looking up occasionally as Edy called out to him.
"Good, Ran!" shouted Edy who was now a dozen meters away from where Kiran was standing.
Kiran smiled faintly then looked up again to make sure the lamp was still in place. Kiran had just intended to sigh in relief as she found the sole cable holding the light off, making the huge lamp roll down and it was about to hit... Edy's?
Kiran ran quickly, he pushed Edy's body strong to make his captain bounced very far while he was the one who was hit by the lamp.
The whole field was screaming watching what was happening on the field. Roka who was sitting next to Naya on one of the audience benches also widened and burst onto the field a second later.
Liliana screamed to see her son covered in blood while Pradipta ran down the stairs after the stairs to get down to the field.
After being silent from shock for a split second, all of Kiran's comrades rushed towards her. While Edy was still sitting in place with trembling hands and eyes wide open.
That afternoon was pride and victory for the Coconut Shoots. But once again, for a pride and historical nicks that they managed to achieve, there is a price to be paid. A very expensive price.
